The detector 32 is configured to detect at least one noise generating event or user behavior event that causes x-ray imaging image quality above a threshold image quality during an x-ray guided procedure using the x-ray imaging system 50. The controller 74 is configured to automatically adjust x-ray system parameters that affect image quality and radiation dose based on the detection of at least one of the noise generating event or the user behavior event.
