To prolong a service life by making the most of high wear resistance while compensating weakness to impact.SOLUTION: In a casing bit 11 having a bit main body 13 fixed to the tip of a casing pipe and a tip 15 held by the bit main body 13, four flat inclined surfaces 53 constituting one apex part 52 and chamfered parts 54 between them are provided on the tip part 51 of the tip 15. Two chamfered parts 54 at opposite positions are directed in the longitudinal direction corresponding to the circumferential direction of the casing pipe, and the other two chamfered parts 54 are directed in the lateral direction. The chamfered portion (54) facing in the front-rear direction and the chamfered portion (54) facing in the left-right direction are formed in a linear shape elongated in the vertical direction corresponding to the length direction of the casing pipe when viewed from the front-rear direction and the left-right direction, respectively, and the axis passing through the apex portion (52) is oriented in the vertical direction.
