Abstract

To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a magnetic viscous fluid device capable of improving a magnetic particle content within a predetermined error range when the magnetic particle content of a magnetic viscous fluid supplied to a component member of the device before the magnetic viscous fluid is filled is out of the predetermined error range with respect to a specified value.SOLUTION: The method for producing the magnetorheological fluid device includes a supplying step of supplying a predetermined amount of the magnetorheological fluid from the vessel 20 to the 10a of the constituent member, a measuring step of measuring the weight of the 10a of the constituent member to which the magnetorheological fluid is supplied, and a determining step of determining whether the weight or the concentration of the magnetorheological fluid calculated based on the weight is within a predetermined error range with respect to a specified value, and a concentration improving step of supplying a dispersion medium or magnetic particles contained in the magnetorheological fluid or a magnetorheological fluid having a concentration different from that of the magnetorheological fluid to the 10a of the constituent member determined not to be within the error range to bring the concentration of the magnetorheological fluid supplied to the 10a of the constituent member close to the specified value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
