To provide a digital substation system which is composed of an IED (IntelligentElectricDevice) and an MU (MergingUnit), and can achieve transmission line protection using a PCM differential current system.SOLUTION: An IED that executes a PCM relay operation using first current value data that is a first current value flowing to one end of a power transmission line and second current value data that is a second current value flowing to the other end of the power transmission line; a MU that acquires a first current value flowing to the one end of the power transmission line and converts the first current value to first current value data that is digital data, the MU being provided with: an input unit that acquires the first current value; a conversion unit that converts the first current value to first current value data; a first communication interface that receives the second current value data via a transmission path; and a synchronization processing unit that executes sampling synchronization of the first current value and the second current value flowing to the other end and outputs the first current value data and the second current value data after the sampling synchronization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
