Abstract

An image analysis device and a control method for an image analysis device are provided that can easily correct the contours of a target structure that are assigned to two types of ultrasound images that represent different cross sections. [Solution] The image analysis device includes a contour assignment unit (12) that assigns a first contour and a second contour of a target structure to a first ultrasound image and a second ultrasound image, respectively; a manual correction acceptance unit (17) that accepts corrections made by a user to the second contour; a first feature extraction unit (16) that extracts a first feature from the first ultrasound image; a second feature extraction unit (18) that extracts a second feature from information on the corrections made by the user to the second contour; and a contour resetting unit (19) that automatically resets the first contour based on the first feature and the second feature.
