Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide an agent and kit for gene modification of hematopoietic stem cells, and a gene modification method. [Solution] A gene modification agent according to an embodiment is an agent for performing genome editing on genes in hematopoietic stem cells. The gene modification agent comprises a genome editing molecule and a lipid particle encapsulating the genome editing molecule. The lipid particle has an inner cavity composed of a lipid membrane. The lipid composition includes at least a first lipid and a second lipid. The second lipid is more abundant than the first lipid, the total of the first lipid and the second lipid is 40 mol% or less, and the total of the cationic lipid is 60 mol% or less.
