Abstract

To provide a member for a railway vehicle that has high strength and can be easily manufactured. [Solution] A member (10) for a railway vehicle (1) is attached to a basic component of a bogie (2). The member (10) includes a top plate (11) and a first side plate (12). The first side plate (12) is formed integrally with the top plate (11). The first side plate (12) includes a pair of first portions (121, 122). The first portions (121, 122) face each other in a cross-sectional view taken along the thickness direction of the top plate (11).
