Abstract

During a call, it is possible to grasp the type and amount of noise occurring in the received audio signal played on the handset. [Solution] The handset PS1 plays back (Fig. 5(C)) the received voice signal (Fig. 5(B)) from the base unit CS1, converts it to a digital signal to form a reply voice signal (Fig. 5(D)), stores it in an area different from the storage area for the transmitted voice signal, and returns it to the base unit CS1. The base unit CS1 stores the reply voice signal from the handset in a reply voice storage unit (Fig. 5(E)). The base unit CS1 stores the received voice signal sent to the handset PS1 in the received voice storage unit (Fig. 5(A)). The comparison processing unit of the base unit CS1 compares the reply voice signal in the reply voice storage unit (Fig. 5(E)) with the received voice signal in the same part of the received voice storage unit 1 (Fig. 5(A)), and detects the occurrence of noise.
