Abstract

To provide an ignition coil that has a high-voltage element while being easy to assemble. [Solution] The ignition coil 2 according to one embodiment comprises a coil assembly 10 having a primary coil 18, a secondary coil 20 and an iron core 22, an output tower 8, a high-voltage element 14 located between the coil assembly 10 and the output tower 8, a case 4 having an opening 15 and housing the coil assembly 10 and the high-voltage element 14, and a hardened filler 24 made of a fluid filler 44 filled inside the case 4. The output tower 8 covers a part of the opening 15, and the portion of the opening 15 not covered by the output tower 8 constitutes an inlet 42 for filling the case 4 with the filler.
