Abstract

The present invention provides a heating system that can heat the object to be heated to a higher temperature. [Solution] The system includes a storage tank 10 for storing the object to be heated 1, a heat transfer medium circulation path 20 for circulating a liquid heat transfer medium 2, a portion of which is in close proximity to the storage tank 10 and heats the storage tank 10 by heat exchange with the heat transfer medium 2, a buffer tank 23 provided in the heat transfer medium circulation path 20 which forms a liquid phase L by the heat transfer medium 2 in a part of its internal space, and a gas phase pressure adjustment unit 40 which adjusts the pressure of the gas phase G present on the liquid phase L in the internal space of the buffer tank 23. The gas phase pressure adjustment unit 40 adjusts the gas phase G in the internal space of the buffer tank 23 to be higher than atmospheric pressure, thereby increasing the pressure of the heat transfer medium 2 in the heat transfer medium circulation path 20 and raising the boiling point of the heat transfer medium 2 to be higher than under atmospheric pressure conditions.
