Abstract

To provide a roller bearing that offers improved assembly compared to conventional structures. [Solution] The roller bearing comprises an inner ring 2, an outer ring, a plurality of rollers provided between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring, and a cage that holds the rollers. The inner ring 2 or the outer ring has a flange 6 at its axial end. A chamfer Cf is provided on the inner edge 9 of the flange 6. In a cross-section of the flange 6 cut by a virtual plane containing the axis of the roller bearing, the dimension L1 of the bevel in the chamfer Cf is 1 mm or more and 5 mm or less. Furthermore, in the cross-section, the radial circumferential surface 6a and the axial inner surface 6b of the flange 6 have flat portions 16 and 17, respectively. The axial outer edge Cfa of the chamfer Cf is connected to the flat portion 16 provided on the radial circumferential surface 6a of the flange 6, and the axial inner edge Cfb of the chamfer Cf is connected to the flat portion 17 provided on the axial inner surface 6b of the flange 6.
