Abstract
The objective is to provide an energy storage system that can effectively suppress and extinguish fires. [Solution] Disclosed is an energy storage system (10) comprising a plurality of cell units (1110), a plurality of battery modules (1100), a module unit (1000), and a pipe section (300) connected to a fire extinguishing tank (200) containing fire extinguishing agent and extending into the module unit (1000), wherein the pipe section (300) comprises a main pipe (310) extending from the fire extinguishing tank (200) and a sub-pipe (320) branching from the main pipe (310), one end of the sub-pipe (320) connected to a first branching point of the main pipe (310), and the other end of the sub-pipe (320) connected to a second branching point of the main pipe (310), and the sub-pipe extending so as to pass through all of the plurality of battery modules (1100).
