Abstract

This child car seat provides a mechanism that encourages caregivers to attach the top tether to the seat. [Solution] The child seat 1000 includes a seat body and a top tether mechanism 4 connected to a backrest 2. The top tether mechanism includes a belt assembly 41, one end of which is connected to the seat body and the other end of which is provided with an engaging member 412 for engaging with the vehicle seat, and a retaining member 42 connected to the seat body and the belt assembly. The retaining member is an elastic member and supports the belt assembly by applying an upward force to it, and includes a retaining member that protrudes upward relative to the child seat. When the belt assembly is relaxed, the retaining member can support the belt assembly so that it protrudes upward relative to the backrest. When the belt assembly is taut, the belt assembly can press against the retaining member and elastically deform it.
