To date, there is still a need in this field for more efficient cancer treatment. More specifically, there is still a lack of tools that can be used for more effective cancer immunotherapy. [Solution] The present invention relates to the use of human growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF-15) inhibitors in the treatment of solid tumors, and to the use of such inhibitors in combination with immune checkpoint blockers.
