Abstract

The present invention provides an adhesive surface forming apparatus for a sheet, which forms an adhesive surface on the sheet, and for which the parts of the sheet other than the adhesive surface are less susceptible to heat, and a method for manufacturing wearable articles using this apparatus. [Solution] The adhesive surface forming apparatus (50) comprises a first rotating body (60) having a first heater (64) and a first body (62), the first body rotating around a first rotation axis (O1), and a second rotating body (70) having a second heater (76), a second body (72), and a forming member (74) attached to the second body, the second body rotating around a second rotation axis (O2). The forming member is arranged to protrude locally in the circumferential direction of the second rotation axis and radially outward from the second body. The outer circumferential surface (72a) of the first body and the outer circumferential surface (74a) of the forming member sandwich the sheet being conveyed between the first rotating body and the forming member, thereby forming an embossed adhesive surface on the sheet discontinuously in the conveying direction of the sheet.
