Abstract

This prevents liquid refrigerant from being drawn into the compression mechanism. [Solution] The partition member 40 separates a first region 2A, where the electric motor 20 is located, from a second region 3A, where the compression mechanism 30 is located, while communicating with the intake path, inside the case 10. The partition member 40 includes an intake port 43, an exhaust port 44, and an evaporation path 45. The intake port 43 opens into the first region 2A at a position above the axis C and draws in the refrigerant in the first region 2A. The exhaust port 44 is located below the axis C and discharges the refrigerant drawn in from the intake port 43 into the inside of the compression mechanism 30. The evaporation path 45 is provided inside the partition member 40, connects the intake port 43 and the exhaust port 44, and is configured to allow the liquid refrigerant LR drawn in from the intake port 43 to evaporate.
