Reel cable and method for manufacturing a reel cable

Abstract

The present invention provides a reel cable that can suppress the accumulation of cable twisting during cable winding without the use of lubricants, and a method for manufacturing a reel cable. [Solution] The reel cable 1 comprises a cable 2 having a bundled core 22 made up of multiple electric wires 21 twisted together, and a sheath 23 covering the bundled core, and a reel 3 having a pair of opposing flanges 31 and a shaft 32 connecting the pair of flanges 31, and winding the cable 2 around the shaft 32. When winding the cable 2 onto the reel 3, the cable 2 is wound while continuously or intermittently contacting the inner wall of one of the flanges 31, and the twisting direction of the bundled core 22 of the cable 2 is the same as the direction in which the cable 2 rotates due to friction with the inner wall when the cable 2 is wound.
