Method for manufacturing fiber-reinforced resin molded articles

Abstract

To provide a method for manufacturing fiber-reinforced resin molded articles that can suppress a decrease in productivity even when the width of the rib-forming groove is narrow. [Solution] The method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin molded article comprises, in this order, a placement step of placing fiber material in a mold, a provisioning step of applying a thermosetting resin composition to the cavity, and a molding step of pressing the fiber material and the thermosetting resin composition together to impregnate the fiber material with the thermosetting resin composition and cure it, wherein the rib-forming groove of the mold has an expanded portion at its entrance that widens toward the main body, and the placement step includes a process of partially placing SMC material in the mold and a process of placing continuous fiber material throughout the cavity that covers the placed SMC material and forms the main body, and the partial placement process is a process of placing the SMC material in the expanded portion of the rib-forming groove, thereby providing a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin molded article that can suppress a decrease in productivity even if the width of the rib-forming groove is narrow.
