Abstract

Electronic devices consume a lot of power when detecting the user's gaze. [Solution] The electronic device of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a first detection means for detecting the line of sight of the left eye of a user viewing the display; a second detection means for detecting the line of sight of the right eye of a user viewing the display; and a control means for controlling either the first detection means or the second detection means to change from a first state to a second state which consumes less power than the first state, if predetermined conditions are met.
