Abstract

This system allows for the detection of degradation in electrolytic capacitors mounted on electronic circuit boards with minimal cost and effort. [Solution] The degradation detection device of the embodiment is a degradation detection device for detecting the degradation of an electrolytic capacitor mounted on an electronic circuit board, and comprises a degradation detection circuit having electrical resistance and an electrolytic capacitor for degradation detection having the same structure as the electrolytic capacitor, which is positioned to be more affected by heat from a heat source component mounted on the electronic circuit board than the electrolytic capacitor, a pulse power supply that generates a pulse voltage and inputs it to the degradation detection circuit, and a processing unit that detects the degradation of the electrolytic capacitor based on the output voltage from the degradation detection circuit.
