Abstract

This invention provides a method and computer for reducing the number of input operations required when assigning IP addresses to multiple communication devices. [Solution] A computer server detects markers from an input layout diagram showing multiple markers, assigns a separate IP address to each detected marker, and generates assignment information that shows the assigned IP address in correspondence with the location of the detected marker. Marker detection is performed by image processing of image data showing the input layout diagram, and the assignment information shows an output layout diagram that shows address information indicating the IP address at a position corresponding to the location of the corresponding marker in the input layout diagram, and the address information is a one-dimensional barcode or a two-dimensional code.
