Abstract

This invention provides a technology that can prevent the deterioration of the quality of electronic devices containing ceramic materials due to chemical reactions of polishing debris during sintering. [Solution] The method for manufacturing an electronic element includes the steps of preparing an unfired or low-temperature fired electronic element body made of ceramic material, barrel polishing the electronic element body, and firing the electronic element body after barrel polishing. The barrel polishing is performed using a medium made only of material that sublimes at a temperature below that of the firing step, and the firing step includes sintering the electronic element body and burning off the polishing debris generated during barrel polishing.
