Abstract

To provide a fuel injection valve device for an internal combustion engine that can be easily manufactured and can suppress fuel leakage from the injection port when the valve body is in the closed position. [Solution] The fuel injection valve device 11 of the internal combustion engine comprises a cylindrical body 12 having an injection port 18 through which fuel is injected, a valve seat 19 provided on the body 12 so as to surround the injection port 18, and a spherical valve body 22 disposed inside the body 12 and configured to move along the axis L of the body 12 between a closed position in which it contacts the valve seat 19 and closes the injection port 18, and an open position away from the valve seat 19 and opens the injection port 18. When the valve body 22 is in the closed position, the portion of the valve seat 19 that the valve body 22 contacts has a polygonal shape when viewed from the axial direction of the body 12.
