[Solution] The self-propelled chamfering machine 1 is a machine that travels along one side of the upper surface of a steel girder 2 in the direction in which the steel girder 2 extends, and chamfers the corner of the upper end face of this one side. The machine comprises a trolley 4 equipped with running wheels 3 that travel along the upper surface of the steel girder 2 and are positioned to move obliquely toward the other side; a cutter 5 positioned on one side of the trolley 4 that cuts and chamfers the corner of the upper end face of one side of the steel girder 2; a main roller 6 and a guide roller 7 that contact the end face of one side of the steel girder 2 and guide the trolley 4 to travel along that side; and a front auxiliary wheel 9 on the other side of the trolley 4 that supports the trolley 4 so that it can travel relative to the upper surface of the steel girder 2. The front auxiliary wheel 9 supports the trolley 4 at approximately the same front-to-back position as the running wheels 3 positioned at the very front of the self-propelled chamfering machine 1.
