Abstract
To provide a power control device that can accurately prevent interruptions in power supply from the second power source. [Solution] The inter-system switch connects the first system, which supplies power from the first power source to the first load, and the second system, which supplies power from the second power source to the second load. The battery switch connects the second power source to the second system. The controller maintains a normal state with the inter-system switch ON and the battery switch OFF under normal conditions. If a power failure is detected in the normal state, the controller turns the inter-system switch OFF, turns the battery switch ON, and then performs a main determination to determine which system has experienced an abnormality. If no abnormality is detected in this determination, the controller performs a recovery process to return to the normal state by turning the inter-system switch ON and the battery switch OFF. The throw-off circuit turns off the battery switch by a throw-off operation during the recovery process. The stop circuit turns on the battery switch regardless of the operation status of the throw-off circuit when a power failure is detected.
