Abstract

[Solution] A container supply device for transporting containers 200 to a downstream device includes an alignment assist unit 160 that transports the contained containers 200 while aligning them, and a supply mechanism 700 located downstream of the alignment assist unit 160 that discharges the transported containers 200 to the downstream device. The supply mechanism 700 takes in the transported containers 200 between a pair of upper and lower rotating bodies 701 and 702 and supplies them to the downstream device. It has an openable and closable overhang portion 703b on the circumferential surface of the upper rotating body 701 and a jam prevention mechanism 703 that prevents the containers 200 from getting caught in the rotating body 701 portion.
