If the connection information is in the ON state, a unit game can be started. The gaming control means transmits the connection information to the performance control means. When the power is turned on, the connection information is in the OFF state for a predetermined period of time corresponding to the external device. The performance control means waits for a predetermined period of time or longer until the connection information is in the ON state. If the connection information is still in the OFF state after the specified period has elapsed, it performs a connection abnormality notification process. The gaming control means transmits specific information containing the connection information to the performance control means. The timing for acquiring the connection information is longer than the timing for transmitting the specific information.
