Abstract

To simplify the process of checking for abnormalities such as broken strands in ropes, thereby reducing false detections and missed detections. [Solution] A rope inspection system for inspecting the ropes that raise and lower an elevator car, comprising: an imaging device capable of imaging the rope; a control device for raising and lowering the elevator car; and an inspection device for determining abnormalities in the rope based on images captured by the imaging device. The system further comprises: a control unit for raising and lowering the elevator car and sending imaging instructions to the imaging device during the movement; and a first communication unit for transmitting images captured by the imaging device to the inspection device. The inspection device includes: a storage unit for storing a determination model, which is a learned model that takes the captured images of the rope as input and outputs whether or not there is an abnormality and the abnormal state; a second communication unit for receiving the captured images from the control device; an abnormality determination unit for determining whether or not there is an abnormality in the rope and the abnormal state using the determination model from the received captured images; and a notification unit for notifying when an abnormality is determined to be present in the rope.
