The air passing through the suction port can suppress the sound generated. [Solution] A printing apparatus comprising a printing section, a suction platen that supports a workpiece to be printed by the printing section with a support surface having suction holes formed therein, and a negative pressure chamber having a space communicating with the suction holes, wherein the suction holes have an inclined surface that widens from the support surface side toward the negative pressure chamber side.
