Abstract

This invention provides a vehicle measurement system and program that eliminate the need for time synchronization and can instantly associate the measured weight of a vehicle with its vehicle number in real time. [Solution] The system comprises an axle load sensor 2, a front camera 3 that photographs a vehicle 10 passing over the axle load sensor 2 from the front, and a processing unit 5 that constantly receives load signals from the axle load sensor 2 and image data captured from the front camera 3. The processing unit 5 performs a weight calculation process to calculate the load of each axle and the total weight of the vehicle 10 based on the load signals from the axle load sensor 2, a front vehicle number recognition process that processes the image data captured from the front camera 3 to recognize the vehicle number written on the license plate attached to the front of the vehicle 10, and an association process that, each time the vehicle 10 passes over the axle load sensor 2, associates the vehicle number recognized by the front vehicle number recognition process from the point when the leading axle of the vehicle 10 reaches the axle load sensor 2 with the load of each axle and the total weight of the vehicle 10.
