Outrigger device

Abstract

The present invention provides an outrigger device to be installed on the column base that supports the tabletop of a workbench. [Solution] The workbench is constructed of a fixing device (6) attached to the column base, an auxiliary leg (7), and a support arm (8). The tail end of the auxiliary leg (7) is pivotally connected to one of the upper and lower parts of the fixing device (6), and the tail end of the support arm (8) is pivotally connected to the other, thereby allowing the auxiliary leg (7) and the support arm (8) to rotate freely between a retracted position (P1) where they stand upright and an extended position (P2) where they protrude diagonally downward. The tip of the support arm (8) is connected to the auxiliary leg (7) so as to be rotatable and movable in the longitudinal direction. A locking mechanism (15) is provided to prevent rotation and movement when at least the extended position (P2) is in place.
