Belt conveyor and meandering suppression mechanism

Abstract

The present invention provides a belt conveyor that can suppress the meandering of the conveyor belt even when the trough angle is relatively large. [Solution] This belt conveyor 100 comprises an annular conveyor belt 1 on which excavated spoil EM is placed, and a meandering suppression mechanism 40 that suppresses meandering of the conveyor belt 1. The conveyor belt 1 includes a bottom surface 1a and a pair of side surfaces 1b connected to the bottom surface 1a. The meandering suppression mechanism 40 includes a lower roller 41 that supports the bottom surface 1a, a pair of side rollers 42 that each support the pair of side surfaces 1b, and a pair of pressing rollers 43 that press down on the upper ends 1c of each of the pair of side surfaces 1b. The pressing rollers 43 and the side rollers 42 are configured to rotate in conjunction with each other around an axis Ay2 along a direction perpendicular to the side surfaces 1b.
