Abandonment prevention device and method

Abstract

The goal is to prevent passengers from being left behind inside the vehicle with a simple configuration, and to allow users to recall what is happening inside the vehicle at an appropriate time. [Solution] The abandoned vehicle prevention device is installed inside the vehicle compartment and comprises: a notification unit that sends a first notification to a terminal device owned by the user after a predetermined period has elapsed since the user got out of the vehicle; an acquisition unit that obtains user intent information in response to the first notification from the terminal device; and a determination unit that determines the user's intent based on the intent information.
