Abstract

The present invention provides a recording device that moves a paper output receiving unit, which receives the recording medium after paper output, by means of a drive. [Solution] A recording device is used that includes a recording unit for recording an image on a recording medium pulled out from a roll, an outlet for ejecting the recording medium on which the image has been recorded by the recording unit, a receiving member for receiving the recording medium ejected from the outlet, a moving mechanism for moving the receiving member to a first position where the receiving member receives the recording medium and a second position where the receiving member does not receive the recording medium, and a control unit for controlling the movement of the receiving member between the first and second positions by the moving mechanism.
