Method for producing (alkylsulfonyl)pyridine derivatives

Abstract

The objective is to provide a manufacturing process for producing (alkylsulfonyl)pyridine-N-substituted amidine derivatives or (alkylsulfonyl)pyridine-diazole heterocyclic derivatives that have pest control activity, specifically a process for directly producing the amidine derivative from the corresponding (alkylsulfonyl)pyridine precursor. [Solution] By reacting an (alkylsulfonyl)pyridine carbonitrile derivative with an aminepyridine derivative in the presence of a Lewis acid, the amidine derivative can be directly produced, which can then be converted into an N-substituted amidine derivative. Furthermore, by producing a diazole heterocyclic compound from this derivative, the compound having pest control activity can be produced in a short number of steps.
