Abstract

This invention provides a method for treating diseases of the muscles and soft tissues. [Solution] A method is provided for treating a disorder or condition of muscle or soft tissue in an individual, comprising the step of administering to the individual a therapeutically effective amount of a polypeptide comprising an insulin-like growth factor (IGF) receptor ligand amino acid sequence and a heterologous polypeptide amino acid sequence, wherein the heterologous polypeptide amino acid sequence increases the stability or biological function of the IGF receptor ligand amino acid sequence.
