[Solution] The sewing machine comprises a needle bar, a carriage, memory, and a processor. The memory stores sewing data for sewing a unit pattern consisting of a first polygon and a second polygon superimposed on a workpiece held in an embroidery hoop. The processor retrieves the sewing data from the memory (S3). Based on the sewing data, the processor executes a unit pattern sewing process to sew the unit pattern onto the workpiece (S24). The unit pattern sewing process is a process in which a first process (S26) for sewing the first polygon based on the first data is executed a predetermined number of times, and a second process (S28) for sewing the second polygon based on the second data is executed a predetermined number of times. The first polygon and the second polygon are inscribed in the same virtual ring.
