Abstract
To provide a payment device that allows customers to easily specify the format they require for receipt printing when making self-service payments. [Solution] In one embodiment, the payment device comprises a discrimination means, a first display means, a payment means, and a receipt processing means. The discrimination means determines whether the consumer is an electronic receipt member. After registering the purchased items, the first display means displays an operation screen for issuing a receipt corresponding to the payment of the purchased items, changing the selection of the receipt issuance format depending on whether the consumer is an electronic receipt member or not. The payment means makes the payment for the purchased items. The receipt processing means performs receipt processing for the payment according to the receipt issuance format selected via the operation screen.
