Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a plant cultivation cover, and more particularly to a technology of a cultivation cover that can be used even after the plant has grown.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, when growing seedlings of plants such as vegetables, in order to protect the plants, it has often been done to individually cover the seedlings with dome-shaped seedling cultivation covers. By using the seedling cultivation cover, the seedlings can be protected from wind, rain, and pests. In particular, it is convenient when carried out on a small scale, such as in a home garden. However, when the plant grows large, the plant cannot fit into the seedling cultivation cover, and the cover has to be removed, so the plant cannot be protected from wind, rain, and pests. Therefore, there has been a demand for a cover that can protect the grown plants and has a size and shape suitable for them.

[0003] Regarding such technologies, various proposals have been made conventionally. For example, a plant cultivation cover (see Patent Document 1) has been proposed and has become a known technology. More specifically, after piercing the excavation protrusions 3 formed on the cover body 2 of the plant cultivation cover 1 into the soil A, the plant cultivation cover 1 is horizontally rotated to excavate the soil A in a circular shape, and each retaining piece 4... on the lower end side is embedded so as to be submerged in the soil A. After expanding the insect-proof cover 9 and attaching it to the upper end side peripheral surface of the plant cultivation cover 1, it is described that the outer peripheral edge portion of the insect-proof cover 9 to which the rubber strings 9a are sewn to each locking piece 6... of the plant cultivation cover 1 is locked and attached. However, it has a shape suitable for seedlings and does not have a size and shape corresponding to the grown plants, and cannot solve the problems of the present invention.

FIG. 6 shows the structure of the rib in the plant-growing cover according to the present invention, (a) is a perspective view of a cylindrical portion having a rib, (b) is an explanatory view showing a state where the cylindrical portions having ribs are overlapped, and (c) is an explanatory view showing a state where the cylindrical portion having a rib is arranged in the soil.

[0017] The plant-growing cover 1 is partially embedded and fixed to the soil in which the plant is planted and has a shape that covers the plant in order to protect the plant from pests and the like. As shown in FIG. 1, the plant-growing cover 1 is composed of a cylindrical portion 10 and a covering portion 20. The cylindrical portion 10 covers the horizontal periphery of the plant. The shape is a tapered cylindrical body that expands upward as shown in FIG. 1(b). In the figure, it is cylindrical, but it may be square, pentagonal, hexagonal, octagonal or oval (elliptical) in plan view. The cylindrical portion 10 has a flange portion 14 that spreads outward at its upper part. The flange portion 14 may spread obliquely upward or horizontally. By providing the flange portion 14 at the upper part of the cylindrical portion 10, the strength of the upper part of the cylindrical portion 10 can be improved. By spreading obliquely upward, it becomes easier to sandwich the clip portion 30 and the like. By spreading horizontally, it becomes easier to fix the sheet portion 21 with a magnet or a surface fastener. At the lower part, a retaining portion 12 is provided. The retaining portion 12 is a structure that prevents the cylindrical portion 10 from coming out of the soil E. A protruding portion protruding inside or outside the cylinder may be provided at the lower end of the cylindrical portion 10 to serve as the retaining portion 12. Also, since the whole is in a tapered shape that opens upward and the lower part is narrower inward than the upper part, this part can also be used as the retaining portion 12. By making the retaining portion 12 a flange structure 13, it is possible to increase the strength of the cylindrical portion 10 in addition to preventing it from coming out. Furthermore, by making the anti-detachment part 12 a flange structure 13 on the inside of the cylinder, interference with adjacent plant growing covers 1 can be reduced when the plant growing cover 1 is installed. For the material of the cylindrical part 10, for example, a resin material can be used, which is suitable because it is lightweight and easy to form transparently. Furthermore, among resins, for example, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material is used because it has strength and is good. Being lightweight makes it easier to bury them around plants. Making them transparent makes it easy to check the plants inside and ensures that they receive sunlight. The size should be sufficient to cover the target plant. If used until harvest, the size should correspond to the plant's size at harvest. It is preferable to have multiple size settings available so that an appropriate size can be selected depending on the size of the target plant. For example, a plant growing cover 1 used for cabbage would be suitable if it had a diameter of about 40-50 cm and a height of about 50 cm, including the part buried in the soil. Furthermore, by making the taper angle of the cylindrical portion 10 greater than or equal to the draft angle of the mold, molding by the mold becomes easier, and it is also possible to stack the cylindrical portions 10 together, making transportation and storage convenient.

[0018] The covering portion 20 covers the flange portion 14 and the upper part of the cylindrical portion 10. The plant growing cover 1 covers and protects the plant P, but it is convenient if the top of the plant growing cover 1 can be opened when tending to the plant P. Therefore, the plant growing cover 1 consists of a cylindrical portion 10 with an open top and a covering portion 20 that covers the upper part of the cylindrical portion 10, and the covering portion 20 can be attached to and removed from the cylindrical portion 10. The covering portion 20 consists of a sheet portion 21, a clip portion 30, and a string-like portion 40. The sheet portion 21 forms a thin surface that covers the cylindrical portion 10. The sheet portion 21 is large enough to cover the top of the cylindrical portion 10. Depending on the plant being used, a breathable net structure or an opaque structure may be used as appropriate. If the plants need to be exposed to the outside air, use a material that is breathable and permeable to water. If it is necessary to maintain the temperature and humidity inside the plant growing cover 1, use a material that is not breathable. Furthermore, if the net structure is breathable, it is convenient because water can be supplied from the top of the plant growing cover 1 while the cover part 20 is still attached. Suitable materials for non-breathable covers include vinyl or other resins. Making them transparent allows sufficient sunlight to enter the plant growing cover, while making them black provides light blocking. By changing the amount and type of coloring, the light transmission performance can be adjusted to suit the characteristics of the plants. Furthermore, the sheet portion 21 can be made of a material with heat-retaining properties, thereby creating a greenhouse-like environment. Furthermore, it is also possible to use multiple sheet sections 21 stacked in several layers. In this case, it is possible to improve the functionality of the sheet section 21 by stacking multiple sheets of the same type, or to simultaneously exhibit the different functions of each sheet section 21 by stacking different types of sheet sections 21. The clip portion 30 is used to clamp the seat portion 21 and the flange portion 14. By using multiple clips, for example, three or four, the seat portion 21 can be fixed more securely. The clip portion 30 consists of a clamping portion 31 and a guide portion 32. The clamping portion 31 is the part that simultaneously clamps the sheet portion 21 and the flange portion 14, as shown in Figure 1(a). It is preferable to clamp using an elastic force such as a spring. The guide section 32 is the part that determines the position of the string-like section 40. It is bent in the shape of a "V" so that the string-like section 40 naturally comes to the center of the guide section 32. The string-like portion 40 secures the sheet portion 21 around the entire circumference of the side surface 11 of the cylindrical portion 10. It may be a string made of vinyl, cotton, or other material, or it may be a chain or wire. The string-like portion 40 allows the sheet portion 21 to be fixed around the entire circumference of the side surface 11 of the cylindrical portion 10, so that the sheet portion 21 and the cylindrical portion 10 can be tightly fitted together without any gaps.

[0019] The installation process for plant growth cover 1 will be explained in accordance with Figure 2. A circular hole H is dug in the soil E surrounding the plant P, such as a seedling, corresponding to the bottom of the cylindrical part 10. The amount of soil to dig is, for example, enough to bury about a quarter of the plant growing cover 1 (Figure 2(a)). Next, insert the cylindrical part 10 into the hole H. If you are using the plant growing cover 1 until the plant P grows, adjust the position of the cylindrical part 10 while considering the size after growth (Figure 2(b)). Once the position is determined, backfill with soil. Since the covering part 20 of the plant growing cover 1 has been removed, soil can also be backfilled from the inside of the cylindrical part 10, and the soil can be leveled evenly both inside and outside the plant growing cover 1 (Figure 2(c)). After the cylindrical portion 10 is fixed in place, the cover portion 20 is placed on top of the cylindrical portion 10 to complete the assembly (Figure 2(d)). If the sheet portion is mesh-like, water can be supplied to the plant P in this state. Furthermore, if pests get inside, they can be easily exterminated by removing the cover 20. The sheet portion 21 is attached and detached using a clip portion 30, making it easy to remove the sheet portion 21 and then cover and fix it again, which is useful for spreading fertilizer 80, etc. At this time, by removing all but one or two of the multiple clip portions 30, it is also possible to roll up the sheet portion 21 while keeping a portion of it fixed to the cylindrical portion 10 (Figure 2(e)).

[0020] The process of attaching the cover portion 20 to the cylindrical portion 10 will be explained with reference to Figure 3. This process involves burying a portion of the cylindrical part 10 and fixing it to the soil E, and then attaching the cover part 20 to the top of the cylindrical part 10. First, position the sheet portion 21 above the cylindrical portion 10. Ensure that the center of the sheet portion 21 roughly aligns with the center of the cylindrical portion 10 (Figure 3(a)). The sheet portion is positioned so as to follow the flange portion 14 of the cylindrical portion 10. Multiple clip portions 30 are prepared. Each clip portion 30 is formed by bending a single spring wire to create a clamping portion 31 and a guide portion 32 (Figure 3(b)). Next, the flange portion 14 of the cylindrical portion 10 and the seat portion 21 are simultaneously clamped by the clamping portion 31 of the clip portion 30 to fix the seat portion 21 to the cylindrical portion 10. At this time, the guide portion 32 of the clip portion 30 is positioned on the lower side. For example, by using three to four clip portions 30, the seat portion 21 can be stably fixed to the cylindrical portion 10 (Figure 3(c)). At this time, because the flange portion 14 is open diagonally upward, the clip portion 30 can be inserted from diagonally upward, making the work easy. Next, the string-like portion 40 is tied to the side surface 11 of the cylindrical portion 10, along the bent portion of the guide portion 32 of the clip portion 30, to secure the sheet portion 21 (Figure 3(d)). The string-like portion 40 is positioned according to the guide portion of the clip portion 30, so it will not shift. The string-like portion 40 causes the sheet portion 21 to adhere tightly to the side surface 11 of the cylindrical portion 10, thus eliminating any gap between the side surface 11 and the sheet portion 21.

[0021] Furthermore, the shape of the clip portion 30 is not limited to that using spring wire, as shown in Figures 3(b) to (d). Also, the material of the clip portion 30 may be metal or resin. For example, it could be based on a spring plate clip, as shown in Figure 3(e). It consists of a triangular spring plate section and two handle sections 33 for opening and closing the spring plate section, with one of the handle sections 33 bent into a V-shape to form a guide section 32. Figure 3(f) shows the flange portion 14 and the seat portion 21 fixed using a spring plate-type clip portion 30. This can produce the same effect as using a spring wire. Thus, since the cover portion 20 consists of a sheet portion 21, a clip portion 30, and a string-like portion 40, the cover portion 20 can be easily and quickly attached to and detached from the cylindrical portion 10.

[0022] The growth of plants and the shape of the plant growing cover 1 will be explained in accordance with Figure 4. (a) and (b) are examples of conventional covers, while (c) and (d) are examples of the plant growing cover 1 according to the present invention. (a) and (c) represent the case where plant P is in the seedling stage, while (b) and (d) represent the case where plant P has grown and is ready for harvest. When plant P is in the seedling stage, there is no significant difference, as shown in (a) and (c), whether the cover has a downward tapered shape like a conventional cover or an upward tapered shape like plant cultivation cover 1. However, as the plant P grows and reaches harvest time, if it is a leafy vegetable, it will take on a circular or upward-spreading shape. In this case, with conventional covers that are tapered downwards, as shown in (b), the upper leaves of the plant P will come into contact with the cover, preventing it from growing properly. In contrast, the plant growing cover 1 according to the present invention is tapered upwards, so as shown in (d), the upper leaves of the plant P will not come into contact with the cover, and the growth of the plant P will not be restricted. It is effective as a cover for protecting the plant P until harvest and can exhibit excellent effects. Furthermore, in the case of covers used until harvest, their large size can pose problems in relation to adjacent plants. If the anti-slip portion protrudes outward, as in the conventional cover 70, it may interfere with the side of an adjacent cover (Figure 4(b)). In contrast, as shown in Figure 4(d), if the anti-detachment part 12 is positioned inside the cylinder, it is preferable because the anti-detachment part 12 does not come into contact with the side surface of the adjacent cover.

[0023] Another embodiment of fixing the sheet portion 21 to the flange fixing portion 50 will be described with reference to Figure 5. As explained above, when the seat portion 21 is fixed to the flange portion 14 using the clip portion 30, etc., the seat portion 21 may also be fixed using the flange fixing portion 50. The flange fixing portion 50 consists of a hook-and-loop fastener portion 51 or a magnet portion 54 for fixing the sheet portion 21 to the flange portion 14. The hook-and-loop fastener section 51 consists of a hook-side fastener 52 and a mohair-side fastener 53 that sandwich the sheet section 21. The magnetic section 54 consists of a magnet 55 sandwiching the sheet section 21 and the flange section 14, or a magnetic material 56 and a magnet 55. The case using the hook-and-loop fastener portion 51 will be explained with reference to Figure 5(a). The hook-and-loop fastener hook portion 52 is attached to the upper surface of the flange portion 14. Next, the sheet portion 21 is placed over the cylindrical portion 10 from above, so as to cover the hook-and-loop fastener portion 52 as well. The sheet portion 21 is made of netting, and the hooks of the hook fastener portion 52 are made to protrude from the gaps in the netting of the sheet portion 21. Next, the hook-and-loop fastener mohair portion 53 is pressed against the hook-and-loop fastener hook portion 52, so that the hook of the hook-and-loop fastener hook portion 52 and the mohair of the hook-and-loop fastener mohair portion 53 intertwine, thereby fixing the space between the hook-and-loop fastener mohair portion 53 and the hook-and-loop fastener hook portion 52. Naturally, the sheet portion 21 sandwiched between the hook-and-loop fastener mohair portion 53 and the hook-and-loop fastener hook portion 52 is also fixed. By arranging the hook-and-loop fastener portion 51 around the entire circumference of the flange portion 14, the gap between the flange structure 13 and the seat portion 21 can be eliminated.

[0024] The case in which the magnet portion 54 is used will be explained with reference to Figure 5(b). The magnetic material 56 is attached to the lower surface of the flange portion 14. Next, the sheet portion 21 is placed over the cylindrical portion 10 from above so as to cover the magnetic material portion 56. Next, when the magnet 55 is placed on top of the magnetic material 56, the magnet 55 and the magnetic material 56 are fixed together by the attractive force between them. Naturally, the sheet portion 21 sandwiched between the magnet 55 and the magnetic material 56 is also fixed in place. By arranging the magnetic material 56 around the entire circumference of the flange portion 14, the gap between the flange structure 13 and the seat portion 21 can be eliminated. Alternatively, a magnet corresponding to the magnet 55 may be used instead of the magnetic material 56. Using a magnet allows the sheet portion 21 to be fixed with greater force.

[0025] The case in which ribs 60 are provided around the cylindrical portion 10 will be explained with reference to Figure 6. By providing multiple ribs 60 that extend in the axial direction (up and down) to the cylindrical portion 10, the strength of the cylindrical portion 10 can be improved. The rib 60 has a cross-sectional shape that bulges out from the cylindrical portion 10. For example, the cross-section is semicircular, and the overall shape is semi-cylindrical. It may protrude outward from the cylindrical portion 10 or inward. The upper end of the rib 60 is open while maintaining its semi-cylindrical shape, and the lower end 61 of the rib 60 is closed. The shape of the lower end portion 61 is, for example, a quarter-spherical shape. By giving the upper and lower ends of rib 60 this shape, upward die-cutting can be performed smoothly. Furthermore, because the ribs 60 extend in the axial direction (up and down) and have an open upper end, the cylindrical sections 10 can be easily stacked together, as shown in Figure 6(b), making storage convenient. Furthermore, because the lower end portion 61 of the rib 60 is closed as shown in Figure 6(c), the soil at the lower end portion 61 acts as resistance, making it difficult for the cylindrical portion 10 to slip out. Therefore, the lower end portion 61 has a retaining effect and can be used as a part to prevent detachment.

[0026] Thus, the plant cultivation cover according to the present invention is designed to protect even mature plants, allowing the cover to be used throughout the entire plant cultivation process, from cultivation to harvesting of vegetables and other plants, thus ensuring constant protection of the plants.

[0027] Furthermore, the removable top cover makes it convenient for plant care and pest control.

[0028] Furthermore, since the sheet portion is secured with a clip, this securing process is easy, improving work efficiency.

[0029] Furthermore, the clip is equipped with a guide section that guides the string-like portion, making it easier to secure the sheet portion to the cylindrical portion using the string-like portion.

[0030] Furthermore, since the end of the cylindrical section has a flange shape, the strength of the cylindrical section can be increased.

[0031] Furthermore, because the cylindrical section has an upward-tapering shape, it can be said that it does not restrict plant growth.

[0032] Furthermore, by adding ribs around the cylindrical section, the strength of the cylindrical section can be improved.

[0033] Furthermore, using hook-and-loop fasteners or magnets to secure the sheets makes the securing process easier and improves work efficiency. [Industrial applicability]

[0034] The plant cultivation cover according to the present invention is a protective cover that can be used throughout the entire process of plant cultivation. It can be used continuously without replacement from the sowing and germination period to the harvesting period of vegetables, etc. Furthermore, by appropriately using different sheets, it is possible to adjust ventilation and light control. Therefore, we believe that the "plant cultivation cover" according to the present invention has great potential for industrial use throughout the seasons. [Explanation of Symbols]
