Seaweed foreign matter separation and removal device

Abstract

To provide a seaweed foreign matter separation and removal device that can efficiently separate foreign matter from a seaweed mixture. [Solution] The seaweed foreign matter separation and removal device comprises a container including fixed bodies 31A, 31B and a rotating body 32A, a storage section for storing a seaweed mixture outside the container, and a suction section for sucking the mixture stored in the storage section towards the inside of the container. The rotating body 32A is rotatable relative to the fixed bodies 31A, 31B about an axis that extends vertically through the center of its rotating annular portion. The surfaces of the rotating annular portion 71C of the rotating body 32A that face the fixed bodies 31A, 31B, and the surfaces of the respective fixed annular portions 41 of the fixed bodies 31A, 31B that face the rotating body 32A are planar. The seaweed foreign matter separation and removal device sucks the mixture towards the inside of the container. As a result, the seaweed and seawater enter the inside of the container through the gap between the fixed bodies and the rotating body, separating the foreign matter.
