Summary of the Invention
Problem to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] When the harness clip of Patent Document 1 described above is attached to a wire harness, it is necessary to lock the pair of band portions to the corresponding band fixing portions respectively, which makes the operation somewhat complicated. In addition, costs related to the pair of band portions are also required. That is, the harness clip of Patent Document 1 has room for improvement in terms of cost and work ease.
[0005] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a harness clip that is low in cost and easy to attach. Means for Solving the Problem and Effect
[0006] The problem to be solved by the present invention is as described above. Next, means for solving the problem and the effects thereof will be described.
[0007] According to a first aspect of the present invention, a harness clip having the following configuration is provided. That is, the harness clip is for attaching a wire harness to an object. The harness clip comprises a main body and a cover. The main body is attached to the wire harness with a fastening member. The cover is connected to the main body via a hinge and can be opened and closed by rotating around the hinge axis. The main body can be attached to the wire harness with the fastening member when the cover is open. When the cover is closed with the main body attached to the wire harness, a part of the fastening member is positioned between the main body and the cover. The cover has an anchor that engages with the object.
[0008] This design allows the fastening member to be easily wrapped around the wire harness from the outside by leaving the cover open when attaching the main body to the wire harness. Then, by rotating the cover around the hinge axis to close it, the harness clip can be attached to the wire harness. Before or after this attachment, the anchor of the cover is engaged with the object, thereby attaching the wire harness to the object via the harness clip. This entire attachment process is simple because it requires only one fastening member. Furthermore, since only one fastening member is needed, it is also low-cost. Additionally, because the main body and cover are integrated, handling the harness clip is easier compared to when they are separate components.
[0009] In the harness clip described above, it is preferable that at least a portion of the anchor is aligned with the portion of the fastening member in the direction opposite to the cover portion and the main body portion when the cover portion is closed.
[0010] As a result, with the cover closed, a portion of the fastening member is positioned near the anchor. Therefore, even if the force acting on the wire harness is transmitted to the harness clip via the fastening member, the force can be evenly distributed at the engagement point between the object and the anchor.
[0011] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the main body has a first surface, a second surface, and a pair of protruding wall portions. The first surface faces the wire harness when the main body is attached to the wire harness. The second surface is the surface opposite to the first surface. The pair of protruding wall portions protrude from the second surface and face each other. The part of the fastening member is positioned between the pair of protruding wall portions when the main body is attached to the wire harness.
[0012] As a result, with the main body attached to the wire harness, the movement of the fastening member is restricted in the opposing direction of the pair of protruding walls. This restricts the relative movement between the harness clip and the wire harness in that opposing direction.
[0013] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the cover portion has a pair of protruding ribs that face each other in a direction intersecting the opposing direction of the pair of protruding wall portions. A portion of the fastening member is positioned between the pair of protruding ribs when the cover portion is closed.
[0014] As a result, with the cover closed, the movement of the fastening member is restricted in the opposing direction of the pair of protruding ribs. This restricts the relative movement between the harness clip and the wire harness in that opposing direction.
[0015] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the cover portion has a first engaging portion provided on the opposite side of the hinge, sandwiching the anchor. The main body portion has a second engaging portion that engages with the first engaging portion when the cover portion is closed.
[0016] This allows the cover to be kept closed by the engagement between the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion.
[0017] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the cover portion has a third engaging portion provided on the hinge side of the anchor. The main body portion has a fourth engaging portion that engages with the third engaging portion when the cover portion is closed.
[0018] This allows the cover to be held more securely in the closed position through engagement between the third and fourth engaging parts. Furthermore, it reduces the load on the hinge when the cover is closed. Additionally, even if the hinge breaks, the cover can still be kept closed.
[0019] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the engagement between the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion, and the engagement between the third engagement portion and the fourth engagement portion are both snap-fit engagements. The orientation of the hook portion of the engagement claw of one of the snap-fit engagements is opposite to the orientation of the hook portion of the engagement claw of the other snap-fit engagement.
[0020] This ensures that even if the hinge breaks, the snap-fit engagements on both sides prevent the cover from detaching from the main body, even if the cover and main body attempt to move relative to each other.
[0021] In the harness clip described above, the following configuration is preferable. That is, the main body or the cover portion has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is located on one side of the hinge shaft in the direction in which the hinge axis extends relative to the hinge when the cover portion is closed. The second portion is located on the other side of the hinge shaft in the direction in which the hinge axis extends relative to the hinge when the cover portion is closed.
[0022] This allows the hinge to be protected from external impacts by the first and second parts.
[0023] In the above harness clip, the following configuration is preferable. Specifically, the cover portion has a first temporary fastening portion provided on the hinge side relative to the anchor. The main body portion has a second temporary fastening portion provided at a position that comes into contact with the first temporary fastening portion while the cover portion transitions from a fully open state to a fully closed state. The first temporary fastening portion and the second temporary fastening portion, in a state of being in contact with each other, temporarily fasten the cover portion in a state between the fully open state and the fully closed state.
[0024] Accordingly, when attaching the harness clip to a wire harness, temporarily fastening the cover portion can suppress interference of the anchor with the wire harness and obstruction of the wrapping of the binding member by the cover portion.
[0025] In the above harness clip, it is preferable that a pair of the first temporary fastening portions or the second temporary fastening portions are provided so as to be located on both sides of the hinge in the direction in which the hinge shaft extends, when the cover portion is in the closed state.
[0026] Accordingly, the pair of first temporary fastening portions or the pair of second temporary fastening portions can protect the hinge from external impact.
[0027] In the above harness clip, the following configuration is preferable. Specifically, the cover portion has a third surface on which the anchor is disposed. The third surface includes a flat portion located outside the anchor when viewed from the normal direction thereof.
[0028] Accordingly, by pressing the flat portion of the third surface, the cover portion can be rotated around the hinge shaft and closed without touching the anchor.
[0029] A second aspect of the present invention provides a method for attaching a harness clip as follows: This method for attaching a harness clip is a method for attaching a harness clip to a wire harness, the harness clip comprising a main body and a cover. The cover is connected to the main body via a hinge and can be opened and closed by rotating around the hinge axis. The cover has an anchor that engages with an object. The method for attaching the harness clip comprises a first step and a second step. In the first step, the main body is attached to the wire harness with a fastening member while the cover is open. In the second step, after the first step, the cover is closed, thereby positioning a part of the fastening member between the main body and the cover.
[0030] This allows the fastening member to be easily wrapped around the wire harness from the outside in the first step by keeping the cover open. Then, in the second step, the harness clip can be attached to the wire harness by rotating the cover around the hinge axis to close it. Before or after this attachment, the wire harness is attached to the object via the harness clip by engaging the anchor of the cover with the object. This series of attachment operations is easy because it requires only one fastening member. It is also low-cost because only one fastening member is needed. Furthermore, since the main body and cover are integrated, the harness clip is easier to handle compared to when they are separate. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0032] Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the configuration of the harness clip 10 according to this embodiment. Figure 2 is another perspective view showing the configuration of the harness clip 10 according to this embodiment. Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the main body 11 of the harness clip 10 attached to the wire harness 101 by the fastening member 102, with a part of it shown in enlargement. Figure 4 is a perspective view showing the completed attachment of the harness clip 10 to the wire harness 101 by closing the cover portion 19. Figure 5 is another perspective view showing the completed attachment of the harness clip 10 to the wire harness 101 by closing the cover portion 19.
[0033] The harness clip 10 shown in Figures 1 to 5 is a component for attaching a wire harness 101 to an object not shown (for example, the body of an automobile). The harness clip 10 of this embodiment can be attached to the wire harness 101 by a single fastening member 102 (for example, a cable tie or tape). The harness clip 10 is made of, for example, synthetic resin. The harness clip 10 comprises a main body portion 11 and a cover portion 19. The main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19 are integrally connected via a hinge 29.
[0034] The main body portion 11 is the part that is attached to the wire harness 101 with the fastening member 102. The main body portion 11 can be attached to the wire harness 101 using the fastening member 102 when the cover portion 19 is open (for example, as shown in Figure 3). The main body portion 11 is formed as a roughly rectangular plate shape overall. Figure 1 shows the longitudinal direction D1 and the width direction D2 of the main body portion 11. In the center of the longitudinal direction D1 of the main body portion 11, there is a narrow portion 12 that is narrower than the portions on either side. This narrow portion 12 is the part to which the fastening member 102 is wrapped.
[0035] The main body portion 11 has a first surface 13 and a second surface 14. The first surface 13 is the surface that faces the wire harness 101 when it is attached to the wire harness 101 (as shown in Figures 3 to 5). The second surface 14 is the surface opposite to the first surface 13. A pair of protruding wall portions 15 protrude from the second surface 14, facing each other with the narrow portion 12 in between. In this embodiment, the direction in which the pair of protruding wall portions 15 face each other coincides with the longitudinal direction D1. In the width direction D2 of the main body portion 11, the dimensions of each protruding wall portion 15 are greater than the dimensions of the narrow portion 12. In the width direction D2 of the main body portion 11, each protruding wall portion 15 extends outward beyond both ends of the narrow portion 12.
[0036] The main body portion 11 has a first engagement wall portion 16 that engages with the first engagement claw 26 (described later) when the cover portion 19 is closed (as shown in Figures 4 and 5). The first engagement wall portion 16 protrudes from the second surface 14 at the end of the main body portion 11 furthest from the hinge 29. A first engagement hole 16a is formed in the first engagement wall portion 16, and the first engagement claw 26 can engage with its inner wall surface. The first engagement wall portion 16 is an example of a second engagement portion.
[0037] The main body portion 11 has a second engagement wall portion 17 that engages with the second engagement claw 27 (described later) when the cover portion 19 is closed. The second engagement wall portion 17 protrudes from the second surface 14 of the main body portion 11 near the hinge 29. A second engagement hole 17a is formed in the second engagement wall portion 17, and the second engagement claw 27 can engage with its inner wall surface. The second engagement wall portion 17 is an example of a fourth engagement portion.
[0038] The cover portion 19 is connected to the main body portion 11 via a hinge 29. The hinge 29 is short and thin and can be deformed. By deforming the hinge 29, the cover portion 19 can be opened and closed by rotating around the hinge axis HA. The cover portion 19 as a whole is formed in a hollow, approximately rectangular parallelepiped shape. When viewed along the protruding direction of the anchor 23, which will be described later, the cover portion 19 is approximately rectangular. In the state where the cover portion 19 is opened 180° relative to the main body portion 11, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the longitudinal and width directions of the cover portion 19 coincide with the longitudinal direction D1 and width direction D2 of the main body portion 11. This is also true when the cover portion 19 is closed relative to the main body portion 11, as shown in Figure 4. The cover portion 19 has a shape that is open to one side. When the cover portion 19 is closed, the main body portion 11 is located on the open side of the cover portion 19.
[0039] The cover portion 19 has a third surface 21 and a fourth surface 25. The third surface 21 is the surface facing away from the main body portion 11 when the cover portion 19 is closed. The fourth surface 25 is the surface opposite to the third surface 21. An anchor 23 that engages with an object is positioned on the third surface 21. The anchor 23 is integrally formed with the cover portion 19. The harness clip 10 is attached to the object by the anchor 23 engaging with a hole or the like formed in the object. The anchor 23 is positioned approximately in the center of the longitudinal direction of the cover portion 19.
[0040] The third surface 21 includes a flat portion 22 located outside the anchor 23 when viewed from its normal direction. In other words, the flat portion 22 refers to the entire region of the third surface 21 that does not overlap with the anchor 23 when viewed from the normal direction of the third surface 21. Therefore, the flat portion 22 includes at least a first flat portion 22A located on the opposite side of the hinge 29 from the anchor 23, and a second flat portion 22B located closer to the hinge 29 than the anchor 23.
[0041] The cover portion 19 has a pair of protruding ribs 24 that face each other in a direction that intersects (in this example, perpendicular to) the opposing direction of the pair of protruding wall portions 15. The direction of protrusion of the protruding ribs 24 is opposite to the direction of protrusion of the anchor 23. In this embodiment, the direction in which the pair of protruding ribs 24 face each other coincides with the width direction D2. Each protruding rib 24 is located at both ends of the width direction D2 of the cover portion 19. Also, each protruding rib 24 is located approximately in the center of the longitudinal direction D1 of the cover portion 19. Specifically, a pair of side walls are formed so as to protrude from both ends of the width direction D2 of the fourth surface 25, and the protruding ribs 24 are integrally formed with each side wall. When the cover portion 19 is closed, the pair of protruding ribs 24 face each other in the width direction D2 of the harness clip 10, sandwiching the narrow portion 12 of the main body portion 11.
[0042] When the cover portion 19 is closed, the fastening member 102 can be positioned to pass through the gap between one protruding rib 24 and the narrow portion 12, the space between the fourth surface 25 of the cover portion 19 and the narrow portion 12, and the gap between the other protruding rib 24 and the narrow portion 12. At this time, a part of the fastening member 102 (hereinafter also referred to as the non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned between the main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19, as shown in Figure 4. Also, in the same state, at least a part of the anchor 23 (in this example, the central part of the anchor 23) is aligned with the non-exposed portion 102a in the opposing direction D3 between the cover portion 19 and the main body portion 11.
[0043] The non-exposed portion 102a of the fastening member 102 is positioned between the pair of protruding wall portions 15 when the main body portion 11 is attached to the wire harness 101 (as shown in Figures 3 to 5). Furthermore, the non-exposed portion 102a is positioned between the pair of protruding ribs 24 when the cover portion 19 is closed (as shown in Figures 4 and 5). As a result, when the harness clip 10 is attached to the wire harness 101, the movement of the fastening member 102 is restricted, and consequently, the relative movement between the harness clip 10 and the wire harness 101 can be restricted. This reduces rattling between the harness clip 10 and the wire harness 101.
[0044] The cover portion 19 has a first engaging claw 26 provided on the opposite side of the hinge 29, with the anchor 23 in between. The first engaging claw 26 is positioned at the end of the cover portion 19 furthest from the hinge 29. The first engaging claw 26 is formed to protrude almost vertically from the fourth surface 25. A hook portion is formed at the tip of the first engaging claw 26, protruding toward the hinge 29. The first engaging claw 26 engages with the first engaging wall portion 16 simultaneously with the closing of the cover portion 19. At this time, the hook portion overcomes the first engaging wall portion 16 due to appropriate elastic deformation of the first engaging claw 26, and then the hook portion enters the first engaging hole 16a toward the hinge 29. The first engaging claw 26 is an example of the first engaging portion.
[0045] The cover portion 19 has a second engaging claw 27 provided on the side closer to the hinge 29 than the anchor 23. The second engaging claw 27 is positioned in the vicinity of the hinge 29 within the cover portion 19. The second engaging claw 27 is formed to protrude almost vertically from the fourth surface 25. A hook portion is formed at the tip of the second engaging claw 27, protruding toward the hinge 29. The second engaging claw 27 engages with the second engaging wall portion 17 at the same time that the cover portion 19 is closed. At this time, the hook portion overcomes the second engaging wall portion 17 by appropriately elastically deforming the second engaging claw 27, and then the hook portion enters the second engaging hole 17a toward the hinge 29. The second engaging claw 27 is an example of a third engaging portion.
[0046] Thus, the engagement between the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall 16, and the engagement between the second engaging claw 27 and the second engaging wall 17, are both snap-fit engagements. Furthermore, in the process of the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall 16 snap-fit engaging, the hooking portion of the first engaging claw 26 moves over the first engaging wall 16 and enters the first engaging hole 16a in a direction toward the hinge 29. In other words, because the hooking portion of the first engaging claw 26 protrudes toward the hinge 29, it is easy to position the base of the first engaging claw 26 away from the hinge 29. This makes it possible to widen the first flat portion 22A without increasing the overall size in a layout in which the base of the first engaging claw 26 is positioned at a location corresponding to the end of the first flat portion 22A.
[0047] The cover portion 19 has a first temporary fastening portion 28 provided on the hinge 29 side of the anchor 23. One first temporary fastening portion 28 is provided at each end of the cover portion 19 in the width direction, at the hinge 29 side of the cover portion 19. Each first temporary fastening portion 28 has a planar first temporary fastening surface 28a perpendicular to the fourth surface 25.
[0048] The main body portion 11 has a second temporary fastening portion 18 that is positioned to contact the first temporary fastening portion 28 when the cover portion 19 transitions from a fully open state (as shown in Figures 1 and 2) to a fully closed state (as shown in Figures 4 and 5). One second temporary fastening portion 18 is provided at each end of the main body portion 11 in the width direction, near the hinge 29. Each second temporary fastening portion 18 has a planar second temporary fastening surface 18a parallel to the second surface 14.
[0049] One of the second temporary fastening parts 18 is located on one side of the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover part 19 is closed. The other second temporary fastening part 18 is located on the other side of the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover part 19 is closed. In other words, a pair of second temporary fastening parts 18 are provided so as to be located on both sides of the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover part 19 is closed. One of the second temporary fastening parts 18 is an example of the first part. The other second temporary fastening part 18 is an example of the second part.
[0050] As the cover portion 19 transitions from a fully open state to a fully closed state, the first temporary fastening portion 28 moves in an arc-shaped trajectory relative to the main body portion 11. Along the way, as shown in Figure 3, the first temporary fastening surface 28a of the first temporary fastening portion 28 faces the second temporary fastening surface 18a of the second temporary fastening portion 18, and the two surfaces come into contact. Since the two planar temporary fastening surfaces are in contact, resistance is generated to any change in the angle of the cover portion 19 from this state. This achieves temporary fastening. However, since both the first temporary fastening surface 28a and the second temporary fastening surface 18a are small, the holding force that restricts the rotation of the cover portion 19 is small. By pressing firmly on, for example, the flat portion 22 of the cover portion 19 with a finger, the first temporary fastening surface 28a can move over the second temporary fastening surface 18a, and the temporary fastening can be released.
[0051] In the example shown in Figure 3, the cover portion 19 is temporarily fastened with the main body portion 11 substantially open at 90°. However, by changing the shapes of the first temporary fastening portion 28 and the second temporary fastening portion 18, temporary fastening can be achieved in any position (for example, open at 120°).
[0052] Next, with reference to Figures 3 to 5, a method for attaching a wire harness according to this embodiment will be described. The method for attaching a wire harness is a method for attaching a harness clip 10 according to this embodiment to a wire harness 101, and comprises a first step, a second step, and a third step.
[0053] In the first step, as shown in Figure 3, the main body 11 is attached to the wire harness 101 with the fastening member 102 while the cover 19 is open (in this example, it is temporarily fixed in a state between fully open and fully closed).
[0054] In the second step, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, after the first step, the cover portion 19 is closed, thereby positioning a part of the fastening member 102 (non-exposed portion 102a) between the main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19. At this time, the first engaging claw 26 engages with the first engaging wall portion 16, and the second engaging claw 27 engages with the second engaging wall portion 17. This completes the attachment of the harness clip 10 to the wire harness 101.
[0055] In the third step, the anchor 23 is engaged with the object. This attaches the wire harness 101 to the object via the harness clip 10 of this embodiment. The third step may, but is not limited to, being performed after the second step.
[0056] As described above, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment is a harness clip 10 for attaching a wire harness 101 to an object. The harness clip 10 comprises a main body portion 11 and a cover portion 19. The main body portion 11 is attached to the wire harness 101 with a fastening member 102. The cover portion 19 is connected to the main body portion 11 via a hinge 29 and can be opened and closed by rotating around the hinge axis HA. The main body portion 11 can be attached to the wire harness 101 with the fastening member 102 when the cover portion 19 is open. When the cover portion 19 is closed with the main body portion 11 attached to the wire harness 101, a part of the fastening member 102 (non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned between the main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19. The cover portion 19 has an anchor 23 that engages with the object.
[0057] This allows the fastening member 102 to be easily wrapped around the wire harness 101 from the outside by keeping the cover 19 open when attaching the main body 11 to the wire harness 101. Then, by rotating the cover 19 around the hinge axis HA to close it, the attachment of the harness clip 10 to the wire harness 101 can be completed. Before or after this attachment, the anchor 23 of the cover 19 is engaged with the object, thereby attaching the wire harness 101 to the object via the harness clip 10. This series of attachment operations is easy because it requires only one fastening member 102. It is also low-cost because only one fastening member 102 is needed. Furthermore, since the main body 11 and the cover 19 are integrated, the harness clip 10 is easier to handle compared to when they are separate parts.
[0058] Furthermore, in this embodiment, at least a portion of the anchor 23 of the harness clip 10 is aligned with a portion of the fastening member 102 (non-exposed portion 102a) in the opposing direction D3 between the cover portion 19 and the main body portion 11, as shown in Figure 4 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0059] As a result, with the cover portion 19 closed, a part of the fastening member 102 (the non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned near the anchor 23. Therefore, even if the force acting on the wire harness 101 is transmitted to the harness clip 10 via the fastening member 102, the force can be received in a balanced manner at the engagement portion between the object and the anchor 23.
[0060] Furthermore, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment has a main body 11 that has a first surface 13, a second surface 14, and a pair of protruding wall portions 15. The first surface 13 faces the wire harness 101 when the main body 11 is attached to the wire harness 101. The second surface 14 is the surface opposite to the first surface 13. The pair of protruding wall portions 15 protrude from the second surface 14 and face each other. A part of the fastening member 102 (non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned between the pair of protruding wall portions 15 when the main body 11 is attached to the wire harness 101.
[0061] As a result, with the main body 11 attached to the wire harness 101, the movement of the fastening member 102 is restricted in the opposing direction of the pair of protruding wall portions 15. This restricts the relative movement between the harness clip 10 and the wire harness 101 in that opposing direction.
[0062] Furthermore, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment has a cover portion 19 that has a pair of protruding ribs 24 that face each other in a direction intersecting the opposing direction of the pair of protruding wall portions 15. A part of the fastening member 102 (the non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned between the pair of protruding ribs 24 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0063] As a result, with the cover portion 19 closed, the movement of the fastening member 102 is restricted in the opposing direction of the pair of protruding ribs 24. This restricts the relative movement between the harness clip 10 and the wire harness 101 in that opposing direction.
[0064] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the harness clip 10 has a cover portion 19 that has a first engaging claw 26 provided on the opposite side of the hinge 29, sandwiching the anchor 23. The main body portion 11 has a first engaging wall portion 16 that engages with the first engaging claw 26 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0065] As a result, the engagement between the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall 16 allows the cover portion 19 to be kept in a closed state.
[0066] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the harness clip 10 has a cover portion 19 that has a second engaging claw 27 provided on the hinge 29 side of the anchor 23. The main body portion 11 has a second engaging wall portion 17 that engages with the second engaging claw 27 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0067] As a result, the engagement between the second engaging claw 27 and the second engaging wall 17 allows the cover portion 19 to be held in the closed position more securely. Furthermore, the load on the hinge 29 can be reduced when the cover portion 19 is closed. Moreover, even if the hinge 29 is damaged, the cover portion 19 can be maintained in the closed position.
[0068] Furthermore, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment has a main body 11 that includes a pair of second temporary fastening portions 18. One of the second temporary fastening portions 18 is located on one side of the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover portion 19 is closed. The other second temporary fastening portion 18 is located on the other side of the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0069] This allows the hinge 29 to be protected from external impacts by the pair of second temporary fastening parts 18.
[0070] Furthermore, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment has a cover portion 19 that has a first temporary fastening portion 28 provided on the hinge 29 side of the anchor 23. The main body portion 11 has a second temporary fastening portion 18 provided at a position that contacts the first temporary fastening portion 28 as the cover portion 19 transitions from a fully open state to a fully closed state. The first temporary fastening portion 28 and the second temporary fastening portion 18 are in contact with each other and temporarily fasten the cover portion 19 in a state between the fully open state and the fully closed state.
[0071] This makes it possible to temporarily fasten the cover portion 19 when attaching the harness clip 10 to the wire harness 101, thereby preventing the anchor 23 from interfering with the wire harness 101 and preventing the wrapping of the fastening member 102 from being obstructed by the cover portion 19.
[0072] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the harness clip 10 is provided with a pair of second temporary fastening portions 18, which are positioned on both sides of the hinge shaft HA in the direction in which the hinge shaft HA extends relative to the hinge 29 when the cover portion 19 is closed.
[0073] This allows the hinge 29 to be protected from external impacts by the pair of second temporary fastening parts 18.
[0074] Furthermore, the harness clip 10 of this embodiment has a cover portion 19 which has a third surface 21 on which the anchor 23 is positioned. The third surface 21 includes a flat portion 22 located outside the anchor 23 when viewed from its normal direction.
[0075] As a result, by pressing the flat portion 22 of the third surface 21, the cover portion 19 can be rotated around the hinge axis HA and closed without touching the anchor 23.
[0076] Furthermore, the method for attaching the harness clip in this embodiment is a method for attaching a harness clip 10, which comprises a main body portion 11 and a cover portion 19, to a wire harness 101. The cover portion 19 is connected to the main body portion 11 via a hinge 29 and can be opened and closed by rotating around the hinge axis HA. The cover portion 19 has an anchor 23 that engages with an object. The method for attaching the harness clip comprises a first step and a second step. In the first step, the main body portion 11 is attached to the wire harness 101 with a fastening member 102 with the cover portion 19 open. In the second step, after the first step, the cover portion 19 is closed so that a part of the fastening member 102 (non-exposed portion 102a) is positioned between the main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19.
[0077] As a result, in the first step, the cover portion 19 is left open, allowing the fastening member 102 to be easily wrapped around it from the outside. Then, in the second step, the harness clip 10 can be attached to the wire harness 101 by rotating the cover portion 19 around the hinge axis HA to close it. Before or after this attachment, the wire harness 101 is attached to the object via the harness clip 10 by engaging the anchor 23 of the cover portion 19 with the object. This series of attachment operations is easy because it requires only one fastening member 102. It is also low-cost because only one fastening member 102 is needed. Furthermore, since the main body portion 11 and the cover portion 19 are integrated, the harness clip 10 is easier to handle compared to when they are separate parts.
[0078] Next, a second embodiment will be described. Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the configuration of the harness clip 10 according to this embodiment, with the cover portion 19 in a fully open state. Figure 7 is a perspective view showing the configuration of the harness clip 10 according to this embodiment, with the cover portion 19 in a fully closed state. In the description of this embodiment, the same or similar components as in the previously described embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals in the drawings, and their descriptions may be omitted.
[0079] As shown in Figures 6 and 7, in this embodiment, the hook portion provided at the tip of the first engaging claw 26 of the cover portion 19 faces outward. That is, unlike the first embodiment, the hook portion of the first engaging claw 26 protrudes in a direction away from the hinge 29. The first engaging claw 26 engages with the first engaging wall portion 16 of the main body portion 11 at the same time that the cover portion 19 is closed. At this time, the hook portion overcomes the first engaging wall portion 16 as the first engaging claw 26 elastically deforms appropriately, and then enters the first engaging hole 16a toward the side away from the hinge 29. The first engaging claw 26 is an example of the first engaging portion.
[0080] Similarly, the second engaging claw 27 of the cover portion 19 engages with the second engaging wall portion 17 of the main body portion 11 at the same time that the cover portion 19 is closed. The engagement of the second engaging claw 27 is the same as in the first embodiment described above. That is, after the hooking portion overcomes the second engaging wall portion 17 due to the elastic deformation of the second engaging claw 27 as appropriate, the hooking portion enters the second engaging hole 17a toward the hinge 29 side.
[0081] Thus, the engagement between the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall 16, and the engagement between the second engaging claw 27 and the second engaging wall 17, are both snap-fit engagements. Furthermore, when the cover portion 19 is closed, the direction in which the hook portion of the first engaging claw 26 enters the first engaging hole 16a of the first engaging wall 16, and the direction in which the hook portion of the second engaging claw 27 enters the second engaging hole 17a of the second engaging wall 17 are opposite to each other. Therefore, even if the hinge 29 breaks, the snap-fit engagement will not be released whether the cover portion 19 is moved to one side or the other side in the longitudinal direction D1 relative to the main body portion 11. Thus, secure fixing can be achieved.
[0082] As described above, in this embodiment, the harness clip 10 has a snap-fit engagement between the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall 16, and between the second engaging claw 27 and the second engaging wall 17. The orientation of the hook portion of the first engaging claw 26 and the orientation of the hook portion of the second engaging claw 27 are opposite.
[0083] As a result, even if the hinge 29 is damaged, the snap-fit engagements of both parts can prevent the cover 19 from detaching from the main body 11, even if the cover 19 and the main body 11 attempt to move relative to each other.
[0084] Preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but the above configuration can be modified as follows, for example. Modifications may be made individually, or multiple modifications may be made in any combination.
[0085] In the above embodiment, one second temporary fastening portion 18 is configured as the first portion, and the other second temporary fastening portion 18 is configured as the second portion. However, the first portion and the second portion may be provided separately from each second temporary fastening portion 18. Also, the first portion and the second portion may be provided on the cover portion 19 instead of the main body portion 11.
[0086] In the above embodiment, the first engaging claw 26 and the first engaging wall portion 16 are male and female, respectively, but this male-female relationship may be reversed. That is, the first engaging claw 26 may be provided on the main body portion 11 and the first engaging wall portion 16 may be provided on the cover portion 19. This also applies to the relationship between the second engaging claw 27 and the second engaging wall portion 17.
[0087] In the above embodiment, the anchor 23 is integrally formed with the cover portion 19, but the anchor 23 may be a separate part that can be attached to the cover portion 19. In this case, for example, if different sized anchors are required depending on the type of object, this can be addressed by replacing only the anchor 23 instead of the entire harness clip 10.
