Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to furniture and a method for installing furniture.
Background Art
[0002] In general, a kitchen unit is provided with a plurality of storage sections such as a cooking table, a stove table, and a sink table (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Such a kitchen unit is transported to a construction site in a state where each of the plurality of storage sections is pre-assembled, and is constructed by assembling these with other members. Since each of the plurality of storage sections tends to be large and heavy, transportation and on-site construction may be time-consuming. In contrast, a knockdown structure kitchen unit is also known, in which a plurality of members constituting each storage section are transported to the construction site in an unassembled state, and the plurality of members are assembled at the construction site to form each storage section. When constructing a knockdown structure kitchen unit, for example, the rear portions of a pair of side wall members provided on the side portions and the inner wall member provided between the pair of side wall members are connected to a back member such as a back plate or a batten provided on the back surface, and the top plate member is placed on the pair of side wall members and the inner wall member.

The portion of the first upper front plate portion 61 that protrudes upward from the front end of the first upper fixing portion 62 is referred to as the lower portion 611. The portion of the first upper front plate portion 61 that curves and protrudes forward from the upper end of the lower portion 611 is referred to as the front protruding portion 612. The first upper fixing portion 62 is fixed on top of the lower fixing portion 52. The lower portion 611 of the first upper front plate portion 61 overlaps the upper portion 511 of the lower front plate portion 511 from the rear. The front protruding portion 612 of the lower front plate portion 51 is positioned above the lower front plate portion 51. The rear portion of the lower fixing portion 52 is positioned behind the rear end of the first upper fixing portion 62. In other words, the first upper fixing portion 62 does not overlap the rear portion of the lower fixing portion 52.
[0049] As shown in Figures 21, 22, and 24, the second upper member 42 has a second upper front plate portion 71 and a second upper fixing portion 72. The second upper fixing portion 72 has the same shape as the first upper fixing portion 62 of the first upper member 41. The second upper front plate portion 71 is connected to the front end of the second upper fixing portion 72. The second upper front plate portion 71 protrudes upward from the front end of the second upper fixing portion 72 and is further bent to protrude forward. The portion of the second upper front plate portion 71 that protrudes upward from the front end of the second upper fixing portion 72 is referred to as the lower portion 711. The portion of the first upper front plate portion 61 that protrudes forward from the upper end of the lower portion 711 is referred to as the front protruding portion 712. The second upper fixing portion 72 is fixed on top of the lower fixing portion 52, similar to the first upper fixing portion 62. The lower portion 711 of the second upper front plate portion 71 overlaps the upper portion 511 of the lower front plate portion 511 from the rear. The front protruding portion 712 of the second upper front plate portion 71 is positioned above the lower front plate portion 51.
[0050] The third upper member 43 has the same cross-sectional shape as the first upper member 41. The third upper member 43 is fixed to the lower member 5 in the same way as the first upper member 41. Each part of the third upper member 43 will be described using the same names and reference numerals as the first upper member 41.
[0051] As shown in Figures 21, 22, and 25, the fourth upper member 44 has a fourth upper front plate portion 81 and a fourth upper fixing portion 82. The fourth upper fixing portion 82 has the same shape as the first upper fixing portion 62 of the first upper member 41. The fourth upper front plate portion 81 is connected to the front end of the first upper fixing portion 62. The fourth upper front plate portion 81 protrudes upward from the front end of the first upper fixing portion 62 and then curves and protrudes forward. The portion of the fourth upper front plate portion 81 that protrudes upward from the front end of the fourth upper fixing portion 82 is referred to as the lower portion 811. The portion of the fourth upper front plate portion 81 that curves and protrudes forward from the upper end of the lower portion 811 is referred to as the front protruding portion 812. The fourth upper fixing portion 82 is fixed on top of the lower fixing portion 52, similar to the first upper fixing portion 62. The lower portion 811 of the fourth upper front plate portion 81 overlaps the upper portion 511 of the lower front plate portion 511 from the rear. The front protruding portion 812 of the fourth upper front plate portion 81 is positioned above the lower front plate portion 51.
[0052] A connecting member 45 is provided between the left-right adjacent first upper member 41 and the second upper member 42, between the second upper member 42 and the third upper member 43, and between the third upper member 43 and the fourth upper member 44, connecting to the end of the left-right adjacent upper member.
[0053] As described above, the first upper fixing portion 62, the second upper fixing portion 72, and the fourth upper fixing portion 82 do not overlap the rear portion of the lower fixing portion 52. The upper lateral member 4 is placed on the protruding portion 122 of the third side wall connecting fitting 245 attached to the side wall member 24 and the third inner wall connecting fitting 275 attached to the inner wall member 27, and is fixed by a resin fastener 49 inserted from below, for example. Holes are formed in the rear portion of the lower fixing portion 52 of the upper lateral member 4, the protruding portion 122 of the third side wall connecting fitting 245, and the protruding portion 122 of the third inner wall connecting fitting 275 into which the resin fastener is inserted.
[0054] At the rear portion of the lower fixing portion 52, in a position that overlaps in the front-rear direction with the front ends of the inner wall member 27 and the grill partition wall member 28, a recess 521 is formed that opens to the rear, into which the front ends of the inner wall member 27 and the grill partition wall member 28 are inserted.
[0055] As shown in Figure 1, the lower end of the lower member 5 is positioned behind the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of the third drawer 313, the fifth drawer 315, and the sixth drawer 316. The lower end of the lower member 5 is located below the upper end of the front panel 31a of these drawers 31. A gap is formed between the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of these drawers 31 and the lower member 5. By inserting their fingers into this gap, the user can place their fingers on the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a or pinch the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a to slide these drawers 31 in and out of the kitchen unit body 2. When these drawers 31 are stored in the kitchen unit body 2, the packing 53 comes into contact with the back surface of the front panel 31a of these drawers 31. This prevents water, dust, etc. from entering the inside of the drawers 31 when they are stored in the kitchen unit body 2.
[0056] The upper end of the first upper member 41 is positioned behind the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of the first drawer 311. The upper end of the first upper member 41 is located above the lower end of the front panel 31a of the first drawer 311. A gap is formed between the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of the first drawer 311 and the first upper member 41. The same applies to the third upper member 43, and a gap is formed between the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of the fourth drawer 314 and the third upper member 43. By inserting their fingers into this gap, the user can place their fingers on the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a or pinch the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a to slide the first drawer 311 and the fourth drawer 314 in the front-to-back direction and insert them into or remove them from the kitchen unit body 2. Since the upper horizontal member 4 does not interfere with the handle portion 31b of the drawer 31, the upper horizontal member 4 can be positioned near the front end of the kitchen unit 1.
[0057] The front protruding portion 712 of the second upper member 42 is positioned below the grille 321. The space between the front protruding portion 712 of the second upper member 42 and the lower surface of the grill 321 is set to a size that prevents a user's fingers from getting caught. The second upper member 42 prevents the user from inadvertently coming into contact with the lower surface of the grill 321, for example, when placing their hand on the handle portion 31b of the front panel 31a of the third drawer 313.
[0058] As shown in Figure 4, the front protruding portion 812 of the fourth upper member 44 is positioned behind the sink front plate 331. The front protruding portion 812 is positioned at approximately the same height as the lower end of the sink front plate 331. The gap between the sink front plate 331 and the front protruding portion 812 is set to be small. It is also not necessary to provide a gap between the sink front plate 331 and the front protruding portion 812. By doing so, dust and other debris are prevented from entering the second storage compartment 21b from between the sink front plate 331 and the fourth upper member 44.
[0059] The following describes the installation method for kitchen unit 1. The following steps should be performed in advance at a factory or similar facility before assembling kitchen unit 1. Attach the first side wall connecting fitting 243, the second side wall connecting fitting 244, and the third side wall connecting fitting 245 to the side wall member 24. Attach the first inner wall connecting fitting 273, the second inner wall connecting fitting 274, and the third inner wall connecting fitting 275 to the inner wall member 27. Attach the first grill partition wall connecting fitting 283 and the second grill partition wall connecting fitting 284 to the grill partition wall member 28. Connect each member to the upper horizontal member 4. If necessary, install the rails for the drawer 31 on the side wall member 24 and the inner wall member 27.
[0060] As shown in Figure 26, the battens 23 are fixed to the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 at the installation site of the kitchen unit 1. Refer also to Figures 8 and 10 for fixing the first side wall member 241 and the battens 23. Tilt the first side wall member 241 so that its upper side is positioned in front of its lower side, and position the second piece 115b of the first projection 115 of the first side wall connecting fitting 243 below the batten 23 from the front and insert it into the hole 23a of the batten 23 from below. Return the tilted first side wall member 241 to its original position and insert the second projection 116 of the first side wall connecting fitting 243 into the hole 23b of the batten 23 from the front. This fixes the first side wall member 241 and the batten 23. Similarly, fix the battens 23 to the second side wall member 242.
[0061] The lower lateral member 29 is fixed to the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242. Refer to Figures 11 and 12 for fixing the first side wall member 241 and the lower lateral member 29. The upper side of the first side wall member 24 kitchen unit 1 is tilted so that it is positioned in an oblique position, with the upper side positioned further forward than the lower side. The second piece 115b of the first projection 115 of the second side wall connecting fitting 244 is positioned above the lower lateral member 29 from the rear and inserted into the hole 29a of the lower lateral member 29 from above. The tilted first side wall member 241 is returned to its original position and the second projection 116 of the first side wall connecting fitting 243 is inserted into the hole 29b of the lower lateral member 29 from the rear. This fixes the first side wall member 241 and the lower lateral member 29. Similarly, the lower lateral member 29 is fixed to the second side wall member 242.
[0062] The rear upper end of the first side wall member 241 and the rear upper end of the second side wall member 242 are connected by a batten 23, and the front lower end of the first side wall member 241 and the front lower end of the second side wall member 242 are connected by a lower horizontal member 29. The first side wall member 241, the second side wall member 242, the batten 23, and the lower horizontal member 29 are connected in a frame-like manner. The first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 in this state are installed on the floor surface FS. Because the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 are connected to each other by the batten 23 and the lower horizontal member 29, they are installed on the floor surface FS in a state where they are less likely to shift position relative to each other.
[0063] As shown in Figure 27, the first inner wall member 271 and the second inner wall member 272 are fixed to the battens 23 and the lower horizontal member 29. For details on fixing the inner wall member 27 to the battens 23 and the lower horizontal member 29, please also refer to Figures 14 and 16 to 18. The second inner wall member 272 is positioned such that the first inner wall connecting fitting 273 is on the upper side of the battens 23 and the second inner wall connecting fitting 274 is on the upper side of the lower horizontal member 29. It is then lowered, and the protruding portion 135 of the connecting portion 132 of the first inner wall connecting fitting 273 is inserted into the hole 23c of the battens 23, while the protruding portion 135 of the connecting portion 132 of the second inner wall connecting fitting 274 is inserted into the hole 29c of the lower horizontal member 29. This fixes the second inner wall member 272 to the battens 23 and the lower horizontal member 29. The second piece 133b of the guide portion 133 of the connecting portion 132 of the first inner wall connecting fitting 273 faces the front surface of the batten 23. Therefore, the guide portion 133 can be used to position the second inner wall member 272 and the batten 23. The second piece 133b of the guide portion 133 of the connecting portion 132 of the second inner wall connecting fitting 274 faces the rear surface of the lower horizontal member 29. Therefore, the guide portion 133 can be used to position the second inner wall member 272 and the lower horizontal member 29. Similarly, the first inner wall member 271 is also fixed to the batten 23 and the lower horizontal member 29.
[0064] The grill partition wall member 28 is fixed to the battens 23 and the lower horizontal member 29. The grill partition wall member 28 is positioned such that the first grill partition wall connecting fitting 283 is on the upper side of the battens 23 and the second grill partition wall connecting fitting 284 is on the upper side of the lower horizontal member 29. It is then lowered, and the protruding portion 135 of the connecting portion 132 of the first grill partition wall connecting fitting 283 is inserted into the hole 23c of the battens 23, and the protruding portion 135 of the connecting portion 132 of the second grill partition wall connecting fitting 284 is inserted into the hole 29c of the lower horizontal member 29. This fixes the grill partition wall member 28 to the battens 23 and the lower horizontal member 29. The second piece 133b of the guide portion 133 of the connecting portion 132 of the first grill partition wall connecting fitting 283 faces the front surface of the battens 23. Therefore, the guide portion 133 can be used to position the grill partition wall member 28 and the batten 23. The second piece 133b of the guide portion 133 of the connecting portion 132 of the second grill partition wall connecting fitting 284 faces the rear surface of the lower horizontal member 29. Therefore, the guide portion 133 can be used to position the grill partition wall member 28 and the lower horizontal member 29.
[0065] As shown in Figure 3, the upper horizontal member 4 is fixed to the side wall member 24, the inner wall member 27, and the grill partition wall member 28. The upper horizontal member 4 is positioned between the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242, and also in the upper notches 27a of the first inner wall member 271 and the second inner wall member 272, and in the intermediate notches 28b of the grill partition wall member 28. As shown in Figures 24 and 25, the front ends of the first side wall member 241, the second side wall member 242, and the grill partition wall member 28 are inserted into the recesses 521 of the upper horizontal member 4. As shown in Figures 13, 23, and 24, the upper horizontal member 4 is fixed to the third side wall connecting fittings 245 attached to the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242, and to the third inner wall connecting fittings 275 attached to the first inner wall member 271 and the second inner wall member 272. In this way, as shown in Figure 3, the first side wall member 241, the second side wall member 242, the first inner wall member 271, the second inner wall member 272, and the grill partition wall member 28 are connected by the battens 23, the lower horizontal member 29, and the upper horizontal member 4, and are installed on the floor surface FS in a stable state.
[0066] As shown in Figure 1, the stovetop 32 and sink 33 are installed. The countertop member 25 is installed on top of the first side wall member 241, the second side wall member 242, the first inner wall member 271, the second inner wall member 272, and the grill partition wall member 28. The drawer 31 is installed. In this way, the kitchen unit 1 is assembled.
[0067] In the kitchen unit 1 and the installation method for the kitchen unit 1 of this embodiment, the rear of the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 are connected by a batten 23, and the front of the first side wall member 241 and the front of the second side wall member 242 are connected by a lower horizontal member 29. This makes it difficult for the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 to shift positions relative to each other during installation. Therefore, it is easy to determine the vertical position when the pair of side wall members are installed on the floor surface. The battens 23 and lower horizontal members 29 are stabilized by the first side wall members 241 and second side wall members 242 installed on the floor surface FS. This makes it easy to connect the first inner wall member 271, the second inner wall member 272 and the grill partition wall member 28 to the battens 23 and lower horizontal members 29, and to easily position the first inner wall member 271, the second inner wall member 272 and the grill partition wall member 28 in the vertical direction relative to the battens 23 and lower horizontal members 29.
[0068] The upper ends of the rear of the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 are connected by a batten 23, and the lower ends of the front of the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 are connected by a lower horizontal member 29. In other words, the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 are connected at diagonal positions when viewed from the left and right directions. This makes it less likely for the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 to shift position during construction. Therefore, it is easier to position the first side wall member 241 and the second side wall member 242 vertically when they are installed on the floor surface FS. The battens 23 and the lower horizontal members 29 are positioned diagonally opposite each other on the side wall members 24 when viewed from the left and right directions. As a result, the spacing between the battens 23 and the lower horizontal members 29 is large, which improves the workability of the first inner wall member 271, the second inner wall member 272, and the grill partition wall member 28.
[0069] In the kitchen unit 1 of this embodiment, the upper horizontal member 4 extends across the entire left-right direction. Therefore, it is easier to install compared to the case where multiple upper horizontal members 4 are provided.
[0070] (Second Embodiment) The kitchen unit 1B according to the second embodiment shown in Figure 28 is a kitchen unit having a knockdown structure, similar to the kitchen unit 1 of the first embodiment. The drawer 31 is installed. The doors 351a, 352a, and 353a of the storage spaces 351, 352, and 353 are attached. In this way, the kitchen unit 1B is assembled.
[0080] The kitchen unit 1B according to the second embodiment provides the same effects as the first embodiment.
[0081] This disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above and can be modified as appropriate. For example, instead of the kitchen units 1 and 1B, furniture such as storage shelves, desks, and washbasins may be provided with the above-described side wall members 24, inner wall members 27, battens 23, lower horizontal members 29, lower members 5, and top plate members 25. The battens 23 may or may not be fixed to the wall surface WS. The battens 23 may be connected to the lower side or the intermediate part in the vertical direction instead of the upper end portions of the side wall members 24, inner wall members 27, and grill partition wall members 28. Instead of the battens 23, a back plate may be provided as a back member extending across the entire left-right direction of the kitchen units 1 and 1B, and the side wall members 24, inner wall members 27, and grill partition wall members 28 may be fixed to the back plate. The forms of the lower horizontal members 29, 29B and the upper horizontal member 4 may be other than those described above. The arrangement of the lower horizontal member 29 and the upper horizontal member 4 may be at different heights than described above, as long as the upper horizontal member 4 is positioned above the lower horizontal member 29.
[0082] The upper horizontal member 4 may be provided at locations other than the boundary between the vertically arranged equipment.
