SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION
[0004] In the welding wire feeder described in Patent Document 1, since a pneumatic structure or a hydraulic structure is used to adjust the pressurizing force of the pressurizing roll, the structure may become complicated.
[0005] The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pressurizing mechanism and a wire feeding device that are simply configured.
MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS
[0006] The pressurizing mechanism according to the present invention is capable of applying pressure to a surface to be pressed. The pressurizing mechanism comprises a shaft portion, a holder portion, a handle portion, a first magnet, an extension portion, and a second magnet. The shaft portion extends in a direction intersecting the surface to be pressed. The holder portion is arranged around the shaft portion in the axial direction and fixed to the shaft portion. The handle portion is connected to the holder portion and is capable of changing its position relative to the holder portion in the axial direction. The first magnet is housed inside the holder portion and is movable inside the holder portion in the axial direction. The extension portion is connected to the first magnet and extends outside the holder portion so as to face the surface to be pressed. The second magnet is connected to the handle portion and is located on the opposite side of the surface to be pressed in the axial direction with respect to the first magnet. The pressurizing mechanism can increase the repulsive force generated between the first magnet and the second magnet by bringing the handle portion closer to the holder portion in the axial direction. The pressurizing mechanism is configured so that the repulsive force can act on the surface to be pressed via the extension portion.
[0007] In this case, compared to cases where the pressurizing mechanism is constructed using pneumatic or hydraulic systems, piping structures and the like are unnecessary, allowing for a simpler configuration of the pressurizing mechanism.
[0008] In one embodiment of the present invention, either the first magnet or the second magnet is an electromagnet.
[0009] This allows current to be passed through the electromagnet when needed to generate a repulsive force between the first and second magnets. By positioning the pressurizing mechanism opposite the surface to be pressurized when the electromagnet is not operating, the pressurizing mechanism can be made easier to handle.
[0010] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first magnet is an electromagnet.
[0011] In this case, the wiring connected to the electromagnet can be installed on the holder side, so that the wiring does not get in the way when operating the handle by hand.
[0012] The wire feeding device according to the present invention comprises the above-mentioned pressurizing mechanism, a feeding roll, a feeding device body, a pressurizing roll, and a pressurizing roll holder. The feeding roll is attached to the feeding device body. The pressurizing roll feeds the welding wire while sandwiching it between itself and the feeding roll. The pressurizing roll holder is attached to the pressurizing roll and allows the relative position of the pressurizing roll with respect to the feeding roll to be changed. A shaft is connected to the feeding device body. The pressurizing roll holder is provided with a pressure-receiving surface. By applying a repulsive force to the pressure-receiving surface of the pressurizing mechanism, the welding wire is pressed by the feeding roll and the pressurizing roll.
[0013] This allows the welding wire to be fed using a pressurizing mechanism that can change the applied pressure with a simple configuration using magnets. [Effects of the Invention]
[0014] According to the present invention, a pressurizing mechanism and a wire feeding device with a simple configuration can be provided. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Figure 5] This is a cross-sectional view showing the connection structure between the holder portion and the handle portion according to one embodiment of the present invention. [Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0016] Hereinafter, a pressurization mechanism and a wire feeding device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description of the embodiments, the same reference numerals are assigned to the same or corresponding parts in the drawings, and the description thereof will not be repeated.
[0017] Note that in the drawings, the direction in which the welding wire is fed is defined as the X direction. The direction orthogonal to the direction in which the welding wire is fed and the direction in which the feeder main body and the pressure roll holder are arranged side by side is defined as the Y direction. The direction in which the feeder main body and the pressure roll holder are arranged side by side is defined as the Z direction.
[0018] First, the configuration of the wire feeding device will be described. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of the wire feeding device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
[0019] As shown in Figure 1, the wire feeding device 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention feeds a welding wire 2 to a welding device (not shown). The wire feeding device 1 includes a feed roll 10, a feeder main body 20, a pressure roll 30, a pressure roll holder 40, and a pressurization mechanism 50.
[0020] The feed roll 10 is provided such that the outer peripheral surface of the feed roll 10 is in contact with the welding wire 2. The feed roll 10 is attached to the feeder main body 20. The feed roll 10 is rotatable about the Y direction as the axial center.
[0021] The feed roll 10 includes a first feed roll 11 and a second feed roll 12. The first feed roll 11 and the second feed roll 12 are arranged side by side in the X direction.
[0022] Other components such as the feed roll 10 are connected to the feeder main body 20. The feeder main body 20 is provided with a gear 21 that drives the feed roll 10. The gear 21 meshes with the feed roll 10, and the rotation of the gear 21 allows the feed roll 10 to rotate about the Y direction as the axial center. The feeder main body 20 is provided with a support portion 23. The support portion 23 supports the pressure roll holder 40.
[0023] The pressure roll 30 is aligned with the feed roll 10 in the Z direction. The pressure roll 30 is rotatable around its axis in the Y direction, following the rotation of the feed roll 10. The pressure roll 30 feeds the welding wire 2 while sandwiching it between itself and the feed roll 10. The pressure roll 30 is attached to the pressure roll holder 40.
[0024] The pressure roll 30 includes a first pressure roll 31 and a second pressure roll 32. The first pressure roll 31 and the second pressure roll 32 are aligned in the X direction.
[0025] The pressure roll holder 40 can change the relative position of the pressure roll 30 with respect to the feed roll 10. Since one end of the pressure roll holder 40 is supported by the support portion 23, the pressure roll holder 40 can rotate in the XZ plane with the support portion 23 as its axis (in the R1 direction in Figure 1).
[0026] The pressure roll holder 40 includes a first pressure roll holder 41 and a second pressure roll holder 42. The first pressure roll holder 41 is fitted with a first pressure roll 31. The second pressure roll holder 42 is fitted with a second pressure roll 32.
[0027] The pressure roll holder 40 is provided with a pressure-receiving surface 45. The pressure-receiving surface 45 extends in the XY plane. The pressure-receiving surface 45 is the upper surface portion of the cover of the pressure roll holder 40.
[0028] The pressurizing mechanism 50 is capable of applying pressure to the pressured surface 45. The pressurizing mechanism 50 is capable of applying pressure to the pressured surface 45 in the Z direction. The pressurizing mechanism 50 in this embodiment includes a first pressurizing mechanism 51 and a second pressurizing mechanism 52. Details of the configuration of the pressurizing mechanism 50 will be described later.
[0029] The first feed roll 11 and the second feed roll 12 have the same structure and function. The first pressure roll 31 and the second pressure roll 32 have the same structure and function. The first pressure roll holder 41 and the second pressure roll holder 42 have the same structure and function. The first pressure mechanism 51 and the second pressure mechanism 52 have the same structure and function. Therefore, in the following description, only the configuration related to the first pressure mechanism 51 will be described, and the configuration related to the second pressure mechanism 52 will be omitted.
[0030] Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the configuration of a wire feeding device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Note that the feeding roll 10 and the pressure roll 30 are omitted in Figure 2.
[0031] As shown in Figure 2, the first pressurizing mechanism 51 is fixed to the feeding device body 20 by a pin 25. The pin 25 is inserted through a lateral hole 101 provided in the shaft portion 100 of the first pressurizing mechanism 51, which will be described later. In this way, the shaft portion 100 is connected to the feeding device body 20.
[0032] The first pressurizing mechanism 51 is rotatable about the pin 25 as its axis in the YZ plane (in the direction of the dotted arrow in Figure 2). This allows the first pressurizing mechanism 51 to be moved away from the first pressurizing roll holder 41 by tilting the first pressurizing mechanism 51 from its upright position in the Z direction when removing the welding wire 2 from the feeding device body 20. When pressurizing the first pressurizing roll holder 41 with the first pressurizing mechanism 51, the first pressurizing mechanism 51 is raised in the Z direction so that it is aligned with the pressurized surface 45.
[0033] Next, the details of the first pressurizing mechanism 51 (pressurizing mechanism 50) will be described. Figure 3 is an exploded cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the pressurizing mechanism 50 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the pressurizing mechanism 50 according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0034] As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the first pressurizing mechanism 51 according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a shaft portion 100, a holder portion 110, a handle portion 130, a first magnet 140, an extension portion 150, and a second magnet 160.
[0035] Figures 3 and 4 show the state when the first pressurizing mechanism 51 is aligned in the Z direction on the pressurized surface 45. In Figures 3 and 4, the X direction is one direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the shaft portion 100 of the first pressurizing mechanism 51, the Y direction is perpendicular to the axial direction of the shaft portion 100 of the first pressurizing mechanism 51 and also perpendicular to the X direction, and the Z direction is the axial direction of the shaft portion 100 when the first pressurizing roll holder 41 is pressurized by the first pressurizing mechanism 51.
[0036] The shaft portion 100 extends in a direction (Z direction) intersecting the pressured surface 45. The shaft portion 100 is made of a metallic material such as steel. The shaft portion 100 is provided with a transverse hole 101 on the first end E1 side in the Z direction. The transverse hole 101 penetrates the shaft portion 100 in the X direction.
[0037] The holder portion 110 is positioned around the shaft portion 100 in the axial direction (Z direction). The holder portion 110 is made of, for example, a resin material.
[0038] The holder portion 110 has a bottomed cylindrical shape. The holder portion 110 has a first inner circumference portion 111, a first outer circumference portion 113, and a bottom portion 115.
[0039] The first inner circumference 111 has a cylindrical shape that extends in the Z direction with the Z direction as its axis. The first inner circumference 111 is provided with a through hole 121 that extends in the Z direction. The shaft portion 100 is inserted through the through hole 121.
[0040] The first outer circumference 113 has a cylindrical shape that extends in the Z direction with the Z direction as its axis, while maintaining a gap with respect to the first inner circumference 111 in the circumferential direction in the Z direction.
[0041] Multiple grooves 123 are provided on the outer circumference of the first outer circumference 113. Each of the multiple grooves 123 has an annular shape extending in the XY plane. The multiple grooves 123 are provided spaced apart from each other in the Z direction.
[0042] The bottom portion 115 connects the first inner circumference portion 111 and the first outer circumference portion 113 at the end of the holder portion 110 on the first end E1 side in the Z direction.
[0043] The bottom portion 115 has a cylindrical bottom wall portion 127 extending in the XY plane. Through holes 129 are provided in the bottom wall portion 127. Multiple through holes 129 are provided, spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction in the Z direction. The through holes 129 penetrate the bottom wall portion 127 in the Z direction.
[0044] The first inner circumference 111, the first outer circumference 113, and the bottom 115 form a first recess 119 that is recessed toward the first end E1 in the Z direction.
[0045] The holder portion 110 is fixed to the shaft portion 100. In this embodiment, the holder portion 110 is fixed to the shaft portion 100 via a projection 105. The projection 105 is fixed to the outer circumference of the shaft portion 100 by press-fitting or the like. The holder portion 110 is fixed to the shaft portion 100 via the projection 105 when the projection 105 is fitted into the fitting hole 116 of the bottom portion 115.
[0046] The handle portion 130 is connected to the holder portion 110. The handle portion 130 can be repositioned relative to the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction) (direction of arrow D1 in Figure 4). The handle portion 130 can be repositioned manually. The handle portion 130 is made of, for example, a resin material.
[0047] The handle portion 130 has a second inner circumference portion 131, a second outer circumference portion 133, and an upper surface portion 135.
[0048] The second inner circumference 131 has a cylindrical shape that extends in the Z direction with the Z direction as its axis. The second inner circumference 131 is provided with a housing hole 137 that extends in the Z direction. The shaft portion 100 is housed in the housing hole 137. This restricts the movement of the handle portion 130 in the XY plane.
[0049] The second outer circumference 133 has a cylindrical shape that extends in the Z direction with the Z direction as its axis, while maintaining a gap with respect to the second inner circumference 131 in the circumferential direction in the Z direction. The second outer circumference 133 is the part that is held by hand.
[0050] A claw portion 138 is provided at the end of the second outer circumference 133 on the first end E1 side in the Z direction. The claw portion 138 protrudes radially inward from the inner surface of the second outer circumference 133. The claw portion 138 can engage with any one of the multiple groove portions 123.
[0051] The holder portion 110 and the handle portion 130 constitute a so-called snap-fit structure, which is made up of multiple grooves 123 and claws 138. As a result, the handle portion 130 can be fixed in position relative to the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction) and can also be moved.
[0052] The upper portion 135 connects the second inner circumference portion 131 and the second outer circumference portion 133 at the end of the handle portion 130 on the second end E2 side in the Z direction.
[0053] The second inner circumference 131, the second outer circumference 133, and the upper surface 135 form a second recess 139 that is recessed toward the second end E2 in the Z direction.
[0054] The first magnet 140 is housed inside the holder portion 110. The first magnet 140 has a cylindrical shape. The first magnet 140 is housed in the first recess 119. The material of the first magnet 140 is not particularly limited, as long as it is within the range of generating a magnetic force capable of obtaining the necessary pressurizing force for the first pressurizing mechanism 51.
[0055] The first magnet 140 is movable inside the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction). Since the first magnet 140 is provided with a gap between it and the first inner circumference 111 and the first outer circumference 113, it can move inside the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction). The first magnet 140 is movable in the axial direction (Z direction) until it contacts the bottom portion 115.
[0056] The extension portion 150 extends outward from the holder portion 110 so as to face the pressured surface 45 while being connected to the first magnet 140. Multiple extension portions 150 are provided spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction in the Z direction (see Figure 2). The extension portion 150 extends outward from the holder portion 110 so as to face the pressured surface 45 through the insertion hole 129. The extension portion 150 is made of a metallic material such as steel.
[0057] The second magnet 160 is connected to the handle portion 130. The second magnet 160 has a cylindrical shape. The second magnet 160 is housed in the second recess 139. The second magnet 160 is fitted onto the outer circumference of the second inner circumference portion 131. The material of the second magnet 160 is not particularly limited, as long as it is within the range of generating a magnetic force capable of obtaining the necessary pressurizing force for the first pressurizing mechanism 51.
[0058] The second magnet 160 is located in the axial direction (Z direction) on the opposite side from the pressurized surface 45 with respect to the first magnet 140.
[0059] Either the first magnet 140 or the second magnet 160 is an electromagnet. In this embodiment, the first magnet 140 is the electromagnet. Wiring 141 (see Figure 2) is provided on the first magnet 140. By passing an electric current through the wiring 141 to the first magnet 140, a magnetic force is generated in the first magnet.
[0060] The first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 are capable of generating magnetic forces that repel each other. In this embodiment, a repulsive force F1 can be generated between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 by flowing current through the first magnet 140 via the wiring 141. The timing for flowing current through the first magnet 140 is preferably when the first pressurizing mechanism 51 is aligned with the pressurized surface 45 in the Z direction and the first pressurizing roll holder 41 is pressurized by the first pressurizing mechanism 51.
[0061] By bringing the handle portion 130 closer to the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction), the repulsive force F1 generated between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 can be increased. Specifically, by engaging the claw portion 138 with the groove portion located on the first end E1 side of the plurality of groove portions 123, the handle portion 130 can be brought closer to the holder portion 110 in the axial direction (Z direction). As a result, the distance between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 is shortened, and the generated repulsive force F1 increases. In Figure 4, the claw portion 138 is engaged with the groove portion located furthest towards the first end E1 side of the plurality of groove portions 123, so the handle portion 130 is closest to the holder portion 110.
[0062] A repulsive force F1 is applied to the first magnet 140 in the axial direction (Z direction). The first magnet 140 moves inside the holder portion 110. The extension portion 150 also moves axially (Z direction) along with the first magnet 140. As a result, the tip 151 of the extension portion 150 comes into contact with the pressured surface 45, and the pressured surface 45 is pressed.
[0063] As described above, the pressurizing mechanism 50 is configured to apply a repulsive force F1 to the pressurized surface 45 via the extension portion 150. By applying the repulsive force F1 to the pressurized surface 45 of the pressurizing mechanism 50, the welding wire 2 can be pressed by the feeding roll 10 and the pressurizing roll 30.
[0064] By constructing the pressurizing mechanism 50 using the repulsive force F1 of the magnet, it is not necessary to consider design specifications such as the natural length of the spring, compared to when a spring is used in the pressurizing mechanism. Furthermore, when adjusting the pressurizing force using a spring, the biasing force of the spring may vary, potentially causing variations in the pressurizing force. In addition, while springs have a fatigue life due to repeated operation, in the case of magnets, it is not necessary to consider the fatigue life of the spring. Therefore, the design freedom of the pressurizing mechanism 50 can be increased compared to when a spring is used in the pressurizing mechanism.
[0065] Furthermore, the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 may each be made of permanent magnets.
[0066] Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view showing the connection structure between the holder portion 110 and the handle portion 130 according to one embodiment of the present invention. In Figure 5, the upper figure shows a cross-sectional view of the first rotation angle A1 in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z direction), and the lower figure shows a cross-sectional view of the second rotation angle A2 in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z direction).
[0067] As shown in Figure 5, the first pressurizing mechanism 51 according to one embodiment of the present invention further comprises a locking mechanism 170. The locking mechanism 170 is composed of a claw portion 138 and a plurality of protrusions 125.
[0068] In this embodiment, multiple claw portions 138 are provided in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z direction), spaced apart from one another.
[0069] The axial (Z-direction) positional relationship between the holder portion 110 and the handle portion 130 is changed at the first rotation angle A1 in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z-direction). Since the claw portion 138 is engaged relatively shallowly with the multiple groove portions 123, the axial (Z-direction) positional relationship between the holder portion 110 and the handle portion 130 can be moved with a relatively weak force.
[0070] After changing the relative position of the holder portion 110 and the handle portion 130, the handle portion 130 is rotated relative to the holder portion 110 to a second rotation angle A2 in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z direction).
[0071] At the second rotation angle, multiple protrusions 125 are provided between each of the multiple grooves 123.
[0072] The outer diameter of the multiple protrusions 125 is larger than the outer diameter of the first outer circumference 113 at the first rotation angle A1. As a result, when the claw portion 138 is moved in the axial direction (Z direction), the multiple protrusions 125 function to hinder the movement of the claw portion 138, making it difficult for the multiple claw portions 138 to come out of the multiple grooves 123. Consequently, even if a repulsive force F1 is generated between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160, it is possible to suppress the handle portion 130 from coming out of the holder portion 110.
[0073] In this embodiment, the claw portions 138 are provided in multiple locations spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction in the axial direction (Z direction), but the configuration is not limited to this. The claw portions 138 may be provided so as to extend around the entire circumference of the second outer circumference 133. Also, the locking mechanism 170 does not have to be provided on the first pressurizing mechanism 51.
[0074] In a pressurizing mechanism 50 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a handle portion 130 is movably attached to a holder portion 110, and the repulsive force F1 generated between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160 can be easily changed by changing the distance between the first magnet 140, which is placed inside the handle portion 130, and the second magnet 160, which is connected to the handle portion 130. As a result, the pressure applied when the first magnet 140 repels the second magnet 160 and the extension portion 150 connected to the first magnet 140 pressurizes the pressurized surface 45 can be easily changed. Compared to a configuration that pressurizes by pneumatics or hydraulics, piping structures and the like are unnecessary, and the configuration of the pressurizing mechanism 50 can be simplified. As a result, a pressurizing mechanism 50 with adjustable pressurizing force can be provided with a space-saving and simple configuration.
[0075] In a pressurizing mechanism 50 according to one embodiment of the present invention, by configuring either the first magnet 140 or the second magnet 160 as an electromagnet, an electric current can be passed through the electromagnet when necessary to generate a repulsive force F1 between the first magnet 140 and the second magnet 160. This allows the pressurizing mechanism 50 to be positioned facing the pressurized surface 45 when the electromagnet is not activated, making the pressurizing mechanism 50 easier to handle.
[0076] In the pressurizing mechanism 50 according to one embodiment of the present invention, by configuring the first magnet 140 as an electromagnet, the wiring 141 connected to the electromagnet can be provided on the holder portion 110 side, compared to the case where the second magnet 160 placed on the handle portion 130 is also an electromagnet. This prevents the wiring 141 from getting in the way when operating the handle portion 130 by hand.
[0077] In a wire feeding device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the welding wire 2 can be fed by a pressurizing mechanism 50 that can change the pressure applied using a simple configuration with a magnet.
[0078] The embodiments disclosed herein are illustrative in all respects and do not constitute a limiting interpretation. Therefore, the technical scope of this disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above. Furthermore, all modifications within the meaning and scope of equivalence to the claims are included. In the description of the embodiments above, combinatorial configurations may be combined with each other. [Explanation of symbols]
