The objective is to provide a tank, a support column mounting structure, and a tank installation method that eliminate the need for scaffolding on top of the tank while ensuring the safety of workers on top of the tank. [Solution] The tank 10 is equipped with a plurality of mounting fixtures 50 arranged on the outer surface 13 of the upper part 11 of the tank at predetermined distances apart along the tank axis. Support columns 80 for attaching safety wires 90 are detachably attached to the mounting fixtures 50. By attaching the support columns 80 to the mounting fixtures 50 and attaching the safety wires 90 to the support columns 80, the tank 10 makes it possible to perform work at height on the upper part 11 of the tank without installing a plate-like scaffolding on the upper part 11 of the tank.
