SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION
[0004] However, conventional joint connectors are effective means only for low-voltage harnesses. In high-voltage harnesses, a shield shell is used to prevent noise from being radiated to the outside, but there is no measure to prevent noise propagating inside high-voltage electric wires, and the noise propagates to other high-voltage units via the welded portion. Figure 1 is a diagram showing the prior art. Noise generated in the high-voltage unit A1 propagates through the electric wire and reaches the joint case 4. At the core wire welded portion 15 inside the joint case 4, the noise is split, and then propagates through the electric wires to reach the high-voltage unit B2 and the high-voltage unit C3. The noise that has reached the high-voltage unit B2 and the high-voltage unit C3 exerts adverse effects such as a risk of causing malfunction of the circuit in the high-voltage unit B2 and the circuit in the high-voltage unit C3.
[0005] An object of the present invention is to prevent noise generated in the high-voltage unit A1 from propagating to the high-voltage unit B2 and the high-voltage unit C3.
MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM
[0006] The inventors of this invention discovered that a capacitor can be connected between the positive and negative connection points within the joint case, and thus completed the present invention.
[0007] (1) The connection structure according to the present invention is a connection structure having a connection part that conducts electricity between wires in order to distribute power, and comprises a shield shell provided outside the connection part, a joint case provided further outside the shield shell, and a capacitor housing part between the positive side and the negative side of the connection part for electrically connecting a capacitor to the wire. (2) The connection part is a core wire welded part formed by welding the core wires together, and the capacitor housing part may be fitted with intermediary terminals that electrically connect the core wire welded part to both ends of the capacitor. (3) The intermediary terminal may have a terminal length that allows for the electrical connection of capacitors of various sizes. (4) The resin joint case may have a vertical wall made of resin that serves as a wire partition, and the metal shield shell may have a through hole through which the vertical wall serving as a wire partition passes. [Effects of the Invention]
[0008] According to the present invention, since the capacitor exhibits low impedance with respect to noise frequencies, noise generated in the upstream high-voltage unit recirculates through the capacitor in the joint case and does not propagate to the downstream high-voltage unit. [0010] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Figure 2 is a diagram illustrating the principle of an embodiment of the present invention. A capacitor 20 is connected between two electric wires at the core wire weld 15 inside the joint case 4. Since the capacitor 20 exhibits low impedance at noise frequencies, noise generated in the high-voltage unit A1 and traveling through the electric wires to the joint case 4 passes through the capacitor 20 and returns to the high-voltage unit A1. Therefore, the noise does not propagate to the high-voltage units B2 and C3.
[0011] Figure 3 shows the internal structure of the joint case 4 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The electric wire 11 passes through the rubber stopper 12 and is fixed to the ferrule 13. The insulation of the electric wire 11 is stripped, exposing the core wire 14. The three core wires 14 are welded together at the core wire welding section 15. The ferrule 13 is fixed to the ferrule receiving section 17. The electric wire 11 that has come out of the joint case 4 is covered by the cable cover 52. The electric wire partition section 51 acts as a boundary, with the upper side being the P(+) side electric wire and the lower side being the N(-) side electric wire, and the electric wire partition section 51 mechanically separates them so that they do not come into contact with each other. These structures are shielded by a metal shield shell, so as not to radiate noise to the outside. Figure 3 shows the shield shell (lower side) 61 and the shield shell (upper side) 62. Further, the metal shield shell is further covered by a resin joint case (lower side) 41 and a joint case (upper side) 42.
[0012] Next, the part related to the capacitor for preventing noise propagation will be described. The capacitor 20 is accommodated in the resin part 120 inside the capacitor accommodating portion. The component that electrically connects the electrode of the capacitor 20 and the core wire welded portion 15 is the intermediate terminal 150.
[0013] Figure 4 is a diagram three-dimensionally showing the structure of the joint case 4 of the embodiment. The electric wire 11 is covered by the cable cover 52, and three core wires are welded to each other at the core wire welded portion 15. The covered electric wire is fixed by the ferrule 13 and the rubber plug 12. With the capacitor 20 accommodated in the capacitor accommodating portion 30, the capacitor accommodating portion 30 is placed between the two core wire welded portions 15. Since the intermediate terminal extends from the capacitor accommodating portion 30, the core wire welded portion 15 and the capacitor 20 are electrically connected by the intermediate terminal. These structures are covered by the metal shield shell (upper side) 62 and shield shell (lower side) 61, as well as the resin joint case (upper side) 42 and joint case (lower side) 41.
[0014] In the joint case (lower side) 41 and the joint case (upper side) 42, standing walls that serve as the resin electric wire partition portion 51 are provided upright. The metal shield shell (upper side) 62 and the shield shell (lower side) 61 are each provided with a through hole for the standing wall to pass through.
[0015] Figure 5 is a diagram showing the details of the capacitor accommodating portion 30. The capacitor accommodating portion 30 is composed of the resin part 120 and two metal intermediate terminals 150. The resin part 120 has two holes on its underside, into which a portion of the intermediate terminal 150 is inserted from below. The part represented by the symbol "L" in Figure 5 is the portion of the intermediate terminal 150 inserted from below into the resin part 120. The intermediate terminal 150 also has a groove 141 into which the core wire welded portion 15 is fitted.
[0016] Figure 5B shows a plan view and a front view of the capacitor housing section 30. The length of the part represented by the symbol "L" in Figure 5B is a portion of the length of the intermediary terminal 150 inserted from below the resin part 120. The length of the part represented by the symbol "L" is called the "terminal length". The capacitor 20 is housed in the space between the two intermediary terminals 150 within the resin part 120. Therefore, by providing intermediary terminals 150 with various terminal lengths, it is possible to use capacitors 20 of various sizes. The capacitor is not particularly limited, but multilayer ceramic capacitors are preferred. The type, size, etc., such as low dielectric type and high dielectric type, are used depending on the application and are not limited.
[0017] Figure 6 shows the assembly process of the joint case 4 in the embodiment. In the following description, a symbol with a "1" inside a circle will be represented as "〇1". Similarly, a symbol with a "2" inside a circle will be represented as "〇2". The same applies to other numbers.
[0018] In step 1, three wires 11 are prepared by threading the cable cover 52 and rubber stopper 12 onto the wire 11 and performing ferrule treatment (braided end treatment).
[0019] In step 02, the wire ends from step 01 are overlapped and a welding joint is performed. The welding joint can be resistance welding or ultrasonic welding.
[0020] In step 3, the capacitor 20 is fixed to the intermediate terminal 150 of the capacitor housing 30 with solder.
[0021] In step 4, two sets of work-in-progress (P(+) side and N(-) side) that have undergone welding joint processing in step 2 are prepared, the core wire welded parts 15 of the work-in-progress are set in the groove 141 of the capacitor housing section 30, and then fixed with solder.
[0022] In step 5, the shield shell (lower) 61 is fitted into the joint case (lower) 41.
[0023] In step 6, the result of step 4 is placed in the joint case (lower) 41 into which the shield shell (lower) 61 is fitted.
[0024] In step 7, after fitting the shield shell (upper) 62 and the joint case (upper) 42 into the result of step 6, the cable cover 52 is fitted into the locking part 81 of the joint case (upper) 42.
[0025] In this embodiment, a core wire welded section 15 in which three core wires are welded together was used for the explanation, but this section may be a connection section in which three or more wires are electrically connected in some way in order to distribute power.
[0026] Figure 7 shows a modified example 1 of the embodiment. The previously described embodiment was a two-pronged joint case, but Modification 1 is a three-pronged joint case. The structure of the joint case involves preparing four wires 11 that have been pre-threaded with cable covers 52 and rubber stoppers 12, and then ferruled (braided end treatment), and setting up a work-in-progress with welded joint treatment. From an electrical flow perspective, three downstream circuits are connected to one upstream circuit. The assembly method for the product is the same as that for the two-pronged type.
[0027] Figure 8 shows a modified example 2 of the embodiment. Around the capacitor 20, the P(+) side wire and terminal are positioned close to the N(-) side wire and terminal. Conventionally, to prevent short circuits, the creepage distance is increased as the voltage being handled increases. However, in the embodiment of the present invention, short-circuit prevention can be achieved by applying a silicon potting treatment.
[0028] Figure 8A shows a case where potting has been applied only to the capacitor housing 30, which serves as a measure against short circuits around the capacitor. Figure 8B shows a wire where the insulation has been stripped, exposing the high-voltage conductor, and all of these sections have been potted. This is particularly effective at high voltages where short circuits are more likely to occur.
[0029] Figure 8C shows the entire case after potting. By potting the entire case, it becomes unaffected by external moisture. This has the advantage of eliminating the need for waterproof structures such as rubber seals on the case.
[0030] Figure 9 shows a modified example 3 of the embodiment. Modification 3 involves resin welding the joint case (lower) 41 and the joint case (upper) 42 at their edges to prevent water from entering the case. This eliminates the need for a waterproof or locking structure in the case. Specific methods of resin welding include hot plate welding and ultrasonic welding (direct welding or transmission welding).
[0031] As described above, in the joint case of the present invention, a capacitor is connected between the positive core wire weld and the negative core wire weld. Therefore, noise generated in the upstream high-voltage unit is recirculated through the capacitor in the joint case and prevented from propagating to the downstream high-voltage unit.
