Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a viscoelastic damper.
Background Art
[0002] A viscoelastic damper includes a pair of plate-shaped bodies and a viscoelastic body disposed between the pair of plate-shaped bodies. The viscoelastic damper is a vibration damping damper that absorbs vibration energy, as external vibration causes the pair of plate-shaped bodies to move relative to each other mainly in the direction along the plate surfaces, deforming the viscoelastic body, and converting strain energy inside the viscoelastic body into thermal energy. Viscoelastic dampers are applied not only in buildings but also in many fields that require vibration isolation, such as automobiles, ships, and electrical appliances. As a conventional viscoelastic damper, there is one provided with a sealing member that isolates the viscoelastic body from the external environment, in order to prevent the viscoelastic body from deteriorating due to contact with the atmosphere of the installation environment (for example, refer to Patent Document 1).

Summary of the Invention
Problem to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] In the viscoelastic damper of the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, since the sealing member is disposed in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the viscoelastic body, temperature changes in the installation environment are easily transmitted to the outer peripheral surface of the viscoelastic body through the sealing member, leaving room for improvement regarding aged deterioration caused by temperature changes in the installation environment. Therefore, a viscoelastic damper capable of suppressing aged deterioration caused by temperature changes in the installation environment has been desired.
[0005] The present disclosure has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a viscoelastic damper capable of suppressing aged deterioration caused by temperature changes in the installation environment.
Means for Solving the Problem
[0006] A viscoelastic damper according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a pair of plate-like bodies, a viscoelastic body disposed between the pair of plate-like bodies, and a sealing member that isolates the viscoelastic body from the outside, wherein the sealing member is disposed between the pair of plate-like bodies at a position away from the outer circumferential surface of the viscoelastic body. [Effects of the Invention]
[0007] According to one aspect of this disclosure, a viscoelastic damper can be provided that can suppress deterioration over time due to temperature changes in the installation environment. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0009] <First Embodiment> Hereinafter, a viscoelastic damper 1 according to the first embodiment of this disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 is a perspective view of the viscoelastic damper 1. Figure 2 is a front view of the viscoelastic damper 1. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line III-III of Figure 2. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line IV-IV of Figure 2.
[0010] As shown in Figure 1, the viscoelastic damper 1 comprises a first plate-like body 10 and a second plate-like body 20 (a pair of plate-like bodies), a viscoelastic body 30, and a sealing member 40. The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are attached to a building structure (not shown). The viscoelastic body 30 is placed between the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 and absorbs vibration energy transmitted from the building structure to the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20. The sealing member 40 is placed between the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 and isolates the viscoelastic body 30 from the outside.
[0011] In the following description of each direction in the viscoelastic damper 1, the direction in which the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are aligned will be referred to as the alignment direction Z. One direction perpendicular to the alignment direction Z will be referred to as the first direction X. The direction perpendicular to both the alignment direction Z and the first direction X will be referred to as the second direction Y. The first direction X is the direction in which the viscoelastic body 30 dampens vibrations. The first direction X may be vertical, horizontal, or inclined to both the vertical and / or horizontal directions.
[0012] In this embodiment, the viscoelastic damper 1 comprises one first plate-like body 10, two second plate-like bodies 20 arranged on either side of the first plate-like body 10 in the direction Z, and two viscoelastic bodies 30 and two sealing members 40 arranged between the first plate-like body 10 and each of the second plate-like bodies 20. However, the number of the first plate-like body 10, the second plate-like bodies 20, the viscoelastic bodies 30, and the sealing members 40 is not limited to this.
[0013] The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are, for example, metal plates such as steel plates or aluminum plates. The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are arranged so that their plate surfaces face the alignment direction Z. The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are formed in a rectangular shape when viewed from the alignment direction Z. The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are positioned opposite each other in the alignment direction Z with a gap between them. More specifically, as shown in Figure 3, the plate surface 10a of the first plate-like body 10 and the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20 are positioned opposite each other in the alignment direction Z with a gap between them. The first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 are positioned at different positions in the first direction X. The sizes of the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 in the second direction Y are equal to each other. The positions of the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 in the second direction Y coincide with each other.
[0014] The first plate-like body 10 has a first end 10b located on one side in the first direction X and a second end 10c located on the other side. The first end 10b protrudes from the second plate-like body 20 on one side in the first direction X. The first end 10b is provided with a first mounting portion 11 (mounting portion) for attaching the first plate-like body 10 to an installation location on a building structure. The first mounting portion 11 is provided with a plurality of mounting holes 11a used when attaching to a building structure.
[0015] The second plate-like body 20 has a first end portion 20b located on one side in the first direction X and a second end portion 20c located on the other side. The second end portion 20c protrudes from the first plate-like body 10 to the other side in the first direction X. The second end portion 20c is provided with a second mounting portion 21 (mounting portion) for attaching the second plate-like body 20 to an installation location on a building structure. The second mounting portion 21 is provided with a plurality of mounting holes 21a used when attaching to a building structure.
[0016] The viscoelastic body 30 is a plate-shaped member. The viscoelastic body 30 is formed in a rectangular shape when viewed from the arrangement direction Z. As the material of the viscoelastic body 30, for example, an acrylic resin, a silicone resin, butyl rubber, butadiene rubber, a mixture thereof or the like can be appropriately selected. The viscoelastic body 30 is disposed between the plate surface 10a of the first plate-shaped body 10 and the plate surface 20a of the second plate-shaped body 20. The viscoelastic body 30 is disposed inside the region where the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20 overlap when viewed from the arrangement direction Z. The dimension of the viscoelastic body 30 in the first direction X is smaller than the dimensions of the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20 in the first direction X. The dimension of the viscoelastic body 30 in the second direction Y is smaller than the dimensions of the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20 in the second direction Y.
[0017] The viscoelastic body 30 is bonded to the plate surface 10a of the first plate-shaped body 10 and the plate surface 20a of the second plate-shaped body 20. For example, the viscoelastic body 30 is vulcanization-bonded to the plate surface 10a and the plate surface 20a. Of the surfaces possessed by the viscoelastic body 30, the surfaces that are not in contact with the plate surface 10a of the first plate-shaped body 10 and the plate surface 20a of the second plate-shaped body 20 constitute the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30. The outer peripheral surface 30a has a pair of first surfaces 31 extending in the first direction X, and a pair of second surfaces 32 extending in the second direction Y.
[0018] The seal member 40 is annular, and is disposed between the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20 so as to surround the viscoelastic body 30. The seal member 40 is provided along the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 when viewed from the arrangement direction Z. The seal member 40 is formed of a material having weather resistance and air barrier properties. The seal member 40 may be made of the same material as the viscoelastic body 30, or may be made of an elastic material different from that of the viscoelastic body 30. As the material of the seal member 40, for example, an acrylic resin, a silicone resin, an epoxy resin, a fluororesin, a polyurethane resin, butyl rubber, butadiene rubber, a mixture thereof or the like can be appropriately selected. Alternatively, as the seal member 40, a polyethylene coating, a vinyl coating or the like can be appropriately selected. By providing the seal member 40, it is possible to prevent the viscoelastic body 30 from deteriorating due to contact with the atmosphere in the installation environment of the viscoelastic damper 1.
[0019] The seal member 40 is arranged at a position spaced apart from the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30. In the present embodiment, the seal member 40 is arranged at a position spaced apart from the viscoelastic body 30 over the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface 30a. Specifically, the seal member 40 is formed in a rectangular frame shape, and includes a pair of first seal portions 41 extending in the first direction X and facing each other in the second direction Y, and a pair of second seal portions 42 extending in the second direction Y and facing each other in the first direction X. The first seal portion 41 is arranged at a position spaced apart from the first surface 31, and the second seal portion 42 is arranged at a position spaced apart from the second surface 32.
[0020] Here, if the seal member is disposed in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the viscoelastic body, temperature changes in the installation environment of the viscoelastic damper are easily transmitted to the outer peripheral surface of the viscoelastic body through the seal member, which may cause the aging deterioration of the viscoelastic body to progress. In the present embodiment, the seal member 40 is arranged at a position spaced apart from the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30. Since a heat insulation effect is obtained by forming the space S between the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the seal member 40, compared with, for example, a case where the seal member is disposed in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the viscoelastic body, the aging deterioration of the viscoelastic body 30 due to temperature changes in the installation environment of the viscoelastic damper 1 can be suppressed.
[0021] The seal member 40 is in contact with the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20, and the space S between the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the seal member 40 (more specifically, the space formed by the first plate-shaped body 10, the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30, the second plate-shaped body 20, and the seal member 40) preferably has airtightness. In this case, the heat insulation effect by the space S can be enhanced. Further, the space S may be filled with an inert gas. As the inert gas, for example, nitrogen gas, helium, argon, xenon, krypton, or the like can be appropriately selected. In this case, deterioration of the viscoelastic body 30 due to the gas in the space S can be suppressed. For example, after the viscoelastic body 30 and the seal member 40 are installed between the first plate-shaped body 10 and the second plate-shaped body 20, the air in the space S may be replaced with an inert gas.
[0022] As shown in Figure 4, at least one of the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20 is provided with a misalignment suppression portion 50 that suppresses misalignment of the sealing member 40. In this embodiment, the misalignment suppression portion 50 is provided only on the second plate-like body 20 (one of the pair of plate-like bodies). In this embodiment, the misalignment suppression portion 50 is composed of grooves 22 formed on the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20. The grooves 22 are provided so as to overlap the sealing member 40 when viewed from the direction of alignment Z (i.e., along the outer circumferential surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30). The grooves 22 are provided in an annular shape so as to overlap the entire sealing member 40 when viewed from the direction of alignment Z (i.e., along the entire outer circumferential surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30). Note that the grooves 22 may be formed discretely as long as they can suppress misalignment of the sealing member 40. By positioning the end of the sealing member 40 within the groove 22, displacement of the sealing member 40 is suppressed. Furthermore, the first plate-like body 10 (the other of the pair of plate-like bodies) and the sealing member 40 are slidable. This suppresses the sealing member 40 from hindering the deformation of the viscoelastic body 30, thereby ensuring the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper 1. Note that the displacement suppression portion 50 may be provided only on the first plate-like body 10, and the second plate-like body 20 and the sealing member 40 may be slidable.
[0023] Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view showing a displacement suppression portion 50 according to a first modified example of this embodiment. As shown in Figure 5, the displacement suppression portion 50 may be composed of projections 23 formed on the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20. The projections 23 are provided in an annular shape so as to overlap the entire sealing member 40 when viewed from the alignment direction Z (i.e., along the entire outer surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30). The projections 23 may be formed discretely as long as they can suppress displacement of the sealing member 40. By embedding the projections 23 at the end of the sealing member 40, displacement of the sealing member 40 is suppressed. Alternatively, the annular projections 23 may be provided in a double configuration, and the end of the sealing member 40 may be positioned between the double annular projections 23.
[0024] Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view showing a displacement suppression section 50 according to a second modified example of this embodiment. As shown in Figure 6, the displacement suppression section 50 may be composed of a surface treatment section 24 formed on the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20. The surface treatment section 24 is formed by roughening the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20 by blasting or the like. The sealing member 40 is placed on the surface treatment section 24. The displacement of the sealing member 40 is suppressed by the frictional force between the sealing member 40 and the surface treatment section 24.
[0025] Figure 7 is a cross-sectional view showing a displacement suppression portion 50 according to a third modified example of this embodiment. As shown in Figure 7, the displacement suppression portion 50 may be provided on both the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20. In the illustrated example, the displacement suppression portion 50 provided on the first plate-like body 10 is composed of a groove portion 12 formed on the plate surface 10a of the first plate-like body 10, and the displacement suppression portion 50 provided on the second plate-like body 20 is composed of a groove portion 22 formed on the plate surface 20a of the second plate-like body 20. The displacement suppression portion 50 provided on the first plate-like body 10 may also be composed of the aforementioned protrusions or surface treatment portions. The displacement suppression portion 50 provided on the first plate-like body 10 and the displacement suppression portion 50 provided on the second plate-like body 20 may have different forms.
[0026] Furthermore, when the displacement suppression portion 50 is provided on both the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20, it is preferable that the sealing member 40 is formed such that the shear stiffness of the sealing member 40 is less than or equal to the shear stiffness of the viscoelastic body 30. This suppresses the sealing member 40 from hindering the deformation of the viscoelastic body 30, thereby ensuring the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper 1.
[0027] As described above, the viscoelastic damper 1 according to this embodiment comprises a pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20, a viscoelastic body 30 disposed between the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20, and a sealing member 40 that isolates the viscoelastic body 30 from the outside. The sealing member 40 is positioned between the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20, away from the outer circumferential surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30. According to the above configuration, a space S is formed between the outer surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40, thereby providing a thermal insulation effect. Compared to, for example, the case where the sealing member is in close contact with the outer surface of the viscoelastic body, this configuration can suppress the deterioration of the viscoelastic body 30 over time due to temperature changes in the installation environment of the viscoelastic damper 1.
[0028] Furthermore, at least one of the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20 is provided with a displacement suppression portion 50 to suppress displacement of the sealing member 40. With this configuration, it is possible to suppress displacement of the sealing member 40 and its close contact with the viscoelastic body 30, thereby ensuring the heat insulation effect of the space S between the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40.
[0029] Furthermore, the displacement suppression section 50 is provided on each of the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20. With this configuration, displacement of the sealing member 40 can be suppressed more effectively.
[0030] Furthermore, the shear stiffness of the sealing member 40 is less than or equal to the shear stiffness of the viscoelastic body 30. With this configuration, the sealing member 40 is prevented from hindering the deformation of the viscoelastic body 30, and the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper 1 can be ensured.
[0031] Furthermore, the displacement suppression part 50 is provided on only one of the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20, and the other plate-like body 10 and 20 and the sealing member 40 are slidable. With this configuration, the displacement suppression part 50 provided on one of the pair of plate-like bodies 10 and 20 can suppress displacement of the sealing member 40. In addition, because the other plate-like body 10 and 20 and the sealing member 40 are slidable, the sealing member 40 is prevented from hindering the deformation of the viscoelastic body 30, and the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper 1 can be ensured.
[0032] Furthermore, the displacement suppression section 50 is composed of grooves 22 formed in the plate-like body 10 and / or 20. Furthermore, the displacement suppression section 50 is composed of protrusions 23 formed on the plate-like body 10 and / or 20. Furthermore, the displacement suppression section 50 is composed of a surface treatment section 24 formed on the plate-like body 10 and / or 20. According to the above configuration, the displacement suppression part 50 can be formed with a simple structure.
[0033] Furthermore, the sealing member 40 is made of the same material as the viscoelastic body 30. With this configuration, the sealing member 40 can function as a vibration damping structure in the same way as the viscoelastic body 30, thereby improving the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper 1.
[0034] Furthermore, the space S between the sealing member 40 and the viscoelastic body 30 is filled with an inert gas. With this configuration, deterioration of the viscoelastic body 30 due to the gas in the space S between the sealing member 40 and the viscoelastic body 30 can be suppressed.
[0035] Furthermore, the sealing member 40 is positioned at a distance from the viscoelastic body 30 along the entire circumference of the outer surface 30a. This configuration enhances the heat insulation effect provided by the space S between the outer surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40.
[0036] <Second Embodiment> Next, a viscoelastic damper 1A of the second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described. In this embodiment, the same reference numerals are used for parts that are the same as those in the first embodiment, and their descriptions are omitted; only the differences will be described.
[0037] Figure 8 is a front view of the viscoelastic damper 1A. As shown in Figure 8, in this embodiment, a pair of first sealing portions 41 of the sealing member 40 that face each other in the second direction Y are in close contact with a pair of first surfaces 31. A pair of second sealing portions 42 of the sealing member 40 that face each other in the first direction X are positioned at a distance from a pair of second surfaces 32. That is, a space S is formed between the second surfaces 32 and the second sealing portions 42.
[0038] As described above, in the viscoelastic damper 1A of this embodiment, the sealing member 40 is in close contact with the portion of the outer peripheral surface 30a that faces the sealing member (first surface 31) in the second direction Y. With this configuration, the size of the viscoelastic damper 1A in the second direction Y can be reduced while utilizing the shapes of the plate-like bodies 10 and 20 necessary for attaching the viscoelastic damper 1A to a building structure to form a space S between the outer peripheral surface 30a of the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40. More specifically, a first mounting portion 11 (mounting portion) is provided at the first end 10b located on one side in the first direction X of the first plate-like body 10, and a second mounting portion 21 (mounting portion) is provided at the second end 20c located on the other side in the first direction X of the second plate-like body 20. In other words, the length of the plate-like bodies 10 and 20 in the first direction X is increased in order to attach the viscoelastic damper 1A to a building structure. In this embodiment, the sealing member 40 is positioned away from the portion of the outer peripheral surface 30a that is opposed in the first direction X (second surface 32), thereby utilizing the shape of the plate-like bodies 10 and 20 which are long in the first direction X to secure space S. On the other hand, by making the sealing member 40 adhere closely to the portion of the outer peripheral surface 30a that is opposed in the second direction Y (first surface 31), the size of the viscoelastic damper 1A in the second direction Y can be reduced.
[0039] <Third Embodiment> Next, a viscoelastic damper 1B of the third embodiment according to this disclosure will be described. In this embodiment, the same reference numerals are used for parts that are the same as those in the first embodiment, and their descriptions are omitted; only the differences will be described.
[0040] Figure 9 is a cross-sectional view of the viscoelastic damper 1B. As shown in Figure 9(a), in this embodiment, the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40 are placed between a pair of connecting plates 61 and 62 and fixed to the pair of connecting plates 61 and 62. This forms an intermediate unit 60 composed of the viscoelastic body 30, the sealing member 40, and the pair of connecting plates 61 and 62.
[0041] Subsequently, as shown in Figure 9(b), the intermediate unit 60 is positioned between the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20. The connecting plate 61 is fixed to the first plate-like body 10 and the connecting plate 62 is fixed to the second plate-like body 20, thereby positioning the viscoelastic body 30 and the sealing member 40 between the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20. With this configuration, the intermediate unit 60 can be easily positioned between the first plate-like body 10 and the second plate-like body 20.
[0042] It should be noted that this disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above with reference to the drawings, and various modifications are possible within its technical scope.
[0043] For example, in the above embodiment, the viscoelastic body 30 may be formed in a circular shape or a polygonal shape other than a rectangle when viewed from the direction of arrangement Z, and the sealing member 40 may be formed in an annular shape or a polygonal frame shape other than a rectangle.
[0044] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the misalignment suppression portion 50 may be an adhesive, and the sealing member 40 may be bonded to the plate-like body 10 and / or 20.
[0045] Furthermore, in the second embodiment, the sealing member 40 may be in close contact with only one of the pair of first surfaces 31 and positioned away from the other.
[0046] Furthermore, it is possible to replace the components in the above embodiments with well-known components as appropriate, without departing from the spirit of this disclosure, and the above-described modifications may be combined as appropriate.
[0047] (Note) The viscoelastic damper according to the above embodiment can be understood, for example, as follows. <1> A viscoelastic damper according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a pair of plate-like bodies, a viscoelastic body disposed between the pair of plate-like bodies, and a sealing member that isolates the viscoelastic body from the outside, wherein the sealing member is disposed between the pair of plate-like bodies at a position away from the outer circumferential surface of the viscoelastic body. According to the above configuration, a space is formed between the outer surface of the viscoelastic body and the sealing member, thereby providing a thermal insulation effect. Compared to, for example, the case where the sealing member is in close contact with the outer surface of the viscoelastic body, this configuration can suppress the deterioration of the viscoelastic body over time due to temperature changes in the installation environment of the viscoelastic damper.
[0048] <2> the above <1> In the viscoelastic damper relating to this, at least one of the pair of plate-like bodies may be provided with a displacement suppression portion to suppress displacement of the sealing member. [0051] <5> the above <2> In the viscoelastic damper relating to this, the displacement suppression portion may be provided on only one of the pair of plate-like bodies, and the other of the pair of plate-like bodies and the sealing member may be slidable. According to the above configuration, the displacement suppression portion provided on one of the pair of plate-like bodies can suppress displacement of the sealing member. Furthermore, since the other of the pair of plate-like bodies and the sealing member are slidable, the sealing member is prevented from hindering the deformation of the viscoelastic body, thereby ensuring the vibration damping performance of the viscoelastic damper.
[0052] <6> the above <2> from <5> In a viscoelastic damper relating to any one of the above, the displacement suppression portion may be composed of grooves formed in the plate-like body. According to the above configuration, a displacement suppression part can be formed with a simple structure.
