Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] There is a demand for dividing a plurality of cables into a plurality of groups, and fixing the plurality of groups to a single fixing member with a single band.

[0005] In the technology described in Patent Document 1, one band is used to secure one cable, requiring a number of bands corresponding to the number of cables. Furthermore, in order to fix the position of the bands relative to the fixing material, adjacent sliding ends must be in contact with each other and placed parallel within the groove of the fixing material. Therefore, the spacing between adjacent bands is limited by the size of the sliding ends and cannot be freely selected.

[0006] One of the purposes of this disclosure is to provide a cable support member that can secure multiple cables, divided into multiple groups, to a single fastening material with a single band, and that allows the spacing between adjacent groups to be freely adjusted. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] The cable support member of this disclosure comprises a plurality of blocks arranged in a row in parallel and in contact with each other, a holding mechanism for maintaining the parallel state of the plurality of blocks, and a band for fastening a plurality of cables to the plurality of blocks. The plurality of blocks comprises a plurality of first blocks and one or more second blocks. Each of the plurality of first blocks has a hole through which the band is inserted. The band has serrations formed on at least one side. The inner circumferential surface of the hole has claws that engage with the serrations to prevent the band from moving in the direction opposite to the direction in which the band is inserted. The plurality of first blocks are arranged so that adjacent first blocks form pairs, and a plurality of such pairs are arranged in parallel. The one or more second blocks are arranged between the first blocks in at least one of the plurality of pairs. The surfaces of the plurality of blocks and the band form a space for dividing the plurality of cables into a plurality of groups by inserting the band through the hole so that it stitches the first blocks constituting the plurality of pairs in sequence. [Effects of the Invention]

[0008] The cable support member of this disclosure can secure multiple cables, which are divided into multiple groups, to a single fastening material with a single band, and the spacing between adjacent groups can be freely changed. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[0010] [Description of Embodiments in this Disclosure] First, the embodiments of this disclosure will be listed and described.

[0011] (1) A cable support member according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a plurality of blocks arranged in a row in parallel and in contact with each other, a holding mechanism for maintaining the parallel state of the plurality of blocks, and a band for fastening a plurality of cables to the plurality of blocks. The plurality of blocks comprises a plurality of first blocks and one or more second blocks. Each of the plurality of first blocks has a hole through which the band is inserted. The band has serrations formed on at least one side. The inner circumferential surface of the hole has claws that engage with the serrations so as not to move the band in the direction opposite to the direction in which the band is inserted. The plurality of first blocks are arranged so that adjacent first blocks form pairs, and a plurality of such pairs are arranged in parallel. The one or more second blocks are arranged between the first blocks in at least one of the plurality of pairs. The surfaces of the plurality of blocks and the band form a space for dividing the plurality of cables into a plurality of groups by inserting the band through the hole so as to sequentially stitch the first blocks that constitute the plurality of pairs.

[0012] In the cable support member described in (1) above, by inserting the band through the hole in a manner that sequentially stitches together multiple first blocks, each having a claw that engages with the serrations of the band, a space can be formed to divide multiple cables into multiple groups. Multiple blocks arranged in a row in contact with each other function as a fixing material to which multiple cables are secured. Therefore, with the above cable support member, multiple cables divided into multiple groups can be fixed to a single fixing material with a single band.

[0013] Adjacent first blocks are defined as a pair, and a plurality of the pairs are arranged in parallel to form a plurality of the spaces. By disposing one or more second blocks between the first blocks in at least one of the plurality of pairs, the size of the space can be changed, and the interval between adjacent groups can be changed. That is, the size of the space can be arbitrarily changed according to the size and number of cables to be tightened in the space of each group. Since the plurality of blocks are held by the holding mechanism, the arrangement order of the plurality of blocks can be freely selected. The size of the space and the interval between adjacent groups can be freely selected according to the arrangement order of the plurality of blocks.

[0014] The first end portion of the band is normally formed so that the band does not come out of the hole of the first block. The band is inserted through the holes so as to sequentially thread through the first blocks. Therefore, if the first end portion of the band is cut, the band is pulled out from all the first blocks, whereby members other than the band in the cable support member can be reused.

[0015] (2) In the cable support member according to the above (1), the one or more second blocks may include a fixing block. The fixing block includes a fixing portion for fixing the plurality of blocks to an installation target.

[0016] When the fixing block is disposed, the cable support member can be fixed to the installation target. Since the fixing block is arranged in parallel with the other blocks by the holding mechanism, a plurality of cables can be fixed to the installation target by the plurality of integrated blocks. For example, in a case where a fixing member is provided for each group of cables, it is necessary to individually fix each fixing member to the installation target. According to the configuration of the above (2), even when a plurality of cables are divided into a plurality of groups, the plurality of groups can be fixed to the installation target by the plurality of integrated blocks, so that the number of the fixing portions can be minimized.

[0017] (3) In the cable support member according to the above (1) or the above (2), the band may include a retaining portion that is hooked at the inlet of the hole of the first block.

[0018] If the band is provided with the retaining portion, the band can be prevented from coming off in the direction in which the band is inserted through the hole, and the cables of each group can be appropriately tightened to the plurality of blocks. If the band is provided with the retaining portion, the plurality of blocks and the band can be handled separately.

[0019] (4) In the cable support member according to the above (1) or the above (2), the first end portion of the band may be fixed to the first block or the second block.

[0020] If the first end portion of the band is fixed to the first block or the second block, the block to which the first end portion of the band is fixed is arranged in parallel with the other blocks, so that the plurality of blocks and the band can be handled integrally.

[0021] (5) In the cable support member according to any one of the above (1) to the above (4), the holding mechanism may include two side wall portions, a first end wall portion, and a second end wall portion. The two side wall portions are arranged at an interval such that the plurality of blocks are slidably disposed. Two edges of the mutually facing surfaces of the two side wall portions are provided with guide rails including protruding strips formed along the length of the side wall portions. The first end wall portion connects the first end portions of the two side wall portions. The second end wall portion connects the second end portions of the two side wall portions. At least one of the first end wall portion and the second end wall portion is configured to be detachable from the two side wall portions.

[0022] In the configuration described in (5) above, the parallel arrangement of multiple blocks is firmly held by multiple wall sections. Since the two side wall sections are configured to allow multiple blocks to slide freely, it is easy to arrange multiple blocks in a desired order. Since at least one of the first end wall section and the second end wall section is configured to be detachably attached to the two side wall sections, multiple blocks and holding mechanisms in the cable support member can be reused.

[0023] (6) In the cable support member described in any of (1) to (5) above, the holding mechanism may include an engaging portion that is provided to connect adjacent blocks to each other. The engaging portion is formed in each of the plurality of blocks.

[0024] In the configuration described in (6) above, by bringing adjacent blocks into contact and engaging them, the parallel state of multiple blocks can be easily maintained.

[0025] (7) In the cable support member described in any of (1) to (6) above, the serrations may be formed on both sides of the band.

[0026] If serrations are formed on both sides of the band, the band can be inserted through the hole in the first block without having to worry about the band's orientation.

[0027] [Details of the embodiments of this disclosure] Specific examples of embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. Identical reference numerals in the drawings indicate identical parts. In each drawing, some parts of the configuration may be exaggerated or simplified for illustrative purposes. The dimensional ratios of parts in the drawings may also differ from those of the actual parts. The present invention is not limited to these examples and is indicated by the claims, and all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims are intended.

[0028] [Embodiment 1] <Overview> The cable support member 1 of Embodiment 1 will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3, and as appropriate to Figures 4 to 8. One of the features of the cable support member 1 is that, as shown in Figures 1 and 4, it is configured so that multiple cables 10 (Figure 4), which are divided into multiple groups 100, can be fixed to multiple integrated blocks 2 (Figure 1) with a single band 8. As shown in Figure 1, the cable support member 1 comprises multiple blocks 2, a holding mechanism 7, and a band 8. The multiple blocks 2 are arranged in a parallel line in contact with each other. The holding mechanism 7 maintains the parallel state of the multiple blocks 2. The band 8 fastens the multiple cables 10 (Figure 4) to the multiple blocks 2. The cable support member 1 is fixed to an installation target (not shown), for example, a car body panel.

[0029] <block> As shown in Figure 1, each of the multiple blocks 2 comprises multiple first blocks 3 and one or more second blocks 4. In this example, multiple second blocks 4 are arranged. Each of the multiple second blocks 4 comprises at least one of a solid block 5 and a fixing block 6. The multiple blocks 2 are independent members of each other. In Figure 2, for clarity, one first block 3, one solid block 5, and one fixing block 6 are shown spaced apart from each other.

[0030] Each of the multiple blocks 2 is a rectangular prism. Adjacent blocks 2 are in surface contact with each other. In each of the multiple blocks 2, the size of the surface that contacts the adjacent block 2 is the same. The multiple blocks 2 shown in Figure 1 are all rectangular prisms of the same size. The multiple blocks 2 may include blocks 2 of different sizes, as will be described later with reference to Figure 7.

[0031] Each of the multiple blocks 2 is made of either resin or metal. Resins include, for example, nylon 66, nylon 46, nylon 9T, a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene, polypropylene, polyetheretherketone, and polyacetal. Metals include, for example, stainless steel such as SUS316. The multiple blocks 2 may all be made of the same material, or they may include blocks 2 made of different materials.

[0032] ≪First Block≫ The first block 3, as shown in Figures 5 to 8, is a member for positioning the band 8 along a predetermined path. The first block 3, as shown in Figure 2, has a hole 3h through which the band 8 is inserted. The first block 3, as shown in Figures 5 to 8, has an inlet 3A through which the band 8 is introduced into the hole 3h, and an outlet 3B through which the band 8 is pulled out of the hole 3h. The inner circumferential surface of the hole 3h has claws 3c that engage with serrations 85 (Figure 1) formed on the band 8. The claws 3c engage with the serrations 85 so that the band 8 does not move in the direction opposite to the direction in which the band 8 is inserted into the hole 3h, that is, in the direction from the outlet 3B toward the inlet 3A. The claws 3c allow movement of the band 8 in the direction from the inlet 3A toward the outlet 3B.

[0033] As shown in Figures 1 and 5 through 8, multiple first blocks 3 are arranged in parallel, with adjacent first blocks 3 forming pairs 30. In each pair 30, the axes of the holes 3h of adjacent first blocks 3 are parallel. In each pair 30, the inlets 3A and outlets 3B of the holes 3h of adjacent first blocks 3 are reversed. For example, in the rightmost pair 30 shown in Figure 5, the rightmost first block 3 has the inlet 3A at the bottom and the outlet 3B at the top, while the leftmost first block 3 has the inlet 3A at the top and the outlet 3B at the bottom. For example, in the second pair 30 from the right shown in Figure 5, the rightmost first block 3 has the inlet 3A at the top and the outlet 3B at the bottom, while the leftmost first block 3 has the inlet 3A at the bottom and the outlet 3B at the top. In each pair 30, the orientation of the claws 3c formed on adjacent first blocks 3 is reversed. In Figure 5, the direction from bottom to top is called the first direction, and the direction from top to bottom is called the second direction. A pair 30 is formed by a first block 3 having a first claw 3c that engages with the serration 85 to prevent the band 8 from moving in the first direction, and a first block 3 having a second claw 3c that engages with the serration 85 to prevent the band 8 from moving in the second direction. As shown in Figure 5, first block 3s with upward-facing claws 3c and first block 3s with downward-facing claws 3c are arranged alternately. In each pair 30, the entrance 3A and exit 3B of the holes 3h of adjacent first block 3s are reversed, and the orientation of the claws 3c is reversed, so that the band 8 can be inserted through the holes 3h as if sewing multiple first block 3s in sequence, and the band 8 can be engaged with each first block 3.

[0034] The size of the first block 3 can be appropriately selected within the range that allows band 8 to be inserted through hole 3h.

[0035] ≪Second Block≫ The second block 4 is positioned between the first block 3 in at least one of the multiple pairs 30, as shown in Figures 1 and 5 to 8. The second block 4 shown in Figures 1, 5, 7, and 8 is positioned between the first block 3 in each of the right pair 30, the left pair 30, and the middle pair 30. The second block 4 shown in Figure 6 is positioned between the first block 3 in each of the right pair 30 and the left pair 30, but not in the middle pair 30. As shown in Figure 8, two or more second blocks 4 may be positioned in contact with each other.

[0036] The second block 4 is a component for adjusting the spacing between the first blocks 3 in at least one of the multiple pairs 30. As shown in Figures 5 to 8, by inserting the band 8 through the holes 3h so as to sequentially "sew" the multiple first blocks 3, a space 9 is formed that divides the multiple cables 10 into multiple groups 100. By placing the second block 4 between adjacent first blocks 3, the size of the above space can be changed, or the spacing between adjacent groups 100 can be changed. The number of second blocks 4 placed between adjacent first blocks 3 can be selected as appropriate.

[0037] Multiple second blocks 4 each comprise at least one of a solid block 5 and a fixing block 6. As shown in Figures 1, 5, and 7, multiple second blocks 4 may comprise both a solid block 5 and a fixing block 6. As shown in Figure 6, multiple second blocks 4 may comprise the fixing block 6 but not the solid block 5. As shown in Figure 8, multiple second blocks 4 may comprise the solid block 5 but not the fixing block 6. The number of solid blocks 5 and fixing blocks can be selected as appropriate.

[0038] [Middle Block] The solid block 5 is a component used to adjust the spacing between the first blocks 3 in at least one of the multiple pairs 30. In this example, the solid block 5 is a rectangular parallelepiped of the same size as the fixing block 6, which will be described later. The solid block 5 may be a rectangular parallelepiped with a different length from the fixing block 6, as shown in Figure 7. Also, as shown in Figure 8, multiple solid blocks 5 of different lengths may be included. The length of the block 2 here is the dimension along the direction in which the multiple blocks 2 are arranged in parallel. The length of the solid block 5 contributes to the above-mentioned spacing. If the length of the solid block 5 is relatively long, the above-mentioned spacing can be increased. If the length of the solid block 5 is relatively short, the above-mentioned spacing can be decreased. In this example, one solid block 5 is placed between adjacent first blocks 3, but multiple solid blocks 5 may be placed. In this case, all solid blocks 5 of the above-mentioned length may be placed, or solid blocks 5 of different lengths may be included. The above-mentioned length can be appropriately selected according to the above-mentioned spacing.

[0039] [Fixing blocks] The fixing block 6 is a component for adjusting the spacing described above and for fixing multiple blocks 2 to an installation target (not shown). As shown in Figure 2, the fixing block 6 includes a fixing portion 60. The fixing portion 60 has a configuration that allows multiple blocks 2 to be fixed to the installation target.

[0040] The fixing part 60 in this example is a clip. Specifically, the fixing part 60 in this example comprises two main body parts 61 and two projections 62. The two main body parts 61 are fixed to the fixing block 6 so as to protrude from the contour lines of the multiple blocks 2. Each of the two main body parts 61 has a free end. The two main body parts 61 are arranged in parallel, and the two free ends are elastically deformable in both directions toward and toward each other. The two projections 62 are provided on the two free ends. The two projections 62 protrude toward the direction toward each other at the free ends. When the fixing part 60 is inserted into a hole formed in an object to be installed (not shown), the projections 62 catch on the hole, and the multiple blocks 2, including the fixing block 6, are fixed to the object to be installed. The fixing part 60, which is made of a clip, can be removed from the object to be installed using a clip remover.

[0041] The fixing part 60 can be appropriately selected depending on the installation target (not shown). The fixing part 60 may be a push rivet type clip or a screw. The fixing part 60 may be a recess rather than a protruding part as in this example. This recess may be, for example, a blind hole with an engaging recess inside. In this case, the installation target is provided with a protrusion. The multiple blocks 2, including the fixing block 6, are fixed to the installation target by fitting the protrusion provided on the installation target into the engaging recess.

[0042] <Retention mechanism> As shown in Figure 1, the holding mechanism 7 has a configuration that holds multiple blocks 2 in a parallel state. As shown in Figure 3, the holding mechanism 7 in this example has two side walls 71 and 72, a first end wall 73, and a second end wall 74.

[0043] Each of the two side wall sections 71 and 72 is a long rectangular plate. The two side wall sections 71 and 72 are spaced apart so that a plurality of blocks 2 can be slidably positioned between them. The two edges of the opposing surfaces of the two side wall sections 71 and 72 are provided with guide rails 710 and 720, which include protrusions formed along the length of the side wall sections 71 and 72. The guide rails 710 and 720 are provided so that the entrance 3A and exit 3B of the hole 3h of the first block 3 are exposed. The guide rails 710 and 720 allow the plurality of blocks 2 to slide freely between the two side wall sections 71 and 72, and prevent the plurality of blocks 2 from coming out of the two side wall sections 71 and 72 in a direction intersecting the direction in which the plurality of blocks 2 slide.

[0044] The first end wall portion 73 connects the first ends of the two side wall portions 71 and 72. The second end wall portion 74 connects the second ends of the two side wall portions 71 and 72. At least one of the first end wall portion 73 and the second end wall portion 74 is configured to be detachably attached to the two side wall portions 71 and 72. In this example, the first end wall portion 73 is integrally fixed to the two side wall portions 71 and 72, and the second end wall portion 74 is configured to be detachably attached to the two side wall portions 71 and 72. The second end wall portion 74 in this example is provided with two projections 741. The two projections 741 protrude toward the side wall portions 71 and 72 at positions on the second end wall portion 74 facing the side wall portions 71 and 72. Engaging portions 742 are provided at the tips of the two projections 741. The engaging portions 742 in this example are projections on the two projections 741 that protrude toward each other in a direction away from each other. Holes 71h and 72h are formed in the end faces of the side wall portions 71 and 72. The holes 71h and 72h are blind holes with bottoms. Recesses (not shown) are formed on the inner surfaces of the holes 71h and 72h. When the projection portion 741 is inserted into the holes 71h and 72h, the engaging portion 742, which is made up of projections, fits into the recesses, and the second end wall portion 74 is attached to the two side wall portions 71 and 72. The engaging portion 742 may be a recess formed on the side surface of the projection portion 741. In this case, projections are formed on the inner surfaces of the holes 71h and 72h that fit into the engaging portion 742 formed by the recesses.

[0045] If the configuration holds multiple blocks 2 with two side walls 71 and 72, the parallel arrangement of the multiple blocks 2 is firmly maintained. Since the two side walls 71 and 72 are configured to allow the multiple blocks 2 to slide freely, it is easy to arrange the multiple blocks 2 in a desired order. The multiple blocks 2 are slidable in both directions along the guide rails 710 and 720. Therefore, multiple blocks 2 can be freely inserted into and removed from the holding mechanism 7, and the type and number of blocks 2 arranged in parallel within the holding mechanism 7 can be easily changed. Since the second end wall 74 is configured to be detachably attached to the two side walls 71 and 72, the multiple blocks 2 and the holding mechanism 7 in the cable support member 1 can be reused.

[0046] The material of each of the two side walls 71, 72, the first end wall 73, and the second end wall 74 is either resin or metal. Specific examples of resin and metal are the same as those described for the materials of each of the multiple blocks 2.

[0047] <Band> As shown in Figure 1, band 8 has serrations 85 formed on at least one side. In this example, serrations 85 are formed on both sides of band 8. If serrations 85 are formed on both sides of band 8, band 8 can be inserted through the hole 3h of the first block 3 without worrying about the orientation of band 8. Figures 4 to 8 omit the illustration of serrations 85.

[0048] Band 8 has a first end 81 and a second end 82. In this example, band 8 is a member independent of the multiple blocks 2. As shown in Figures 5 to 8, band 8 is inserted through the holes 3h, starting with the second end 82, to sequentially stitch through the first blocks 3 that make up the multiple pairs 30. The surfaces of the multiple blocks 2 and band 8 form a space 9 that divides the multiple cables 10 into multiple groups 100, as band 8 is inserted through the holes 3h to sequentially stitch through the first blocks 3 that make up the multiple pairs 30.

[0049] The first end 81 is equipped with a retaining portion 87 that hooks onto the inlet 3A of the hole 3h. The retaining portion 87 has dimensions that are larger than the opening of the inlet 3A in the direction intersecting the axis of the band 8. By having the above dimensions, the retaining portion 87 hooks onto the periphery of the inlet 3A in the block 2 without entering the inside of the inlet 3A. In this example, the retaining portion 87 is disc-shaped and extends in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the band 8. By pulling the second end 82 with the retaining portion 87 hooked onto the inlet 3A, the multiple cables 10 are tightened to the multiple blocks 2 by the band 8 in groups 100. If the band 8 is equipped with a retaining portion 87, it is possible to prevent the band 8 from coming out in the direction in which it was inserted into the hole 3h and to properly tighten the cables 10 of each group 100 to the multiple blocks 2.

[0050] The width of band 8 is narrower than the spacing between guide rails 710 and 720. Therefore, band 8 can be pulled out vertically from between guide rails 710 and 720. The thickness of band 8 is, for example, less than the thickness of guide rails 710 and 720. Depending on its path, band 8 has a region that does not clamp the cable 10. This region contacts the surface of block 2. If the thickness of band 8 is less than the thickness of guide rails 710 and 720, the region of band 8 that contacts the surface of block 2 will be contained within the retaining mechanism 7, and band 8 will not protrude outside the retaining mechanism 7.

[0051] The length of band 8 can be appropriately selected depending on the number of pairs 30 and the spacing between the first blocks 3 of each pair 30.

[0052] The material of band 8 is either resin or metal. Specific examples of resin and metal are the same as those described for the materials of each of the multiple blocks 2.

[0053] <Usage form> Referring to Figures 4 to 8, several configurations will be described in which, using the cable support member 1 described above, multiple cables 10 are divided into multiple groups 100, and the multiple groups 100 are fixed to multiple blocks 2, which are formed by a single band 8. In each configuration, nine cables 10 are divided into three groups 100, and the three groups 100 are fixed to multiple blocks 2 with a single band 8. The nine cables 10 are divided into groups 100 consisting of two cables 10, groups 100 consisting of three cables 10, and groups 100 consisting of four cables 10. The number of cables 10, the number of groups 100, the number of cables 10 in each group 100, and the placement of the multiple groups 100 can be selected as appropriate. The number of cables 10 that are tightened in each group 100 is one or more.

[0054] ≪Form 1≫ In Form 1, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, three groups 100 are arranged in a row with spacing between them. In this example, all of the blocks 2 are rectangular parallelepipeds of the same size. In this example, as shown in Figure 5, the blocks 2 consist of six first blocks 3, one solid block 5, and two fixing blocks 6. The six first blocks 3 form five pairs 30. One solid block 5 is placed between the first blocks 3 in the middle pair 30. The two fixing blocks 6 are placed between the first blocks 3 in the right pair 30 and the left pair 30, respectively.

[0055] In form 1, all of the blocks 2 are the same size, and one second block 4 is placed between the first blocks 3 in each of the right pair 30, the left pair 30, and the middle pair 30. Therefore, the width of the space 9 formed by the band 8 inserted through the holes 3h of the first block 3 in each pair 30 is the same. The width of the space 9 here is the length of the surface of the multiple blocks 2 that form the space 9, and is the length along the direction in which the multiple blocks 2 are arranged in parallel. In group 100 consisting of two cables 10, the two cables 10 are arranged side by side. In group 100 consisting of three cables 10, one cable 10 is placed on top of two cables 10. In group 100 consisting of four cables 10, two cables 10 are placed on top of two cables 10.

[0056] Band 8 is inserted through the hole 3h, starting with its second end 82, to sequentially stitch through the first block 3, which makes up multiple pairs 30. With the retaining portion 87 formed on the first end 81 of band 8 hooked onto the entrance 3A, the second end 82 is pulled, and the multiple cables 10 are tightened by band 8 to the multiple blocks 2 in groups 100. The tightened second end 82 of band 8 is cut so as not to protrude from the retaining mechanism 7.

[0057] ≪Form 2≫ In Form 2, as shown in Figure 6, the multiple second blocks 4 are equipped with fixing blocks 6 but do not have solid blocks 5. In this example, nothing is placed between the first blocks 3 of the middle pair 30. The configuration is the same as in Form 1, except for the absence of solid blocks 5.

[0058] In form 2, since the solid block 5 is not positioned, the width of the space 9 formed by the band 8 inserted through the hole 3h of the first block 3 of the middle pair 30 is longer vertically than horizontally. Therefore, the two cables 10 positioned in this space 9 are arranged vertically. Consequently, in form 2, the heights of the three groups 100 are approximately the same.

[0059] ≪Form 3≫ In Form 3, as shown in Figure 7, the size of the solid block 5 placed between the first blocks 3 in the middle pair 30 differs from the size of the other blocks 2. Specifically, the length of the solid block 5 is shorter than the length of the other blocks 2. The configuration other than the size of the solid block 5 is the same as in Form 1.

[0060] In form 3, because the solid block 5 is short, the width of the space 9 formed by the band 8 inserted through the hole 3h of the first block 3 of the middle pair 30 is longer vertically than horizontally. Therefore, the two cables 10 placed in this space 9 are arranged vertically. Consequently, in form 3, as in form 2, the heights of the three groups 100 are approximately the same.

[0061] ≪Form 4≫ In Form 4, as shown in Figure 8, the right group 100 and the left group 100 are positioned above the multiple blocks 2, and the middle group 100 is positioned below. In this example, the multiple blocks 2 consist of four first blocks 3 and four solid blocks 5. In this example, there are no fixing blocks 6. The four first blocks 3 form three pairs 30. The four solid blocks 5 consist of two different sizes. The two smaller solid blocks 5 are positioned between the first blocks 3 in the middle pair 30. The two larger solid blocks 5 are positioned one by one between the first blocks 3 in the left and right pairs 30.

[0062] In form 4, since two small solid blocks 5 are placed between the first blocks 3 of the middle pair 30, the width of the space 9 formed by the band 8 inserted through the hole 3h of the first block 3 of each pair 30 is the same in all cases.

[0063] In form 4, the spaces 9 formed by the bands 8 inserted through the holes 3h of the first block 3 of each pair 30 are formed in two above and one below for a plurality of blocks 2. A group 100 consisting of two cables 10 is positioned below the plurality of blocks 2. A group 100 consisting of three cables 10 and a group 100 consisting of four cables 10 are positioned above the plurality of blocks 2.

[0064] In the case of form 4, the fixing part for fixing the cable support member 1 to the installation target is provided, for example, on the holding mechanism 7. Fixing parts (not shown) are provided, for example, on at least one of the first end wall portion 73 and the second end wall portion 74.

[0065] [Embodiment 2] Referring to Figure 9, the cable support member 1 of Embodiment 2 will be described. The first end 81 of the band 8 may be fixed to the first block 3 or the second block 4. In this example, the first end 81 is fixed to the first block 3. In this example, the first block 3 and the band 8 are integrally molded from resin. More specifically, the first end 81 is connected around the exit 3B (Figure 5) of the first block 3. The molded product in which the first block 3 and the band 8 are integrally molded from resin may be a commercially available cable tie. The first end 81 may also be fixed to the second block 4, which does not have a hole 3h. The block 2 to which the first end 81 is fixed is arranged at the end of a plurality of blocks 2. If the first end 81 of the band 8 is fixed to the first block 3 or the second block 4, the block 2 to which the first end 81 is fixed can be arranged in parallel with other blocks 2, allowing the plurality of blocks 2 and the band 8 to be handled as a single unit.

[0066] [Embodiment 3] Referring to Figure 10, the cable support member 1 of Embodiment 3 will be described. The holding mechanism 7 may include engaging portions that are provided to connect adjacent blocks 2 to each other. The engaging portions are formed on each of the multiple blocks 2. The holding mechanism 7 in this example is composed of multiple blocks 2 each having an engaging portion. Each block 2 has a first engaging portion formed on a first surface facing an adjacent block 2, and a second engaging portion formed on a second surface facing another adjacent block 2.

[0067] For example, the first engaging portion is an engaging projection 77, and the second engaging portion is an engaging recess 78. In three blocks 2 arranged in a row, the engaging projection 77 of the right block 2 is fitted into the engaging recess 78 of the middle block 2, and the engaging projection 77 of the middle block 2 is fitted into the engaging recess 78 of the left block 2. The engaging projection 77 is pressed into the engaging recess 78, making it difficult for the engaging projection 77 to come out of the engaging recess 78. However, the press-fitting provides a bonding force sufficient to separate adjacent blocks 2 from each other when they are pulled in opposite directions. The sequential connection of the engaging projections 77 and engaging recesses 78 between adjacent blocks 2 makes it easy to maintain the parallel arrangement of multiple blocks 2.

[0068] In this example, block 2 itself incorporates the holding mechanism 7. Therefore, in this example, it is not necessary to use a separate holding mechanism 7 from block 2, as in Embodiment 1. Block 2 itself is equipped with the holding mechanism 7, and the holding mechanism 7 described in Embodiment 1 may also be used. [Explanation of Symbols]
