Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a fire-resistant structure and a building.

Background Art

[0002] A building has an intersection where an outer wall and the eaves ceiling of a roof (hereinafter referred to as the bottom surface portion of the roof) intersect. A parting member is arranged at the edge of the bottom surface portion of the roof at the intersection. The parting member has a vent hole. The vent hole of the parting member is provided for ventilating the internal space of the roof at the intersection. Patent Document 1 discloses a technique of arranging a thermally expandable material between the back surface portion of the parting member and the outer wall. The thermally expandable material expands in the event of a fire, thereby filling the gap formed between the back surface portion of the parting member and the outer wall. This suppresses intrusion of hot air into the interior of the roof.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] Since the intersection of a building is a portion that can be visually recognized from below the bottom surface portion of the roof, it affects the design of the building. If a thermally expandable material is arranged between the back surface portion of the parting member and the outer wall at the intersection of the building, the thermally expandable material may be visually recognized. If the thermally expandable material is conspicuous, the design of the building may be impaired. In this respect, there is room for improvement in the fire-resistant structure at the intersection.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0005] (1) A fire-resistant structure that solves the above problems is a fire-resistant structure configured around the intersection where the exterior wall of a building and the bottom surface of the roof intersect, comprising a trim material that covers the edge of the bottom surface on the exterior wall side, and a fire-resistant fitting arranged on the trim material, wherein the trim material has a main body that covers the edge of the bottom surface and a first thermal expansion material that expands with heat, the main body has a first opening that connects the outdoor space of the building and the interior space of the roof, the first thermal expansion material is arranged to close at least a part of the first opening by thermal expansion, and the fire-resistant fitting has a first plate that is located between the interior space and the outdoor space, and the first plate has a second opening that connects the outdoor space and the interior space.

[0006] With this configuration, the fire-resistant fittings are placed on top of the trim at the intersection, making them less visible. This helps to suppress the deterioration of the design at the intersection that can occur as a result of placing the fire-resistant fittings.

[0007] (2) In the fire-resistant structure described in (1) above, the fire-resistant fitting has a second thermal expansion material that expands with heat, and the second thermal expansion material is arranged to close at least a part of the second opening by thermal expansion. With this configuration, at least a part of the second opening is closed by the expansion of the second thermal expansion material, so that the transfer of heat elements into the internal space of the roof during a fire can be suppressed.

[0008] (3) In the fire-resistant structure described in (1) above, the fire-resistant fitting comprises a first plate portion, a second plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, and a third plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, wherein the second plate portion has a first surface facing the third plate portion, the third plate portion has a second surface facing the second plate portion, the first surface of the second plate portion intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion at an angle of less than 90 degrees, the upper end of the second plate portion is connected to the edge of the second opening, the upper end of the third plate portion is connected to the end of the first plate portion, the second opening is located in the first plate portion between the connection portion of the first plate portion and the second plate portion and the connection portion of the first plate portion and the third plate portion, and the second thermal expansion material is provided on at least one of the first surface of the second plate portion and the second surface of the third plate portion.

[0009] In this configuration, the upper end of the second plate is connected to the edge of the second opening, and the upper end of the third plate is connected to the end of the first plate. As the second thermal expansion material expands between the first surface of the second plate and the second surface of the third plate, it comes into contact with the second and third plates, causing the second thermal expansion material to expand toward the second opening. As a result, the second opening is easily sealed tightly by the second thermal expansion material.

[0010] (4) In the fire-resistant structure described in (3) above, the first surface of the second plate portion is divided into an upper surface portion including the upper end of the first surface and a lower surface portion located below the upper surface portion, and the second thermal expansion material is provided at least on the lower surface portion of the first surface.

[0011] With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material is provided at least on the lower surface of the first surface, the second thermal expansion material can expand at a position closer to the trim material compared to the case where the second thermal expansion material is provided on the upper surface of the first surface.

[0012] (5) In the fire-resistant structure described in (4) above, the second thermal expansion material is provided on both the first surface of the second plate and the second surface of the third plate, and the first ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material provided on the first surface is lower than the second ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material provided on the second surface.

[0013] In this configuration, because the first ratio is lower than the second ratio, the second thermal expansion material provided on the first surface is less likely to expand and maintain its shape than the second thermal expansion material provided on the second surface of the third plate. Since the second thermal expansion material, which is less likely to maintain its shape, is provided on the underside of the first surface of the second plate, in the event of a fire, the second thermal expansion material provided on the first surface can support the second thermal expansion material provided on the second surface of the third plate from below.

[0014] (6) In the fire-resistant structure described in (3) above, the first surface of the second plate portion is divided into an upper surface portion including the upper end of the first surface and a lower surface portion located below the upper surface portion, and the second thermal expansion material is provided at least on the upper surface portion of the first surface. With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material is provided at least on the upper surface portion of the first surface, the second thermal expansion material can expand near the second opening.

[0015] (7) In the fire-resistant structure described in any one of (3) to (6) above, the first plate portion has the second opening formed therein so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting, the second surface of the third plate portion includes a first region at the same position as the second opening in the longitudinal direction and a second region at a different position from the second opening in the longitudinal direction, and the second thermal expansion material is provided in at least the first region of the second surface of the third plate portion in the longitudinal direction, and is not provided in at least a part of the second region of the second surface.

[0016] With this configuration, the first region of the second surface is in the same position as the second opening in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting, so in the event of a fire, the second thermal expansion material in the first region expands, making it easier to block the second opening. In addition, since the second thermal expansion material is not provided in at least a part of the second region of the second surface, the amount of second thermal expansion material used can be reduced compared to the case where the second thermal expansion material is provided throughout the entire second surface in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting. In this way, the fire-resistant structure can reduce the amount of second thermal expansion material used while maintaining fire resistance performance.

[0017] (8) In the fire-resistant structure described in (2) above, the fire-resistant fitting has a first plate portion and a fourth plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, the lower end of the fourth plate portion is connected to the edge of the second opening, the fourth plate portion has a third surface of the first plate portion facing the second opening, the third surface of the fourth plate portion intersects the upper surface of the first plate portion at an angle of less than 90 degrees, and the second thermal expansion material is provided on the third surface of the fourth plate portion.

[0018] In this configuration, the second thermal expansion material is provided on the third surface of the fourth plate portion that faces the second opening of the first plate portion, so the second thermal expansion material expands toward the second opening. For this reason, the second opening is easily blocked by the second thermal expansion material in the event of a fire.

[0019] (9) In the fire-resistant structure described in any one of (2) to (8) above, the second thermal expansion material is provided on the fourth surface of the first plate portion facing the trim material. With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material is provided on the fourth surface of the first plate portion, the second thermal expansion material expands between the fire-resistant fitting and the trim material in the event of a fire. As a result, the expanded second thermal expansion material can suppress the transfer of heat between the fire-resistant fitting and the trim material.

[0020] (10) In the fire-resistant structure described in any one of (1) to (9) above, an insulating material is provided which is placed on the bottom surface of the roof. With this configuration, the insulating material can suppress the transfer of heat elements from the outdoor space to the interior space through the bottom surface of the roof.

[0021] (11) A building that solves the above problem is a building including an outer wall and a roof, further comprising the fireproof structure according to any one of the above (1) to (10). According to this configuration, the fire resistance performance of the building can be improved by the fireproof structure.

Effects of the Invention

[0022] The fireproof structure and building of the present disclosure can suppress the deterioration of designability that may occur due to the arrangement of the fireproof metal fitting at the intersection where the outer wall and the eaves ceiling of the roof intersect.

[0024] <First Embodiment> The building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 according to the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 8.

[0025] <Buildings> Examples of buildings 10 include houses, community centers, offices, hospitals, public facilities, and shops. The building 10 in this embodiment shown in Figure 1 is a house. The building 10 comprises an exterior wall 11 and a roof 12.

[0026] As shown in Figure 2, a first direction X1 and a second direction X2 are defined in the building 10. The first direction X1 is, for example, the direction along the vertical direction. The second direction X2 is the direction intersecting the first direction X1. The second direction X2 is, for example, the direction along the horizontal direction. In this specification, the second direction X2 is the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the ridge of the roof 12 extends in a plan view. The depth direction X3 is defined as the direction perpendicular to both the first direction X1 and the second direction X2. The cross-sectional view in Figure 2 is a view from the depth direction X3. Note that in Figure 2, the cross-section of the members is shown with hatching or diagonal lines.

[0027] The exterior wall 11 comprises an exterior wall body (not shown) and exterior wall panels 13. The exterior wall body has axial members that serve as the framework of the building 10. The exterior wall panels 13 are fixed to the axial members of the exterior wall body. On the exterior wall 11, materials such as waterproof sheets and insulation are provided inside the exterior wall panels 13.

[0028] The roof 12 has a first axial member 14, a second axial member 15, and a plate member 16. The first axial member 14 constitutes part of the framework of the building 10. The first axial member 14 is arranged to align with the second direction X2 in a plan view and is inclined in the first direction X1. Multiple first axial members 14 are lined up in the depth direction X3. The second axial member 15 is arranged to extend in the depth direction X3. The second axial member 15 is fixed to the lower surface of the first axial member 14. The plate member 16 is positioned below the second axial member 15. The end of the plate member 16 on the side of the outer wall 11 is attached to the lower surface of the second axial member 15 by a trim material 40, which will be described later.

[0029] The first axial member 14 is, for example, a rafter. The second axial member 15 is, for example, a base material for the board member 16. The board member 16 is, for example, an eave board. Roof sheathing boards 17 are placed on top of the first axial member 14. In the example in Figure 2, two roof sheathing boards 17 are placed. Roofing material (not shown) is attached on top of the roof sheathing boards 17. A fascia board 18 is placed at the end of the first axial member 14 on the eave side.

[0030] A crossing section 21 is formed in the building 10. The crossing section 21 is the part where the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12 intersect. The bottom surface 19 of the roof 12 includes, for example, the second axial member 15 and the plate member 16 of the roof 12. At the crossing section 21, a gap is provided between the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12 for ventilation of the internal space S1 of the roof 12. The internal space S1 of the roof 12 includes the space between the insulation material 60 located above the plate member 16 of the roof 12 and the roof sheathing 17. The internal space S1 further includes the space above the surface including the bottom surface of the first axial member 14 at the crossing section 21. In this embodiment, at the intersection 21, the passage space between the second shaft member 15, which is below the surface including the lower surface of the first shaft member 14, and the outer wall 11 is a ventilation passage connecting the interior space S1 of the roof 12 and the exterior space S2 of the building 10.

[0031] In the event of a fire in building 10, there is a risk that thermal elements such as flames, smoke, and heat may be transmitted from the outdoor space S2 of building 10 to the interior space S1 of roof 12 through the gaps in the intersection 21. To suppress the transmission of thermal elements to the interior space S1 of roof 12 through the gaps in the intersection 21 in the event of a fire in building 10, a fire-resistant structure 30 is provided at the intersection 21.

[0032] <Composition of fire-resistant structure> As shown in Figure 2, the building 10 is equipped with a fire-resistant structure 30. The fire-resistant structure 30 is located around the intersection 21 in the building 10. Specifically, the fire-resistant structure 30 is located between the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12, and on the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12. The fire-resistant structure 30 includes a trim piece 40 and fire-resistant fittings 50. In the example in Figure 2, the trim piece 40 and fire-resistant fittings 50 extend in the depth direction X3.

[0033] <Edging material> As shown in Figure 3, the trim 40 covers the edge of the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12 that faces the exterior wall 11. Specifically, the trim 40 covers the edge of the plate member 16 of the roof 12 that faces the exterior wall 11. The trim 40 has a main body 41 and a first thermal expansion material 42. The trim 40 further has a mounting portion 43. The mounting portion 43 is attached to the lower surface of the second axial member 15 of the roof 12 by a fixing member 100. The fixing member 100 is, for example, a screw, nail, or bolt. The material of the main body 41 and the mounting portion 43 is, for example, aluminum.

[0034] The main body portion 41 covers the edge of the bottom portion 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the main body portion 41 covers the edge of the plate member 16 that is on the side of the outer wall 11. The main body portion 41 has a first opening 46 formed therein so as to connect the outdoor space S2 and the indoor space S1.

[0035] As shown in Figure 4, the main body 41 has a first portion 44 and a second portion 45. The first portion 44 is the part of the bottom surface 19 that covers the side surface of the plate member 16. The second portion 45 is the part of the bottom surface 19 that covers the lower surface of the plate member 16. The main body 41 is connected to the mounting portion 43. The upper end of the first portion 44 of the main body 41 is connected to the end of the mounting portion 43 that is on the outer wall 11 side. The lower end of the first portion 44 is connected to the end of the second portion 45 that is on the outer wall 11 side.

[0036] The second portion 45 extends from the first portion 44 along the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12. The second portion 45 supports the end of the plate member 16 of the roof 12. Specifically, the second portion 45 has a support projection 45A that supports the plate member 16 of the roof 12. As shown in Figure 3, when viewing the fire-resistant structure 30 from the outdoor space S2, the second portion 45 of the main body 41 of the trim material 40 is visible.

[0037] As shown in Figure 5, multiple first openings 46 are formed in the main body 41 so as to be aligned along the longitudinal direction of the trim material 40. The longitudinal direction of the trim material 40 corresponds to the depth direction X3. Multiple mounting portions 43 are provided so as to be aligned along the longitudinal direction of the trim material 40. Mounting holes 47 are provided in the mounting portions 43. The fixing member 100 shown in Figure 3 is inserted through the mounting holes 47.

[0038] The first thermal expansion material 42 shown in Figure 5 expands with heat. As shown in Figure 4, the first thermal expansion material 42 is provided in the main body portion 41. The first thermal expansion material 42 is positioned to close at least a portion of the first opening 46 by thermal expansion. Preferably, the first thermal expansion material 42 is positioned in the main body portion 41 to close the gap between the outer wall panel 13 of the outer wall 11 and the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 by thermal expansion (see Figure 3). Specifically, the first thermal expansion material 42 is provided on the side and inside of the first portion 44 of the main body portion 41. In the example in Figure 4, the first portion 44 is composed of a plurality of plate-like members. The first thermal expansion material 42 is provided inside the first portion 44 by being positioned between the plurality of plate-like members.

[0039] <Fireproof fittings> As shown in Figure 3, the fire-resistant fitting 50 is placed on top of the trim 40. The fire-resistant fitting 50 is placed in the gap between the exterior wall 11 and the end of the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the fire-resistant fitting 50 is placed between the second axial member 15 of the roof 12 and the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11. The fire-resistant fitting 50 is made of, for example, a single steel plate. The material of the steel plate of the fire-resistant fitting 50 is, for example, steel or iron. The material of the fire-resistant fitting 50 is selected to have a higher melting point than the material of the main body 41 and mounting portion 43 of the trim 40.

[0040] As shown in Figure 6, the fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first plate portion 51. A second opening 52 is formed in the first plate portion 51. Preferably, the fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first plate portion 51, a second plate portion 53, and a third plate portion 54. The second plate portion 53 intersects with the first plate portion 51. The third plate portion 54 intersects with the first plate portion 51. The second opening 52 is located in the first plate portion 51 between the connection between the first plate portion 51 and the second plate portion 53 and the connection between the first plate portion 51 and the third plate portion 54.

[0041] As shown in Figure 7, the second plate portion 53 has a first surface 57. The first surface 57 is the surface of the second plate portion 53 facing the third plate portion 54. The first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. The angle between the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 60 degrees. The upper end of the second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the second opening 52. In this embodiment, the upper end of the second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the second opening 52 that is opposite to the edge located on the third plate portion 54 side.

[0042] The third plate portion 54 has a second surface 58. The second surface 58 is the surface of the third plate portion 54 that faces the second plate portion 53. The second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 intersects with the lower surface of the first plate portion 51. The angle between the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 90 degrees. The upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51.

[0043] As shown in Figure 7, the fire-resistant fitting 50 further has a first support plate portion 55. The first support plate portion 55 intersects with the first plate portion 51. The upper end of the first support plate portion 55 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51 opposite to the end to which the third plate portion 54 is connected. The first support plate portion 55 extends in a direction that intersects with the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle greater than 90 degrees in a side view, at least when the fire-resistant fitting 50 is not positioned at the intersection portion 21.

[0044] As shown in Figure 8, the second opening 52 is formed to extend in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50 corresponds to the depth direction X3. Specifically, multiple second openings 52 are formed in the first plate portion 51 so as to be aligned in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. Each of the second openings 52 is an elongated hole extending in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second plate portion 53 is provided at the same position as the second openings 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0045] As shown in Figure 7, the fireproof fitting 50 includes a second thermal expansion material 56. The second thermal expansion material 56 expands with heat. The second thermal expansion material 56 includes, for example, a graphite-based thermal expansion material. An example of a thermal expansion material is thermal expansion graphite. The material of the first thermal expansion material 42 of the trim material 40 is similar to that of the second thermal expansion material 56. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on at least one of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. In this embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on both the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0046] The material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 is different from the material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58. Specifically, the first ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 is lower than the second ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58. In one example, the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 contains 7% by mass of thermally expandable graphite, 60% by mass of inorganic filler, and 33% by mass of butyl rubber resin. The second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 contains 35% by mass of thermally expandable graphite, 35% by mass of inorganic filler, 25% by mass of rubber binder etc., and 5% by mass of other fillers. The second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 expands more easily than the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57. The second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 expands less easily than the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58, and therefore maintains its shape more easily than the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58.

[0047] The first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 is divided into an upper surface portion 57A and a lower surface portion 57B. The upper surface portion 57A is the portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 that includes the upper end of the first surface 57. The lower surface portion 57B is the portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 that is located below the upper surface portion 57A. The lower surface portion 57B may also be the portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 that includes the lower end of the first surface 57. In this embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on at least the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57.

[0048] As shown in Figure 8, in this embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 is provided on the first surface 57 so as to extend from one end to the other in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 is provided over the entire second surface 58 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0049] As shown in Figure 3, the third plate portion 54 is attached to the second shaft member 15 of the roof 12, thereby positioning the fire-resistant fitting 50 at the intersection 21. The first support plate portion 55 of the fire-resistant fitting 50 contacts the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 when the fire-resistant fitting 50 is positioned at the intersection 21. The fire-resistant fitting 50 is attached to the second shaft member 15 and to the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 by fastening members such as screws, nails, or bolts (not shown).

[0050] The first plate portion 51 is located between the outdoor space S2 and the indoor space S1. Specifically, the first plate portion 51 is located in the passage space between the second axial member 15 and the outer wall 11 at the intersection 21. The second opening 52 connects the indoor space S1 of the roof 12 and the outdoor space S2 of the building 10. The second thermal expansion material 56 is positioned to close at least a portion of the second opening 52 by thermal expansion.

[0051] The second plate portion 53 of the fire-resistant fitting 50 may be positioned, for example, to prevent water such as rain from entering the internal space S1 of the roof 12 from the intersection 21. Specifically, the second plate portion 53 is located between the first opening 46 of the trim material 40 and the second opening 52 of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0052] <Insulation material> As shown in Figure 2, the fire-resistant structure 30 is equipped with an insulating material 60. The insulating material 60 is placed on the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the insulating material 60 is placed on the upper surface of the plate member 16 of the roof 12, between the second axial member 15 and the fascia board 18. In the example of Figure 2, the insulating material 60 is placed between the first axial members 14 that are aligned in the depth direction X3.

[0053] <Operation of this embodiment> The first operation of this embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant structure 30, the trim material 40 and the fire-resistant fittings 50 are placed at the intersection 21. Therefore, compared to a heat-resistant structure composed only of the trim material 40, heat elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air are less likely to be transmitted from the outdoor space S2 to the indoor space S1 at the intersection 21.

[0054] The second operation of this embodiment will now be described. In this embodiment, the trim 40 has a first thermal expansion material 42. The first thermal expansion material 42 is provided on the main body portion 41. The first thermal expansion material 42 is positioned to block at least a portion of the first opening 46 by thermal expansion. Therefore, compared to the case in which a trim 40 without the first thermal expansion material 42 is provided, the transmission of thermal elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air from the outdoor space S2 to the indoor space S1 can be suppressed.

[0055] The third function of this embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant fitting 50, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on at least one of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54, so the second thermal expansion material 56 expands in the space between the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54. In the first plate portion 51, the second opening 52 is located between the connection between the first plate portion 51 and the second plate portion 53 and the connection between the first plate portion 51 and the third plate portion 54, so the expanded second thermal expansion material 56 comes into contact with the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 and moves toward the second opening 52. In this way, at least a part of the second opening 52 of the fire-resistant fitting 50 is closed in the event of a fire in the building 10.

[0056] A fourth function of this embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant structure 30, the fire-resistant fittings 50 are not exposed to the outdoor space S2, so the design of the intersection 21 is not compromised even when the fire-resistant fittings 50 are installed. By constructing the fire-resistant fittings 50 from steel or iron, which have high melting points, the fire resistance performance of the fire-resistant structure 30 can be improved in the event of a fire, while maintaining the design of the intersection 21 provided by the trim material 40.

[0057] <Effects of this embodiment> The effects of this embodiment will now be explained. (1-1) The fire-resistant structure 30 is constructed around the intersection 21 where the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12 intersect outside the building 10. The fire-resistant structure 30 includes a trim material 40 that covers the edge of the bottom surface 19 on the exterior wall 11 side, and a fire-resistant fitting 50 that is placed on top of the trim material 40. The trim material 40 has a main body 41 that covers the edge of the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12, and a first thermal expansion material 42 that expands with heat. A first opening 46 is formed in the main body 41 so as to connect the exterior space S2 of the building 10 and the interior space S1 of the roof 12. The first thermal expansion material 42 is arranged so as to close at least a part of the first opening 46 by thermal expansion. The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first plate portion 51 that is located between the interior space S1 and the exterior space S2. A second opening 52 is formed in the first plate portion 51, connecting the outdoor space S2 and the indoor space S1.

[0058] With this configuration, the fire-resistant fitting 50 is placed on top of the trim material 40 at the intersection 21, making the fire-resistant fitting 50 difficult to see. This suppresses the deterioration of the design of the intersection 21 that may occur as a result of placing the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0059] Furthermore, since a second opening 52 is formed in the first plate portion 51 of the fire-resistant fitting 50, ventilation can be ensured between the internal space S1 of the roof 12 and the external space S2 of the building 10. The fire-resistant fitting 50 also suppresses the transmission of heat elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air from the external space S2 to the internal space S1. Therefore, according to the fire-resistant structure 30 of this embodiment, ventilation to the internal space S1 of the roof 12 can be ensured and fire resistance can be enhanced while suppressing a decrease in the design quality of the intersection 21.

[0060] (1-2) The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a second thermal expansion material 56 that expands with heat. The second thermal expansion material 56 is positioned to close at least a portion of the second opening 52 by thermal expansion. With this configuration, at least a portion of the second opening 52 is closed by the expansion of the second thermal expansion material 56, so that the transfer of heat elements to the internal space S1 of the roof 12 can be suppressed in the event of a fire.

[0061] (1-3) The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first plate portion 51, a second plate portion 53 intersecting the first plate portion 51, and a third plate portion 54 intersecting the first plate portion 51. The second plate portion 53 has a first surface 57 facing the third plate portion 54. The third plate portion 54 has a second surface 58 facing the second plate portion 53. The first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. The upper end of the second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the second opening 52. The upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51. The second opening 52 is located in the first plate portion 51 between the connection portion between the first plate portion 51 and the second plate portion 53 and the connection portion between the first plate portion 51 and the third plate portion 54. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on at least one of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0062] In this configuration, the upper end of the second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the second opening 52, and the upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51. As the second thermal expansion material 56 expands between the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54, when the second thermal expansion material 56 comes into contact with the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54, the second thermal expansion material 56 expands toward the second opening 52. As a result, the second opening 52 is easily sealed tightly by the second thermal expansion material 56.

[0063] (1-4) The first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 is divided into an upper surface portion 57A including the upper end of the first surface 57 and a lower surface portion 57B located below the upper surface portion 57A. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided at least on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57.

[0064] With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided at least on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57, the second thermal expansion material 56 can expand at a position closer to the trim material 40 compared to the case where the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57.

[0065] (1-5) The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on both the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. The first ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 is lower than the second ratio of thermally expandable material per unit mass in the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58.

[0066] With this configuration, since the first ratio is lower than the second ratio, the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 is less likely to expand and maintain its shape than the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. The second thermal expansion material 56, which is less likely to maintain its shape, is provided on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53. Therefore, in the event of a fire, the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 can support the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 from below.

[0067] (1-6) The fire-resistant structure 30 includes an insulating material 60 placed on the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12. With this configuration, the insulating material 60 can suppress the transfer of heat elements from the outdoor space S2 to the indoor space S1 via the bottom surface 19 of the roof 12.

[0068] (1-7) The building 10 comprises an exterior wall 11 and a roof 12. The building 10 is equipped with a fire-resistant structure 30. With this configuration, the fire-resistant performance of the building 10 can be improved by the fire-resistant structure 30.

[0069] <Second Embodiment> The building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 9 and 10. In this embodiment, components that are substantially unchanged from those of the first embodiment are given the same reference numerals as those of the first embodiment, and their descriptions are omitted. In this embodiment, the configuration of the fire-resistant fittings 50 differs from that of the fire-resistant fittings 50 in the first embodiment.

[0070] As shown in Figure 9, the fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment omits the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 from the fire-resistant fitting 50 in the first embodiment. Furthermore, the fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment omits the first support plate portion 55 from the fire-resistant fitting 50 in the first embodiment. The fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment covers the upper surface of the trim material 40.

[0071] The fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment has a first plate portion 51, a second support plate portion 71, and a fourth plate portion 72. The upper end of the second support plate portion 71 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51 on the side of the outer wall 11. The end of the first plate portion 51 on the side of the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 is sandwiched between the second shaft member 15 and the mounting portion 43 of the trim material 40, thereby supporting the fire-resistant fitting 50 at the intersection portion 21. The second support plate portion 71 is positioned along the first portion 44 of the main body portion 41 of the trim material 40.

[0072] The fourth plate portion 72 intersects with the first plate portion 51. The lower end of the fourth plate portion 72 connects to the upper surface of the first plate portion 51. The lower end of the fourth plate portion 72 connects to the edge of the second opening 52. Specifically, the lower end of the fourth plate portion 72 connects to the edge of the second opening 52 that is opposite to the edge located on the outer wall 11 side.

[0073] The fourth plate portion 72 has a third surface 73. The third surface 73 is the lower surface of the fourth plate portion 72. The third surface 73 is the surface facing the second opening 52 of the first plate portion 51. The third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72 intersects the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. The angle between the fourth plate portion 72 and the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 60 degrees. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72.

[0074] As shown in Figure 10, the fourth plate portion 72 is provided in the same position as the second opening 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second thermal expansion material 56 is located above the second opening 52.

[0075] <Operation of this embodiment> The operation of this embodiment will now be explained. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72. Since the second opening 52 is located below the third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72, the second thermal expansion material 56, which expands during a fire, is likely to expand towards the second opening 52.

[0076] <Effects of this embodiment> The effects of this embodiment will now be explained. (2-1) The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first plate portion 51 and a fourth plate portion 72 that intersects with the first plate portion 51. The lower end of the fourth plate portion 72 is connected to the edge of the second opening 52. The fourth plate portion 72 has a third surface 73 of the first plate portion 51 that faces the second opening 52. The third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72 intersects with the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72.

[0077] In this configuration, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of the fourth plate portion 72 that faces the second opening 52 of the first plate portion 51, so the second thermal expansion material 56 expands toward the second opening 52. For this reason, the second opening 52 is easily blocked by the second thermal expansion material 56 in the event of a fire.

[0078] <Third Embodiment> The building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 11 and 12.

[0079] As shown in Figure 11, the fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment omits the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 from the fire-resistant fitting 50 in the first embodiment. Furthermore, the fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment omits the first support plate portion 55 from the fire-resistant fitting 50 in the first embodiment. In this embodiment, the fire-resistant fitting 50 is supported between the second shaft member 15 and the plate member 16 of the roof 12.

[0080] The fire-resistant fitting 50 in this embodiment comprises a first plate portion 51, a third support plate portion 81, and a connecting plate portion 82. The third support plate portion 81 is fixed between the second axial member 15 of the roof 12 and the mounting portion 43 of the trim material 40. The connecting plate portion 82 connects the first plate portion 51 and the third support plate portion 81.

[0081] In this embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51. The fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 is the surface of the first plate portion 51 facing the trim material 40. A connecting plate portion 82 is connected to one end of the first plate portion 51. A space is provided between the other end of the first plate portion 51 and the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11. The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the end of the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 that is on the side of the exterior wall panel 13.

[0082] As shown in Figures 11 and 12, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided, for example, on the entire fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0083] <Operation of this embodiment> The operation of this embodiment will now be explained. Since the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, the second thermal expansion material 56 expands at least toward the trim material 40 during a fire. As the second thermal expansion material 56 expands to fill the space between the fire-resistant fitting 50 and the trim material 40, the second opening 52 and the gap between the first plate portion 51 and the exterior wall panel 13 are sealed.

[0084] <Effects of this embodiment> The effects of this embodiment will now be explained. (3-1) The second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 that faces the trim material 40. With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, the second thermal expansion material 56 expands between the fire-resistant fitting 50 and the trim material 40. As a result, the expanded second thermal expansion material 56 can suppress the transfer of heat between the fire-resistant fitting 50 and the trim material 40.

[0085] <Fourth Embodiment> The building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 according to the fourth embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 13 and 14.

[0086] In the first embodiment, the angle between the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 was approximately 90 degrees. However, as shown in Figure 13, in this embodiment, the third plate portion 54 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Specifically, the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle of less than 90 degrees. The angle between the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 is set, for example, so that the first plate portion 51 extends parallel to the second direction X2. Note that Figure 13 shows an example in which the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided only on the third plate portion 54.

[0087] As shown in Figure 14, in this modified example, the fire-resistant fitting 50 has a third plate portion 54 that is constructed separately from the first plate portion 51. The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first connecting portion 91 and a second connecting portion 92. The first connecting portion 91 is provided at the end of the first plate portion 51. Specifically, the first connecting portion 91 is provided at the end of the first plate portion 51 that is on the side of the third plate portion 54. The second connecting portion 92 is provided at the end of the third plate portion 54. Specifically, the second connecting portion 92 is provided at the upper end of the third plate portion 54. The second connecting portion 92 is connected to the first connecting portion 91.

[0088] The first connecting portion 91 has, for example, an end portion of the first plate portion 51 in which a first connecting hole is formed. The second connecting portion 92 has, for example, a connecting plate portion 93 in which a second connecting hole is formed. The connecting plate portion 93 intersects with the third plate portion 54. The second connecting portion 92 is connected to the first connecting portion 91 by connecting members such as rivets, bolts, or screws that pass through the first and second connecting holes.

[0089] As shown in Figure 13, in this embodiment, the filling member 94 is provided between the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 and the first support plate portion 55 of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The filling member 94 fills the space between the exterior wall panel 13 and the first support plate portion 55. The filling member 94 is, for example, attached to the first support plate portion 55. The filling member 94 may be provided not only in this embodiment but also in the fire-resistant fitting 50 in the first embodiment.

[0090] <Operation of this embodiment> The operation of this embodiment will now be explained. Since the third plate portion 54 is provided separately from the first plate portion 51, the third plate portion 54 can be selected according to the configuration of the roof 12. By adjusting the mounting angle of the third plate portion 54 with respect to the second joint portion 92, the angle formed by the first plate portion 51 and the third plate portion 54 can be adjusted.

[0091] <Effects of this embodiment> The effects of this embodiment will now be explained. (4-1) The fire-resistant fitting 50 has a first connecting part 91 provided at the end of the first plate portion 51 and a second connecting part 92 provided at the end of the third plate portion 54. The second connecting part 92 is connected to the first connecting part 91. With this configuration, the third plate portion 54 can be connected to the first plate portion 51 by the first connecting part 91 and the second connecting part 92. This makes it possible to use the third plate portion 54 according to the configuration of the roof 12 while keeping the first plate portion 51 common.

[0092] <Variation> The embodiments described above are illustrative of possible forms that the building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 may take, and are not intended to limit their forms. The building 10 and fire-resistant structure 30 may take forms different from those illustrated in the embodiments described above. Examples include forms in which parts of the configuration of each embodiment are replaced, modified, or omitted, or forms in which new configurations are added to each embodiment. Modifications of each embodiment are shown below.

[0093] <First variation> As shown in Figure 15, in the first embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57, but the second thermal expansion material 56 may also be provided on at least the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57. In addition to the upper surface portion 57A, the second thermal expansion material 56 may also be provided on the lower surface portion 57B. With this configuration, since the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on at least the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57, the second thermal expansion material 56 can expand near the second opening 52.

[0094] <Second variation> As shown in Figure 16, the second thermal expansion material 56 may be provided at intervals on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. As shown in Figure 17, the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 includes a first region A1 and a second region A2. The first region A1 is the region of the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 that is in the same position as the second opening 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second region A2 is the region of the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 that is in a different position from the second opening 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0095] In this embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided in the first region A1 of the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second thermal expansion material 56 does not need to be provided in at least a portion of the second region A2 of the second surface 58 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. In the example of Figure 17, the second thermal expansion material 56 is not provided in the second region A2 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. The second thermal expansion material 56 may be provided in at least a portion of the second region A2 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0096] With this configuration, the first region A1 of the second surface 58 is in the same position as the second opening 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. Therefore, in the event of a fire, the second thermal expansion material 56 in the first region A1 expands, making it easier to block the second opening 52. In addition, since the second thermal expansion material 56 is not provided in at least a portion of the second region A2 of the second surface 58, the amount of the second thermal expansion material 56 used can be reduced compared to the case where the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided over the entire second surface 58 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant fitting 50. In this way, the fire-resistant structure 30 can reduce the amount of the second thermal expansion material 56 used while maintaining fire resistance.

[0097] <Third variation> The roof constituting the intersection 21 is not limited to the example of the roof 12 shown in the first embodiment. In each embodiment, a roof with a sloping soffit where the plate members 16 are inclined was given as an example, but the fire-resistant structure 30 can be applied to other roofs as well. For example, the fire-resistant structure 30 may be configured in a roof 12 with a horizontal soffit where the plate members 16 are arranged horizontally, as shown in Figure 18.

[0098] In the roof 12 shown in Figure 18, the second axial member 15 of the roof 12 is fixed to the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 by connecting fittings 22 at a predetermined distance from the exterior wall 11. Multiple connecting fittings 22 are arranged in a line in the depth direction X3. The fire-resistant fittings 50 are positioned between the second axial member 15 and the exterior wall 11, below the connecting fittings 22.

[0099] <Other variations> The configuration of the trim is not limited to the example of the trim 40 shown in the first embodiment. Even in roofs using trim other than the trim 40 shown in the first embodiment, a fire-resistant structure 30 can be constructed by placing the fire-resistant fittings 50 on top of the trim.

[0100] The second thermal expansion material 56 may be omitted from the fire-resistant fitting 50. In this modified example, at least the first plate portion 51 can suppress the transfer of heat from the outdoor space S2 of the building 10 to the internal space S1 of the roof 12.

[0101] In the fire-resistant fitting 50, the material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 may be the same as the material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0102] In the first embodiment, if the first plate portion 51 can be supported at the intersection portion 21, the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 may be omitted from the fire-resistant fitting 50. Furthermore, the first support plate portion 55 may be omitted from the fire-resistant fitting 50.

[0103] In each embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on both the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54, but the second thermal expansion material 56 may be provided on only one of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. In this modified example as well, the second thermal expansion material 56 can expand toward the second opening 52 by coming into contact with the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0104] The material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 may be the same as the material of the second thermal expansion material 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0105] In the third embodiment, the second thermal expansion material 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, but in other embodiments as well, the second thermal expansion material 56 may be provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51.

[0106] This specification discloses the following technologies: [Note 1] A fire-resistant structure configured around the intersection where the exterior wall of a building and the bottom surface of the roof intersect, comprising: a trim material covering the edge of the bottom surface on the exterior wall side; and a fire-resistant fitting placed on the trim material, wherein the trim material has a main body covering the edge of the bottom surface and a first thermal expansion material that expands with heat, the main body has a first opening formed so as to connect the exterior space of the building and the interior space of the roof, the first thermal expansion material is arranged so as to close at least a part of the first opening by thermal expansion, and the fire-resistant fitting has a first plate portion located between the interior space and the exterior space, the first plate portion has a second opening formed so as to connect the exterior space and the interior space.

[0107] [Note 2] The fire-resistant fitting has a second thermal expansion material that expands with heat, and the second thermal expansion material is arranged to close at least a portion of the second opening by thermal expansion, as described in Appendix 1.

[0108] [Note 3] The fire-resistant fitting comprises a first plate portion, a second plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, and a third plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, the second plate portion having a first surface facing the third plate portion, the third plate portion having a second surface facing the second plate portion, the first surface of the second plate portion intersecting the lower surface of the first plate portion at an angle of less than 90 degrees, the upper end of the second plate portion being connected to the edge of the second opening, the upper end of the third plate portion being connected to the end of the first plate portion, the second opening being located in the first plate portion between the connection portion between the first plate portion and the second plate portion and the connection portion between the first plate portion and the third plate portion, and the second thermal expansion material being provided on at least one of the first surface of the second plate portion and the second surface of the third plate portion, as described in Appendix 2.
