Abstract
The present invention provides maitake polysaccharide GFP22, a method for its production, and its use in the production of prebiotic products and antibacterial adjuvants. This maitake polysaccharide GFP22 is a glucomannan formed by polymerizing mannose and glucose, with a mannose:glucose ratio of 2.88:5.24, and has the following structure and a weight-average molecular weight of 4.9 kDa. Maitake polysaccharide GFP22 promotes the synthesis of short-chain fatty acids in the intestine, regulates the homeostasis of the intestinal microflora, promotes the growth of bifidobacteria, and inhibits the growth of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Therefore, it is expected to be used in the development of sugar-based prebiotic products and anti-Klebsiella pneumoniae adjuvants.
