Abstract

Cable fault detection using reconstructed reflected signals, and related systems, methods, and devices, are disclosed. The apparatus includes a terminal for supplying and observing signals to a cable, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is capable of reconstructing the reflected signals at least in part in response to the observed signals, generating a correlation value between the reconstructed reflected signals and a plurality of signals representing variably delayed transmitted signals, and determining whether a fault is present in the cable at least in part in response to the correlation value.
